Simple but solid place to stay. The people that work there are dedicated. We told the Sunday morning front desk person about glass in the parking lot. BEFORE we could pull out SHE was sweeping it away. She is a get it done person. The room was simple and clean. The only big complaint was that for room 215, the curtain only goes half way across and there is a BRIGHT LIGHT shining into the hotel room all night long. The coffee isn't great. The waffles are delicious. We would stay here again. Even though they are pet friendly, our room did not smell like any animal.

Virginia Tech Graduation. Convenient location, clean room, friendly attentive staff. The only drawback (other than the Commencent pricing) was the noisy, and I mean noisy, a/c unit. If you need a room in Blacksburg on a non VT event weekend this is a fine,reasonably priced option. Just leave the a/c off.

After 9 hours on the road, my sidekick and I was ready for a room. I checked around and found this one, the price was right. Made a reservation and stopped in, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful, took care of everything including recommendation of a great BBQ. We got to the room and it was pretty good size, and very clean. I was surprised being pet friendly there was no smell of any kind. Also they have a outside pool that is open, we are headed to it now. No breakfast but they let you choose what you want, they bring it to the room, great deal! If I’m down this way again, will stay here for sure.

Could not have been a worse experience but they know they have the demand of a college town .
The front desk clerk told us to park in the front of the hotel because the back was poorly lit and “s**t” happens back there. She said she would never park back there.
When we arrived to our hotel room the carpets were filthy and not vacuumed. In addition there were no towels and the bathroom had mold on the ceiling. When we went to the front desk to ask for our room to be cleaned and vacuumed the next day a note was left in our room saying they didn’t have time to clean and took all of our towels again without replacing them. In the end our room was never clean and was dirty prior to arriving.
Further the hallways were littered with trash and the cleaning crew simply wheeled past the trash and placed their carts in the middle of the hallways making it difficult to walk around without moving them.
The breakfast is organized by an older woman who scowled at everyone. When a woman asked a question about plastic forks she laid into her explaining she needed to look more carefully as they were jammed in with the spoons.
I could go on….but hotels like this need to be kept in check even though the demand for rooms is high In Blacksburg.

We have a good crew and they work hard to do things the right way which is why we have good scores. This hotel checked the important boxes - clean and quiet room, comfortable bed. Room included fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Shower had good pressure and hot water. Breakfast included waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breads, yogurt, instant oatmeal, juice, and a selection of herbal teas in addition to coffee. It didn't bother me that the toiletries are all different brands. This place is just a little less fancy than Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc., but costs a lot less and will be my go-to place for all future trips to VA Tech.

Called several "pet-friendly" hotels in Blacksburg before a recent trip with the family dog, and the Comfort Inn was the only one not to charge an additional fee (as high as $75!) for pets. And I was very pleased, when I called the front desk to confirm, that I could make my reservation directly with the manager, Stacey, and not get bounced to some far-away call center. That seems like a rarity these days. This Comfort Inn is not super luxurious, but it is comfy and clean and the staff is friendly. Will stay again next time we're passing through.

This hotel is great for dog owners and anyone who is visiting the area. So close to Virginia Tech and close to Christiansburg shopping and restaurants too. Big plus is the friendliness of the front desk manager whose name I believe is Stacie?? Nice that breakfast is included too.

We stayed overnight on our travels towards Knoxville. We had a nice room with a king sized bed. They didn’t have a handicap accessible room available, but they did put us on the first floor. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was nice with various hot items as well as pastries and cereal. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

We almost always pick this hotel whe we come to BBg to see son. Hotel is very convenient to food , shopping and college. Great mid-range hotel and the staff is always tops. Whether we checking early or late they is always pleasant person ready to greet me at the front desk.

Very clean, pet friendly with no extra charge. Reasonably priced and breakfast included. Staff very friendly and polite. Highly recommend. Good variety of breakfast items and tasty. Outside and inside was very clean. Ice water and flavored water provided in lobby nice extra touch.
