Our first visit to Burlington so we were not quite sure where to stay. The Hilton Garden Inn was perfect. Located near the lake and many good restaurants, the hotel provided an easy base. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the rooms clean and quite.

Stayed two nights and had a wonderful experience. Opted to pay 20.00 for parking which is well worth it. The valet attendants were very efficient and courteous and made sure everyone had their cars promptly and with big smiles even though these guys were out in the cold alot. Thanks guys...great job! The front desk staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful. Such a welcoming atmosphere at this place! The hotel room was clean, with a comfortable bed and all necessary amenities....great shower too. Although there was dining for breakfast and dinner, we chose to sample a few of the restaurants locally which were only a very short walk away due to the great location of this hotel. Lake Champlain waterfront was also a short stroll away. We did a few day hikes which were a short drive away and were happy to end the day at this hotel with their great staff. Thanks for a great stay. We will return.

Ms. Moore,

Hello. I hope this message finds you and all your team doing well. Although we have not met, I feel that you are familiar because of your team at Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown. Many on your team had appreciative and kind words to share about you as well as a commanding respect for your position. Before my work takes hold of my days and makes the memories of our stay that I attach importance to begin to fade away like every happy dream, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your team for making our first visit to Vermont the week of 2021 August 23rd a most enjoyable and memorable one. Everyone’s attention to detail, professional conduct, helpfulness, heartfelt hospitality, and on the whole happy nature made us feel very welcomed and at home in our new surroundings. I am sure that in a very short time your team will make your property known to the finest of Burlington and its visitors as the place to be to enjoy life.

I must finish this here but would ask that you share this with all your team at your next gathering to let them know our deepest thanks. During these difficult times we can all use a kind word. My family and especially myself miss Vermont not just because we were on vacation. You are the reason why we choose the Hilton brand all the time. You uphold the hallmark standard we value as Diamond Members that Conrad Nicholson Hilton strived for when he founded Hilton Hotel and Resorts in 1919 to be today one of the largest hotel brands in the world. Members for over twenty years we have never stayed somewhere so amazing and memorable.

Should we be given a moment away from the daily grind and challenges of the regular day I hope to return to Burlington, VT. Until then I would like to hear from anyone via my email to be sure that all are still doing well, in good spirits, and to daydream. To better times, healthier times, happier times. May they return soon to all of us.

Kindly,
Ed

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn over President’s Day Weekend. This was a busy travel weekend in the area and we stayed at this hotel as we are an existing honors member and it was one of the few hotels which still had a suite available. We were traveling with our two teenagers and needed extra space. We had a view of the lake but that was the extent of the positives we found at this hotel. We had two rooms, and upon entering the suite only found one which had the heat on. The second room was set at 58 and to cool and was frigid. Temps in Burlington were well below freezing and the room was ice cold. We adjusted the thermostat and left for dinner. It was only at dinner at an outside restaurant that we were notified due a water main break that there was a boil water advisory for the area. We were not notified of this public health hazard at check in nor were we offered any bottled water during our stay for brushing teeth etc.. We stayed two nights and while there was water pressure, the water took about ten minutes to eventually heat up. The second room only had a pull out couch, inadequate bedding and was very uncomfortable. If you are looking to book a suite or extra space to accommodate extra travelers, don’t waste your money on this hotel. We have been in Burlington frequently as we have a child attending one of the local colleges. There are far better options in this area and with far better service. Don’t waste your money or time at this Hilton.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave some feedback about your recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I am so sorry to read that while you were with us you experienced a few significant issues that impacted your stay. I am so sorry that you were not made explicitly aware of the water main issue In Burlington upon your arrival. We did our best to stay up to date with the city's advice and to have documentation available to our guests about the issue. We understand that water safety is extremely important and I apologize that it was not communicated to you. I am also sorry to read that you felt the suite was not a good fit for your accommodation needs. Our king suite rooms are sold and advertised as one bedroom with a separate living room, not as two distinctive bedrooms. I understand that though the room can accommodate up to five occupants it may be easier on future stays to choose an adjoining king and double queen room. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the hotel directly in the future so we can work to make sure we can find a set up that better meets your needs. Thank you again for taking the time to reach out to us and for your thoughtful review. We hope that you will consider giving us another chance on a future trip to Burlington and will give us the opportunity to provide the level of attention to your needs and service that you rightfully expected.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown 3/11-3/13. I checked in with staff at around 6:30PM and let them know I was going to have a dog with me - they told me there would be a $45 flat fee charge for the stay which I agreed to. My booking was through a third party called HotelTonight. I provided a card for incidentals and deposit at check in. On the first night, tired after a 3 hour drive from Albany I took the dog for a walk and went to bed. On Saturday I had plans to go shopping on Church street and go to the comedy club (which is very close) in the evening. Again, no issues. Spent very little time in the room. Fast forward to check out on Sunday, I was cleaning the room and making sure I got all of my things together and noted some small blood speckles where the corner of the wall meets the floor. I had seen this before at my home a long time ago when my dog had an ear infection. I cleaned it up thinking that's what it was and took a look at my dogs ears and paws - there was no bleeding and they were not irritated. I looked around a little further and found blood on higher up portions of the wall (much higher up, around chest height). I also found speckles of blood on the linens. I pulled the tucked linens off of the foot of the bed and found more blood there. There is no way my dog could have gotten blood in that area, especially because he had no findings of blood on his ears or paws. I told the front desk agent when checking out and showed her the pictures. She said that my pet fee would be refunded and offered an apology. I would have let it go at that, but the next day I noted an additional $377 in fees attached to my account, when I called to follow up about it they said it was for pet damage. Attempted to call operations manager and housekeeping 2x each, left a message for them. No response yet. I'm an honest person and was upfront about my findings, which were absolutely gross and fairly distressing. I am pretty upset about how I was treated.

It was nice to just park the car and walk to the restaurants and shops in downtown Burlington. The hotel is quite new with the lobby and dining room in an old armoury. The rooms are standard chain hotel style but clean and roomy. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The only disappointment was the breakfast - we had to pay for the buffet which wasn’t as good as what you normally get for free in most chains -the porridge had run out, my friend couldn’t cut through her sausage and the toaster barely worked. The pineapple was rotten. My made to order omelette though was tasty. Staff were pleasant. The $20 per day valet parking seemed a little steep for a Garden Inn in Burlington. Because of the hotel design it is a long walk to the rooms.

My daughters and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently and had an ok experience. The location of the hotel is wonderful, allowing quick access by foot to the waterfront and all of downtown, and the public spaces were nice, clean and modern. That being said, our room had a few maintenance, upkeep and privacy issues that were not so great. First, we were put in a room that had a connecting door to the room next door, and although the door was fully shut, noise from next door came through clearly, including the audio portion of our neighbor's intimate encounters. So much fun for me to enjoy with my two daughters . . . Moreover, our A/C had been shut off from inside the wall panel, so it could not turn on. Maintenance had to come in, remove the panel and reset it, and also change the filthy filter at the same time. In the bathroom, we only had a couple of towels stocked for our arrival, so we had to find housekeeping to get enough towels for all of us along with the floor mats needed for the bathroom floor. The bathtub drain was clogged, which meant water and soap scum quickly rose around feet and ankles during a shower. All said, attention to room condition was lacking and needs improvement.

Burlington is a very walkable little city. This location is close to Flynn Theatre, restaurants, shops, the lake and bike path. Hotel is clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Price was good. The only onsite parking is valet parking which adds to your per night cost.

I haven't had much luck with Hilton Garden Inns, but this was an exception. I guess the biggest problem has always been service, but using the app I didn't have to interact with anyone. Definitely overpriced, but good location and a nice room. There were a couple of issues with the room, but it was comfortable and pretty clean. It was annoying to pay this much for a room in Burlington, and then still be charged $20 for parking, but it was nice to be right there. There was plenty of street parking the night we were there, though.

Here are the details:
Comparison to others in chain: Slightly better
Internet: 10/10 - hard to join, typical Hilton limited internet
Breakfast: Didn't try, but probably not offered
Room: Needs a little bit of maintenance here and there (door to bathroom drags, faucet hard to turn off), but decent
Cleanliness: Pretty clean
Bed: Average
Bedding: Not quite as good as at Hampton
Shower: A little low pressure
Hard water: No
HVAC: Good, not a wall unit
Location: Great
Noise: Quiet, except room to room (TV next door)
Staff: N/A
Cost/Value: Pretty expensive for where it is

Outstanding location downtown. Staff (desk, valets, housekeeping) could not be friendlier or more efficient and accommodating. Hotel is attractive and well kept. Room and bathroom, while appointed fine, were relatively small as downtown hotels are and walls seemed thin as we could hear neighbors and into the hall fairly clearly. TV worked slowly for some reason. Fitness room was very good, although we didn’t look at the pool. Breakfast was extra (we didn’t try it) although coffee was included. I would have preferred easier access to the car- the valets were very fast, but this is an expensive option at $20/day plus tipping whenever they grab the car. We tried to stay on foot as much as we could. Overall a very good stay and I would return (at least the times of year that I can afford it!).
