The long and the short of it is that I couldn't get the shirt back. It definitely wasn't cheap, but it was more the fact that I was jerked around for a week that bothered me, especially after discovering my mistake so soon and calling back the same day. It seemed like something that could and should have been resolved fairly quickly. I'm 100% certain it was left it that closet and the fact that it couldn't be located and it took a week of brushing me off to find this out seems a bit......'suspicious' is a strong word, so we'll go with 'questionable'. While I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying here, definitely keep track of your stuff, because if you lose something, you most likely won't get it back.
We tried to get another room and it was such a trouble and they charged $244 for a normal room ($244 is for suite) when a normal room is $150; which the website said.
They were just being lazy and one of our friends was on the phone with the manger and the manager was cursing at her and saying the F word and using bad language. She obviously was mad and was yelling back. They charged $500 pending on someone’s card. When we got a room someone else was in it. I recommend not going here unless you want to be mad. At the end of the day we had no rooms, the employees didn’t have a clue and they were mean and they rolled their eyes at us.
We used Priceline to make th room reservation.
The first room we were assigned was a king suite. This is what we had paid for.
The sheets had not been changed. There was a large hairball on the right side of the bed inside the sheets. It was composed of long blonde and brown hairs twisted together with lint. There is no way this could be missed if you we changing sheets on the bed.
On the left side were lots of loose dark hairs. This room had a funky smell to it and carpet was filthy.
The only other room available was a double queen. We had bugs crawling on us all night...spiders and flying insects. The carpet was filthy with a huge stain in it, right where you had to walk.
This hotel is also right next to the interstate. You could throw a rock and hit it. There was constant traffic noise even above the fan sound of thea/c unit.
The hallway carpeting is even more filthy than the room carpeting.
The free hot breakfast is gross with limited seating in a small room.
Staff were helpful and courteous, but there was nothing else they could do. Priceline was of no help. They offered us a 15% off our next reservation. This was as helpful as a free hamburger at a greasy roadside joint.
My take away is you would be better served to stay away from Priceline and definitely stay somewhere else. I would rank this property a 4/10. It doesn't deserve a 2.5 star hotel ranking. I would give it a 1.0 star ranking.
The first room I had, had such horrible freeway and outside noise I could not rest or sleep. They did change my room.
But the worst of it, was that some things like my personal perfume, my crochet hooks and other personal items I normally watched very closely, went missing.
I never found these items - my perfume was fairly expensive. I did not feel too well treated. I don't really recommend them.
I am a hotel employee elsewhere and know what a good hotel is supposed to be like - while the rooms are nice, etc, if service is bad and if somebody is not honest, then its just not good.
This hotel is not-so-covertly hosting a drug operation. Don't come here.
The second night of our stay, We had a difficult situation which was very hard for us to fix. Abhi stepped up and took control and resolved it. He single-handedly saved us $124 that would’ve been lost.
His customer service skills went above and beyond the expected.
Another reason we love staying at Comfort Inns.
PS. We love the large sausage patties and country gravy also.
