The hardest thing to do in the service industry is taking what works well and executing that service level reliably with every guest every day through staff and management changes, creating an expectation for your guests. This hotel not only understands this premise, but delivers. After a three year break in my SLC travels, I found myself back at this property.

Every time I stay, I appreciate how clean and fresh the property looks. The lobby and rooms always look like they were just renovated (given my travel frequency to this hotel over prior years, renovating multiple times per year is unlikely). But they clearly take care of their property and do maintenance regularly so they don't have to wait for a major renovation. This approach avoids the tired rooms other hotels can offer about a year before such overhaul projects.

The front desk team members are always polite and service oriented. "How can I ... ?" is their mindset.

Their restaurant team is very helpful, particularly if you need food to go for your day's travels. Excellent breakfast service with both a generous buffet and hot menu options made fresh.

All this from a AAA three Diamond property. There are many other three and four Diamond properties that can learn from the management team here. That's a well earned compliment. Keep up the great work.

We love this hotel and stay here whenever we travel to SLC. Great location, access to freeway, shopping, dining, theater and skiing. Complimentary shuttle and accommodating staff make this property a real value.

I enjoyed staying there. I had to attend a training class there. It was great to be where the class was and not worry about traveling to another place to stay. The breakfast was superb. I had it included when booking my room. Very clean. The only part I would put that was not very good is that it is so close to the freeway and you hear everything. The first night wasn't as pleasant as the 2nd and 3rd night because the front desk had ear plugs.

I used points to book and pay for this room. Upon check out there was a balance owning of $17.00. I advised the front desk and they confirmed I paid with point but apparently I was not charged the right amount of point and owed $17.00 more.

I have never been charged cash when a room was booked and prepaid with points. That was a disingenuous answer to my question why and I feel cheated. I did not use any additional devices, no water bottles, no internet, no tv. We only slept in the bed and used the bathroom.

The clerk looked over the bill and said he could not see anything and yet I had to pay. That is not how loyalty is earned. I am a longtime HiltonHonors member and I’m looking at other reward programs from here on.

Honestly, for a modern hotel to be wood construction and not concrete floors is ridiculous. You can hear people above you walking and the people in the rooms next door can be heard talking, coughing, etc. Just very annoying to stay at what you expect to be a quality hotel because it's a Hilton property to learn they built the place so cheaply. I could have stayed at a Sleep Inn or somewhere else and had this experience. Very disappointing for a Hilton property.

I only give it 3/5 because it's clean, newer, etc.

As a Hilton gold member for almost 15 years we are extremely disappointed in the Hilton products and especially in services. There is a constant nickel and diming that is insulting to loyal guests. The new meal voucher is merely away to charge more money. It is impossible to eat breakfast for the $20 voucher you are given.

This is one of the very best Hilton Garden Inns I have ever stayed at. Very, very clean throughout the property. The attention to detail is what sets it apart. Besides the cleanliness, small things were noticed and appreciated. Their restaurant was open for both breakfast and dinner. A pot of coffee is available in the lobby in the morning. Housekeepers were noted cleaning the windows in public areas. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a small issue with our a/c unit, and maintenance had it fixed in less than 15 minutes. Well done HGI Sandy UT!

I always get nervous about the feel of a hotel room, will it be muggy, stuffy, smelly or old? I was immediately happy with this room. It was very comfortable and clean. The AC worked well even with temperatures outside at 100 degrees.

We stayed here an evening in route to the show me state. Our check in went very smoothly. The attendant on duty was very friendly, patient and professional. We also enjoyed our breakfast.; it was delicious! Kuddos to the chef and the waitress. All staff were very friendly and the room was nice. The one issue was the water regulator; I had a hard time adjusting the water for comfort. Aside from that all was well. The location is within walking distance of various restaurants so enjoy the stroll. If I travel this route again I would not hesitate to stop.
