Staying at Provo Marriott was OK.
Friendly staff.

BUT....
Three things to keep in mind:
1) Wood floor slippery if feet wet. I am 73-years old. I took a hard fall on the wood floor because my feet had Vaseline on them. Grateful that my two younger sisters gently lifted me up. Got a sore body for few days. Wear socks to prevent the fall.
2) No microwave. We stayed on the 3rd floor and wished microwave was available for our use.
3) As guests from California, cost for a bottle of water at home would be $2. This hotel doubles the price. Buying snacks, sodas, and water here is very expensive.

Reenterprising, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center and providing your honest feedback. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us and leaving comments where we can enhance our guests experience and improve our services. Evaluations like these help us improve our hotel and the needs of our guests. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during your stay and not having a microwave in your room. When making the reservation you would want to select our larger room, rather than our standard room. These rooms do have a small fridge, microwave and sink in the room when available. Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to Provo.

I come every year to play in a golf tournament in Midway Utah, well this year I booked the Provo Marriott Hotel. All i can say is WOW!!. This hotel is so amazing the staff and the entire hotel is the nicest hotel in Provo and one of the nicest in the State of Utah it is in the top 5 hotels in the State of Utah.

It is walking distance to everything in Downtown Provo, our suite that they provided us was simply AMAZING!! we had a 7th floor suite looking over the whole City of Provo and the Fireworks Show that Provo did was AMAZING!! all I can say about this hotel is that if you need a very nice hotel in Provo this is the place to stay I will never at another hotel in Provo.

I highly recommend this hotel it was so relaxing for my wife and I and our family I want to thank the staff for being so AMAZING!!

We spent one night at this hotel, and next time we will probably stay elsewhere. Nothing big, but for the price, we can probably do better elsewhere. Parking in the structure is exceptionally tight, especially if you drive a full sized truck. Long line for check in, and while I waited in the truck, front desk clerk wanted to see my ID, as I had made the reservation – never mind that my wife has the same last name, address and credit card number. The room was a pretty standard layout with plenty of room. Decent desk, built in refrigerator, coffee maker. Not the most comfortable bed, but not the worst either.

There was a printed hotel note on the desk: “Daily Trash Collection: Let us help keep your room clean & fresh. Simply use this trash bag to fill you’re your trash. Once full, leave outside your door. Someone will be by to discard and replace with a new bag.” So I guess we are supposed to go around the room emptying various cans and put it all outside? I have traveled a fair amount in the last 50 years, and I have never seen this before. Not in any country, not in 5 star hotels or motel 6. Very strange.

Marriotts have gone downhill recently. Our at least in this Provo property they have. We are titanium members and no longer does there seem to be any perks like previous. Not sure if it’s a local property problem or systemic. We tried to use suite night rewards and they won’t let you unless you give a week notice. This isn’t helpful when you travel last minute.

When we tried to get just a complimentary upgrade is was like bartering at the market in a 3rd world country. Eventually able to get a ‘complimentary ‘ upgrade by paying for it every night. Have never had to do that in our years of titanium membership.

There is no concierge lounge access because of COVID-19. Breakfast is supposed to be included when lounges are closed. Guess what? They told us we could pay an overpriced amount for the breakfast that is supposed to be included. What a joke. We spent the last month one the road overseas and never had this issue in other brands of hotels or Marriott. Don’t know what’s going on with this property. Stay away if you are expecting a nice typical Marriott stay .... this place is anything but that.

Oh yeah. They also don’t clean your rooms daily anymore.... it’s once a week. We never once had that over the past month of travels in various hotels. The breakfast was always included and the rooms were cleaned daily.

We travel a lot. Can no longer endorse Marriott. We recommend Hilton. They clean rooms daily and the loyalty program now appears much better they accruals deliver on perks and rewards unlike Marriott where it’s now like pulling teeth to get any perks like they used too. Unfortunate.

Stay away from Provo Marriott folks especially if youare a rewards/bonvoy member. It means nothing here. Unless you enjoy haggling like in a 3rd world market for anything that used to be standard included service and set Marriott apart.

Bbettermd, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center and providing your honest feedback. We appreciate your loyalty to Marriott and your Titanium status. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. Our property has limited suites which are typically contracted and subject to availability. In order to use a members suite rewards the reservation needs to be reserved for One night and is based on the hotels availability. At check-in vouchers are provided to rewards members for our restaurant's breakfast buffet each morning that the lounge is closed. We are working through the state requirements to ensure our hotel is clean as well as our guests and team members feel safe. We will certainly use your constructive feedback to improve the quality of our hotel and guest experience to ensure it doesn’t occur in the future. Evaluations like these help us improve our hotel and service. I am sorry to hear your experience had a negative impact on your stay and you feel that you can’t come back to the hotel; however, if your travels bring you back to Provo we hope you choose us again. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us during these unusual times.

I am so disappointed in Marriott. If you are a status member, reconsider a stay. Even with titanium elite status, there were no room up upgrades (staff claimed they were fully booked), no breakfast coupons beyond two (claimed they had a strict hotel policy against giving any additional for our two children), no lounge access (closed on weekends or bcs of covid?), and no room considerations, specifically a room with a view. There was absolutely no regard at all for the fact that we are loyal Marriott customers. They seemed to care less. They also didn’t fulfill our room preferences (high floor, etc.) which would have been an easy accommodation.

A room was booked for April 12th and cancelled at 5:46pm on April 11th, the hotel cancel policy is one day in advance. When I called about the no-show bill, Carley at the front desk said that there was nothing she could do about the bill. She transferred me to someone else when I questioned her and that person never called back. Even on the Marriott website it states:
• You may cancel your reservation for no charge before 11:59 PM local hotel time on May 24, 2021 (1 day[s] before arrival).

I had to call back another time and when I told Carley what Marriott website stated she agreed to reverse the charges, but sounded completely put out as if it were my fault. Anyone who had ANY level of good customer service would have apologized and happily refund the charge. Someone is in desperate need of training if that is her idea of customer service.

Our son plays hockey and we were in Provo for a stay and play tournament. This means they get teams to sign up and they then tell you where you will stay. After traveling early in the morning and having two games, one in Provo and one in South Salt Lake, we returned to the Marriott to check in so our 10 year old could rest before his 5:50pm game. It was after 3pm and we were informed our room was not ready. We were not the only family with this news. Accommodations for this tournament were made well in advance, so the lack of preparedness had nothing to do with a surprise number of families showing up requesting a room. We have two children who play hockey and we have traveled A LOT with them. We have been in more than our share of hotels. I would expect this from other hotel chains, but not Marriott. We remain in the lobby, our room is not ready, and it is almost 5pm. If our hockey travels bring us back to Provo, we will NOT be staying at the Marriott. We will also share this information with the many other hockey families in our traveling circles.

We stayed at the Marriott in Provo for a family wedding. There were numerous guests and family staying at this hotel. We are from out of state and on Saturday morning there was a football game that we were all very anxious to see and were thrilled to note the hotel had numerous tv's throughout their property in public settings (chairs and couches around the big screen in the hall area, 2 tvs in the coffee area and 2 more tv screens in the bar/restaurant area.
At least 15 of us were anxious to cheer on our favorite team which was going to be aired on Fox.
An hour prior to the game we asked the front desk manager if they would accommodate us by changing the channel on the large screen tv which was obviously set up for their guests to watch. Their answer was simple and to the point, "No". Thinking they must have misunderstood me, I explained the game and how there were a number of us wanting to watch it on a large screen together as a family and the front desk manager replied back, "No, we cannot change the channel". The channel was set to ESPN (a sports network which was showing a different game, so to say we didn't understand the issue is putting it mildly.)
I assumed she didn't understand that we were the numerous guests that were staying at their hotel for 3-5 nights, the bride to be and groom in the suite and the parents both in suites, but after my explaining the answered stayed the same.
I tried a different tactic and asked if we could have the tvs turned on in the bar to the channel, (albeit they were not as large screened as the hallway area one, they would suffice. She responded that they could not. When I asked her why, she would not explain but only stated we cannot do that.
We are older and have traveled and stayed at many hotels over the years and we know hotels do have complete control over the tvs and are most accommodating to their guests when requested for a change of channel, but the Marriott in Provo not only would not do it, they wouldn't even give an answer why, only that they were not going to change them.
Thousands of dollars were spent at this hotel and we couldn't even get a tv turned to Fox network for a football game at 10am in the morning. We are all adults, and many of us older and so there was no worry that we'd be out of control or loud.
Marriott should be ashamed of this service in Provo Utah, and be aware we will be sharing this story with many for years to come.

After a disappointing few nights at a less than lovely Marriott property, our last night in Utah was at this Provo property. From the minute we arrived, the staff could not have been lovelier. When checking into our rooms, one was spotless, the other not made up yet by housekeeping. When we called down to the desk, they were extremely apologetic and helped us secure a new room ASAP. The accommodations are spacious, amenities plentiful and rooms are spotless. The staff at the bar (extra special shout out to our server Tol) was terrific and the hummus was delicious! While Provo is not my usual destination, if work brings me back to town, this place is where I’ll stay. One word of caution: the imitation Starbucks in the lobby is SLOW in the morning, but the chai tea latte did not disappoint.

This information is from a different hotel, but likely is similar. To be certain, you should contact the hotel directly as each property may have different policies. Here is something I found about the Nashville Marriott: Package Shipment Information All packages should be shipped and INDIVIDUALLY labeled to the hotel as follows: Nashville Airport Marriott Group or Show Name Attention: (Registered Guest Name with Check In Date) 600 Marriott Drive Nashville, TN 37214 Hotel Contact Name (if applicable) Multiple boxes/containers should each be marked as follows: “(box number) of (total number shipped)“. For example: Box 1 of 4, Box 2 of 4 Shipping Policies: 1) All packages sent should be labeled as listed above. 2) The hotel will accept shipments only the preceding three (3) days before the event. Shipments received earlier than three (3) days before the event will be assessed a $25.00 per day storage fee Incoming Shipping Charges: (Charge includes receiving, storage, handling and outbound shipping) Express Packs/Envelopes: Box/Container under 25 pounds: Box/Container 25 pounds or more: Pallets/Freight Items: Complimentary $ 5.00 each $10.00 each $50.00 each • All package charges for individual guests/exhibitors registered with the hotel will be placed on the guest room folio. • All other package charges will be placed on the group master account.
