Stayed here for the night for my anniversary. Staff was exceptional in the lounge, the front desk, concierge, shuttle driver, and the valet staff. all exceptional. the property is absolutely beautiful, beautiful views. They have Along The driveway up to the Facility absolutely beautiful with lights on the trees. We had a private hot tub attached to our room. It was nice to relax after a fun day out in town. We did not use the pool or outdoor hot tub however the scenery is very nice and the pool is heated even during winter.

Hello Priscilla R, Thank you for choosing Steins for your anniversary. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. The lights along the access drive are beautiful, especially at night. We hope you return soon and have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor pools and hot tubs. Thank you for the nice review.

Wanted to meet some friends at the Stein since we had all stayed there in the past so knew what to expect. We were able to upgrade to a beautiful lodge room with a large fireplace and view of the mountains for a very reasonable price (be sure to ask when you check in!) As usual the service was amazing at all levels. They have really good Covid practices in place in their dining areas and we really appreciated the family style breakfast (which was huge and delicious) that took the place of the buffet. The shuttle can run you down to the main drag for shopping or for meals and is so convenient since parking would have been difficult otherwise. The spa was as luxurious as ever and they followed safety procedures and enjoyed my massage. I highly recommend Stein, it's a wonderful place.

This is not our first trip to Stein Eriksen. after having stayed at the montage for a number of years, we moved over to Stein eriksen mainly because we loved their location mid-mountain as well as the true ski Lodge feel.
Everything about this resort is luxurious and well-appointed. The food and service are excellent. staff is kind and attentive to all of the guests needs.the guys in the ski area who put you in and out of your boots and get your skis on the mountain are so helpful and professional.
when you stay here literally all you have to do is get yourself dressed and everything else is taken care of in the most amazing way. They're scared buffet breakfast is so fantastic that you basically don't have to eat the rest of the day!
at the stage haven't stayed in many ski towns and many ski resorts I would not say anywhere else. Nothing can top Stein eriksen!

We spent 3 nights over the holidays at this wonderful property and loved everything about it...the staff were wonderful...always responsive and eager to help. It is a large property so carefully select where you want to stay. We were put in a room that was quite a walk from the main lodge and in the cold, snowy weather we preferred to be in the lodge so fortunately they were able to move us. But, if you prefer being off in a quieter area than you have lots of options. The hotel was decorated for the holidays so it added to our experience but I would return to this hotel any time of the year and know we would love it just as much. The location is ideal and there is a shuttle that takes you into town that runs frequently so you don't need to rent a car. And, the ski slope is accessed right from the hotel. I could not recommend this property more.

Overall a great experience. You can’t beat the location, but the customer service situation at the restaurant is lacking.
Stein Eriksen—unlike the Montage—opens its restaurant for lunch and Apres to non-hotel guests. The result is that hotel guests either can’t eat or drink at the restaurant during a ski day without a reservation or need to wait very long to do so. My husband and I—who had a room—tried to get lunch here Saturday and then a drink here after skiing Sunday. Each time, the hostess made us wait in a 30-60 minute line indoor with dozens of people, which felt very unsafe due to COVID.
While we like the rooms, location, and amenities, this situation was not acceptable for people paying $1,000 - $3,000 a night. Many other guests were complaining as well. The hotel should reserve tables/fire pits for hotel guests.

During these anxiety producing Covid travel times … this hotel showed us they are committed to doing everything to protect our health and safety from spotless cleaning in our room, to constant cleaning of public areas and doors, of course restaurant spacing and sanitizing as well as continued sanitizing of the complimentary shuttle service. They provided us with a personalized Stein kit that included masks, sanitizer, hands free door opener and more upon check in. Bottled water was available and offered continually by the extraordinary staff. I must particularly commend the outstanding service, kindness and constant care from Scott Maxwell, Justin Phillips and Katrin Dumadag. These members of the staff excelled and deserve the highest recognition. These specific employees anticipated our needs and was right there for us.The hotel staff we encountered offered us genuine hospitality to ensure we received a luxury and personalized experience. The staff offered us impeccable service unmatched in other world class resorts.Stein Eriksen Lodge high standards sets them apart. We had an amazing stay. Our accommodations were outstanding. Our room had a gas fireplace and private balcony with flat screen tv and of course free wireless internet. Their location of Ski in/out is awesome. The ski valet service is unparalleled anywhere in Deer Valley. This staff anticipates your needs and is right there for you.
I must state again, the staff's top-notch customer service, made us feel like VIP’s. The convenience of their location to Salt Lake City airport is an easy drive to the resort.

We had been to Stein Eriksen years before and we noticed so many changes to the resort. It was much larger with two pools and quite a walk to get to the restaurants.
Our room was near the check in with a good view of the mountain. We had a large bedroom with a fireplace and bath, a large living area with a fireplace, a full kitchen, a dining room, two outside sitting areas, and a hot tub. Robes and slippers were provided and the slippers were set out at each nightly turndown service.
We found the cleaning service each day to happen a little later in the day. We were given several bottles of water and chocolates each day. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were very nice. It was quiet.
The staff that handled our car usage was professional and pleasant. The hotel provided a shuttle serve into Park City by downloading and using an app. We could track where the shuttle was and when it would arrive. The drivers told us about the town, the pick up spots, and reminded us to stay hydrated. We used it frequently since there was not much parking available in town.
Coffee, tea, flavored water, and apples were available in the lobby area. We also had a coffee maker in the room.
With that being said, I would hope that some attention be paid to the outdoor seating areas. Each of ours hand quite a lot of bird droppings on the floor and on the railings. We wanted to enjoy a glass of champagne at the table but the sight of the debris was not conducive to that.
If you are prone to allergies, you might want to pack something for that. I rarely have a problem with congestion but the cottonwood in the air made me quite uncomfortable.

My family and I had an amazing lunch at the Stein on their outdoor terrace. The Alpenglobe is fully sanitized between visits and it’s just your own self-contained group, with heaters to keep it toasty warm inside. The views of the snowy mountains and the skiers are spectacular. Service could not have been better ... they treated my 7-yr-old grandson like a prince, and drinks and apps were served quickly, and lunch was hot and delicious. Definitely recommend the crab toast appetizer, the burger, and the salmon cassoulet which was so delicious and healthy. It’s pricey but we all felt so taken care of ... it was a special lunch that lived up to our expectations.

We stayed at the Stein Erickson Lodge for three weeks while helping my mother in assisted living. The level of warmth, professionalism, and commitment to service were so welcome, especially during Covid19, when we are aware of how many more protocols are in place to assure safety for everyone on the property. Everyone was masked, the cleaning guidelines are the highest available, and the General Manager frequently checked in on us. We will be back again and again.

We stayed here in October for two days and it was wonderful. The room was huge with a Jacuzzi on our own private balcony with great views of the ski area and mountains. The staff was great, especially the concierge. She showed us all sorts of hiking trails and gave us great advice about which ones were difficult and which ones easy. You can just walk out of the resort right onto the ski area and start hiking. The bathroom was large, the room was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with a frig bigger than the one in my own house. There was nothing about the room or the staff that was a problem, though we did have some issues with the restaurant within the resort. The two little stores in the resort were very nice though a bit pricey. The one shop with all the glasses and flatware and such had a rather snobby employee. I bought over $100.00 in goods from them and she acted like it was a bother that I was buying items from her. Then she packed the shot glass I bought in with one of the cups and didn't bother telling me so that when I opened up the box, the shot glass fell out and broke. Real nice. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time here. The pool is very nice as are the two hot tubs. Highly recommended.

There is a run at DVR and at PCMR, separated by a few yards - close enough whereby you could cross one ski run to the other. It would require ducking under a rope. This action would not be approved be either ski resort.
I have no idea seeing that I don't smoke. I would assume that you can walk out to the ski area and smoke there.
Yes, Most definitely! The skiing is great here in the winter, some of the best powder around. They have horse sled rides and snow-shoeing. You can get a room that has a private hot tub on your balcony. There are many good restaurants within walking distance of the resort including two on site. If you ski, this would be a great place for an anniversary
alas, they are BOTH elegant--so it will be difficult to decide. Stein's is mid mountain at Deer Valley so if you plan on skiing on that side of the mountain (one of best resorts in the USA--I have been skiing there since it opened) it is very convenient. Montage is atop Empire pass further down the mountain.
