I've just come back from a week at Newpark Hotel and lots of people have said very nice things about this hotel / resort. I agree with the vast majority of them. Here are my additions.

Location is key here. There are a dozen restaurants within easy walking distance with a range from cheap breakfast through dining with tablecloths. Between this and super easy access to the Park City bus network you don't actually need transportation if you are staying within the area. However parking is ample and free.

We had a standard room, which with hindsight I regret. The hotel rooms are laid out such that interconnecting doors can be opened to make suites. A 'Standard' room is the smallest subset of that combination. This isn't a complaint, just an observation. The doors between the rooms are anything but soundproof. After the first two nights a baby was installed in the room next door and caterwauled through the night. Reception kindly relocated us to another room which was exactly the same setup, but with less screaming.

Based upon my experienced sample size of two, the standard room has:

A queen bed with a somewhat hard mattress.
A gas fireplace.
A leather couch that squeaks when you move on it.
A 42 inch LG television
A small 'kitchen' area containing a fridge, sink, cups, plates etc. But nothing to cook with.

Everything was well presented and a little cramped but comfortable. Since the standard room is slightly cramped, if you are there to ski, check with the desk. There is a locker area downstairs with metal lockers for ski gear and easy access outside.

Access to the excellent free Park City bus network is right outside the door to the locker room, literally 20 steps. Clump outside in your gear and flop onto the bus. Easy.

Many reviews wax lyrical about the joys of personal hot tubs and balconies. I'm fully prepared to believe that those things are available and wonderful. As I said, I regret my room choice, but not the location. The hotel itself is excellent, the staff first rate, and the location brilliant. It will be my future base for all trips into the area.

The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. We got a room with a private hot tub, which was excellent! We also got a chance to swim in the pool while we were there, which is great when it got hot outside. Steam room and sauna were also excellent. The room is very spacious and had we stayed longer we would have made use of the included washer and dryer. Kitchenette was also great to have during our stay. We did not hear any adjacent rooms which was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next stay here!

We had a very pleasant stay at Newpark. Conveniently located around 15 min drive from Main Street and close to many restaurants and shops this was the perfect place to stay for our budget (considering everything in Park City proper had exorbitant prices).
The check-In process was quick and easy, we found our room easily. Our room had a queen bed, the room was fairly small but had a small kitchenette, couch and fireplace. We had a very small window with no view but that’s fine.
The bathroom was almost as big as the room with a large tub.
The room was clean and came with all amenities including Kuerig coffee maker and fridge.
We made good use of the facilities and enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and warm swimming pool. There was also a sauna and well equipped gym.
All in all a great stay and good value.
For those driving parking is free.

Don’t get me wrong. The hotel is very nice, the staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The deep tub for 2 is awesome. The heated floor in the bathroom is great and the hot tub on the deck was excellent. However, there are several small things that could make this Hotel so much better.
1. There is no valet. This is important because the last thing I want to do in the middle of a snow storm is go find a parking spot and trudge back to the hotel through the wet snow.
2. Outside on the ground level below all the rooms are several restaurants and shops. Some of these play music late into the night and these kind of shops attract a lot of noisy teenagers who literally yell and scream late into the night. This makes relaxing in the hot tub difficult.
3. The divider wall on the decks between all the hot tubs is 3-4 feet tall, so if your neighbors are in their hot tub then you are about 1 foot away from them. Definitely a lack of privacy.
4. DVD players do not come installed in the rooms. You have to reserve one, then lay on the floor to fish around for AV wires under the fireplace only to discover that there are none. Then have the front desk tell you “well they they should be there”.
5. The TV sizes in the rooms is embarrassing. The biggest TV in our living room was 24”-32”. The TV in the bedroom was only about 18”
6. The phone system doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. You press the front desk option and it’s just a busy signal, all the time. Asked at the front desk about it and they said “Oh, some of our phones aren’t hooked up right so you just have to press “0”. Thanks for the heads up.
7. Internet and TV kept dropping out. They need a better provider.
If these few things were remedied, this stay would have been 5 stars. This hotel has the potential to be so good, but I think next time we’ll spend the extra money and stay at the Stein Erickson Lodge again.

We were in Room 308A, which is a one-bedroom suite, and had a truly delightful stay. The bed was comfortable, the room massive, and you can’t beat enjoying a steaming outdoor hot tub on your balcony overlooking beautiful ski slopes while you watch TV. Also, in the same building as the hotel is a restaurant with the best 20” NY style pizza for pick up or dine-in. And the hotel has a sweet, well-heated pool that’s both indoors and outdoors (next to a big outdoor hot tub of course). But as great as all these amenities were, the real reason I’m writing this review (which I rarely bother to do) is because of the hotel’s impeccable service, including all staff but especially the Front Office Supervisor, Emily. We’ll never stay anywhere else while skiing and visiting Park City again, because you can’t beat this place without blowing $600 per night, and even then, I’m not too sure.

I splurged on a special weekend here 1/17-1/19/2020 as I proposed to my now fiancée. I got the luxury suite on a recommendation from a friend and it was amazing! The room itself is huge with its own fireplace, hot tub on the balcony, and a bathtub big enough for 2 adults to fit in comfortably. I was able to work via email, phone call, and text with Melinda and Emily at Newpark who were able to help me make the stay extra special for my fiancée. They went the extra mile by setting up flower petals, champagne, a hand-written personalized note, and some other things in the room when we went out to dinner so that it was a special surprise when we returned and set the mood for popping the question!
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the facility and the service and I will definitely be staying here again!

Wow words cannot even describe my experience staying at the Newpark Resort last night with my wife and 19 month old little baby! We booked the standard queen room for the night and to our amazing surprise upon check-in we’re upgraded to an absolutely beautiful top floor corner hot tub suite! The pictures of the property do not do it justice as in person the room are more beautiful than a picture could ever depict!… however nice the property,, the night wouldn’t have been the same with Emily and Jenna at the front desk! They went above and beyond to make sure not only did they upgrade us to a suite, leave a really cute note on the bed in the room, anndddd locally made caramels just as another special touch,,, but they also made sure to put us in a room away from others as having a little one who makes quite a bit of noise lol. The hot tub on the balcony was amazing! And to our surprise even though it’s summer my wife especially appreciated the heated floors in the bathroom! If you’re looking for a resort that has it all and more.. look no further Newpark Resort is the place to go! Thank you again to Emily and her staff for making our anniversary that much more special!

We loved our room the view was amazing and it was very clean. It was our anniversary and they left a cute note with sparkling cider and chocolate. The staff was nice and helpful we absolutely loved the candy shop. The pillows were very fluffy and the shampoo and body products smelt wonderful. We can’t wait to come back another time there were plenty of amazing restaurants within walking distance I highly recommend maxwells for a chill easy going affordable environment with great service.

This was our second time staying here on the 4th floor(first time was comp’d bc of electrical issues w/hot tub), and I can definitely say it was worth it! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and just the right size for two people. The bed was fairly comfortable and we really enjoyed using the robes provided in the bathroom, while we were there. It had a kitchen set up, with fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave, sink, and dishes. The gas fireplace was an extra special touch too. Great place!

Yep some do all depends on who you're renting from... our ondo was small ! we had to go to the laundry room to do our laundry but it was within the hotel /facility

I suggest that you call the hotel directly. Not sure how you booked your reservation, but working directly with the property is typically best. And as a representative of the property, I can assure you that advance arrangement is far better that arriving with the hope of a change. Especially in March when peak winter demand exists. And even if there is a nominal upgrade fee, which there almost always is, the Suites are far superior to the standard rooms as countless reviewers have mentioned. And with a vacation better to get the details right. Feel free to call 435-649-3600 and even ask for me. Happy to help if I can.
