We made a short weekend trip to MountainSide for a getaway. It was our first stay here, AMAZING staff and we felt very safe being there during a pandemic. Everyone had masks, sanitizer everywhere including extra sanitizing wipes in the room. The pool is limited to 90 minutes per family per day which was not a problem for us, they even spray down the pool area every time a guest leaves. It was a bummer that the hot tubs were closed but we do understand that those would be harder to monitor. Brad went out of his way to make our little boy feel so special and let him look in the special activity closet. We ordered the build a bear activity and candy sushi activity, both were super cute and fun for our kiddo. Thank you Marriot MountainSide! We will be back!

Good hotel with good service! My boyfriend and I had a great stay here in a one bedroom villa over 5 nights. The villa was newer, well-equipped with a full kitchen, dining/living room and full bathroom with large tub and washer/dryer (which came in handy!). The only downside was that the housekeeping was only allowed for one time at the end of a 7 day stay due to covid (which is fairly standard). Also, another drawback was that the hot tubs were only for 30 minute reservations. But all in all, a good stay at a hotel that I’d recommend!

We stayed here on the tail end of our visit to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national park. We loved our room, it was a 2 bedroom with full kitchen. We always request the top floor and the resort honored our request. We had a vaulted living room and a really nice view of pool and ski lift. Location is great for skiing, and is a reasonable walk to the Main St area of Park City. Marriott Summit Watch is right in the Main area with a fabulous location near the Park Silly market (which we enjoyed the weekend before our long haul to the parks began). Overall, I liked this resort. They do a great job. Parking is a slight issue. But it worked out.

This hotel has the potential to be a no brainer place to stay. The staff are super prompt and friendly. Kay at the front desk will make it happen. But, the hotel itself really needs to fix these things to make it a comfortable, clean, and convenient place for guests:

1) Just make coffee available for guest in the lobby in the mornings. They give rooms a coffee maker with Folgers coffee, I could not figure out how to make the coffee, and the coffee shop nearest to the hotel does not open till 8am. The Jupiter Java website says 7:30am but it's not true. It's 8am. (And this can't be a pandemic thing, they still offer happy hour, which I'd easily give up for a cup of coffee).

2) Marriott needs to amp the cleaning frequency around the grounds. Clean the doors / windows / front lobby carpets. We are in the middle of a pandemic, hopefully one ending soon. But when I woke up this AM to go get coffee (bc nothing available at the hotel) the door and glass windows by the pool entrance were full of hand prints, some of them likely from my own five year olds yesterday, but these should be clean straight out of the gate in the mornings. And throughout the day. The room itself was super clean and the housekeeping is prompt with towels and picking up trash out the doors.

3) Late Checkout policy. Checkout is 10am, if you request a late checkout they give you till 11am. That's normal checkout time for most hotels. They claim it's not a hotel, but a vacation club. Ok. Whatever. And, check in is not till 4pm. You can request an early check in but most likely not going to get anything before 3pm. So, what are they doing between 11am and 3pm?

4) Food. No restaurant in the hotel, nothing. You need to order Whole Foods delivery if you want a chance or even eating an apple on your trip. The places to eat next to the hotel, don't have vegetables. And there is not grocery store in the area. So you need to either order food or eat at Baja Cantina everyday.

Hi, thank you for your review of your recent stay at Marriott's Mountainside. We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us overall. As the front desk stated we are a vacation ownership location and as a result do not offer the same amenities the hotels offer, this includes early check-ins and late checkouts. While we would love to always honor all requests, it does depend on availability during your time with us. We will share your feedback about cleaning public areas with our site leaders. We do appreciate your patronage and hope to welcome you back.

This is my second stay at this Marriott. I wouldn't have booked it again, but my wife did on our trip back home. While the staff is attentive, the property is clearly understaffed for the volume. Arriving at 4pm there were no towels at the pool and when we ask a hotel employee they said "there 'might' be some at the front desk" and then walked off. Tap water in the room tasted funky. Finding no dining on site and surprised to learn most everything closed by 9pm we managed to find a place down the road that stayed open until 10pm.

Upon return there was no parking underground. A parking attendant directed us to overflow parking a few blocks from the hotel. The interior smelled musty and the rooms were dated. Mind you all for $320+ a night. I can rent an entire house for less and will next time. Stay away form this place unless your idea of fun is a hotel packed full of coughing families with no bar, no restaurant, and no parking. I have given up on luxury resorts, they are a dying breed who are just trying to make up loss revenue dollars by cutting services and charging ridiculous prices.

We love Marriott properties, but this one was not up to our expectations. We had a studio, which felt much smaller than the studios at other resorts. Our view was the side of a hill and that probably contributed to it feeling smaller. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the couch was very uncomfortable. Most likely due to it being a sofa sleeper. The TV kept digitizing on local channels. Thankfully it was a smart TV so we could connect to the internet to watch Netflix, etc.

The staff was very friendly. We observed constant cleaning of the elevators and pool area. We felt very safe in this COVID era. There was only 1 restaurant opened within walking distance. That meant we had to drive to eat. Parking is at a premium in the downtown area. We were able to park in the Marriott Summit parking garage at a rate much cheaper than the city garage. We had a good trip, but wished our room was bigger and more comfortable.

If we return, we will check out the Marriott Summit next time. We will not return to the Mountainside.

Very nice hotel. Stayed in the two bedroom villa. Great space for our family. Room had a full kitchen. Beds comfortable. This location of the hotel with the ski in ski out is fantastic (next to the Pay Day lift). Also two restaurants right outside the hotel- Baja Cantina Restaurant has great food, affordable, and is casual. The jacuzzi was by reservation due to covid but we had no problems getting a reservation (24 hrs ahead of time). Parking is great with an underground parking garage which is wonderful when it is snowing. Skiing was great of course. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Worth paying a little more for convenience and the great location.

We stayed a week at this property and it was not like the past now with COVID. The check in is easy and safe and they have plenty of hand sanitizer all of the property. The room was great like always. They wrapped the remotes in plastic and let you know that it was sanitized. They take reservations for the hot tubs with COVID so place your time first. Most of the activities are shut down but they said they were working on opening them back up soon.

My family recently stayed in the 2bdr villa for a week for Spring Break. The rooms were clean & exactly as described on the hotel's website. The full kitchen was a plus & we cooked breakfast every day during our stay as well as some lunches & dinners. There is also a washer & dryer which was a tremendous bonus for a family of 7.

This was our first visit to Park City and we had ski lessons at Park City Mountain. I didn't realize how close it was when I booked our stay, but staying here was perfect because we were able to pick up our ski equipment from the ski valet and literally walk out the back door and were right at the entrance to skiing. Although it is April, the weather was great for us first timers and it even snowed on the day of our lessons making the experience perfect.

My kids loved the pool tables & smoothies from the Cafe. The staff all around the resort was super nice. You can also tell they put a lot of effort into keeping everything clean, the hallways and public areas smelled clean and were never dirty. The entire stay the hallways smelled like the carpets had been recently cleaned/deodorized. The parking garage was heated which we really appreciated.

The kids really enjoyed the heated pool as well, and it was cool to be able to swim and watch people on the slopes at the same time. We got in the car and did a lot of sightseeing, but they also have quite a few daily activities you can participate in on site.

The location is also a very short drive to the other side of Park City Mountain called Canyon Village. We were able to ride the gondola up the mountain over there and grab lunch which was fun. We drove around Park City which was beautiful. Park City is only about 40 minutes from SLC and we drove around downtown SLC, met up with some friends that live in the area, and drove to the Great Salt Lake.

Overall, staying at Marriott's MountainSide was perfect for my family, the rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained. Again, I'm big on the rooms looking as advertised when I arrive, and Marriott's MountainSide met & exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it for your stay in Park City.

’m a Marriott Bonvoy Gold elite member and and I’ve just purchased their vacation ownership package which I’m going to cancel immediately because of the treatment I received from a young lady at the front desk (you know who you are), as well as another employee with whom I spoke months ago on the phone.

As a Marriott Bonvoy member I’m supposed to receive few perks such as a couple of water bottles at check in, an upgrade if possible, late check outs etc. When I had checked in I asked for some water and one of the guys told me to grab few bottles from their fridge which I did.

Apparently the young lady at the desk had charged me for it and when I asked about the charge she just told me that I basically had to pay for it and that Marriott doesn’t honor their written promise rewards for their members.

Another, and even bigger problem is that I had purchased their encore package as well as additional 3 days at the same hotel, which they basically split into 2 different reservations. About 4 months before my trip I had contacted their hotel and I asked the person at the desk to combine my reservations and to keep me in the same room. He said that it would be done and that was it.

When I checked in I found out that they would actually have me switch rooms in the middle of my stay, and basically make me room-less for 6-7 hrs in the MIDDLE OF MY VACATION because the type of room I had purchased through Marriott Vacation club is different from the one I got through my Bonvoy account.

This was so disappointing and I will never stay here again and the ownership package I purchased will be cancelled because of those two people and how they treated me. Marriott, you’ve lost tens of thousands of dollars over 9$ water bottles as well as incompetence and unfriendliness of your front desk staff.

Pool is open. Limited hours. 90 minutes per guest. You are timed. No cleaning service. It took 3 calls and 8. Hrs to get towels and toilet paper. Masks required. No business service. No restaurant on property. Most retail by hotel was closed. In town Restaurants were open with limited seating. It seemed very locked down in Park City. It was very normal on the river for floating, etc. Also other parts of Utah were more normal. The Marriott were mask nazis yet we saw no cleaning done on surfaces, elevators, cards.... garbage was stacked up in hall. totally bad experience. It was a trade. We would not return.
