We had an amazing stay at Sundial Lodge, remembering working in the area about 20 years ago and being our dream to stay in a brand new hotel back in the days. The vibrant atmosphere and the friendly staff made our stay memorable. Thank you!

My family (husband and two teenage kids) stayed here for a week over the New Year's holiday. We stayed in penthouse studio condo #510B (booked it through a condo booking site). I will start by saying that the condo is more spacious than it looks in the photos. There was plenty of room for all of us (and luggage) and everything is well designed and organized in order to maximize the space. The high ceilings also made the space feel large. We loved the fact that the condo was updated with a nice kitchen (well stocked)/laundry area, clean bathroom with plenty of storage/hooks/mirrors and updated furniture.
The Sundial Lodge is conveniently located within Canyons Village and we had a very easy walk to both the Red Pine Gondola and the Orange Bubble Chairlift for four days of skiing. Also, it is a quick and easy walk to the Cabriolet, which will bring you down to the bus stop, for heading into downtown Park City or to the base of Park City Mountain (the bus is extremely convenient, efficient, clean and FREE). In my opinion, the Sundial has the best location in Canyons Village.
The ski valet and boot room was well organized and a great spot to get ready and end the day on the mountain. The guys who work in there are extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, we discovered that we left one of our bags (with our ski boots) at the airport in Salt Lake City. One of the guys (Shane) overheard us and immediately offered to drive my husband to the airport to retrieve it. How impressive and kind is that?! That gesture set the tone for our entire vacation and everyone we encountered at the Sundial could not have been more helpful.
I would definitely recommend this condo and we would love to stay here again!

This is the second time we've stayed at this lodge.
The best thing about this place is hands down the location. Right at the base of Canyon village and 1 min walk to the gondola. Easy access to restaurants, shops and the slopes. They have a ski valet on the bottom floor in the lobby where you check your gear in and out.
It was better than the first time!
We stayed in the C building (across from the lobby). For two adults and two children, we usually get a one bedroom and this time, the room was a lot larger than last year which was a bonus. I also love the shared (between two units) laundry and that soap and dryer sheets were provided. New soap dispensers - instead of small hotel sized soaps, they now do large dispensers. Not as sanitary, but at least we didn't have to keep asking for soap.
I love the full kitchen and appreciate that the staff keep it stocked with a brand new soap, sponge and most of the utensils you need. Like a knife set (dulled from multiple use), variety of pots and pans, spatulas, etc.
Staff were always very responsive and very pleasant
First time I've used the gym and it was adequate with weights and two treadmills, a rower, bicycle, bands, three sizes of stability balls, two rollers, two mats, a bathroom, tv, kettle bells. Small space but pretty nicely equipped. Bring your own water bottle for a fill up (they have a dispenser).
This place would only be better if they:
1. offered pick up from Salt Lake City airport
2. had a covered or inside heated pool - our friends were staying at the Westlake and while their layout was awful and their room minuscule, the pool area was awesome!

Dear Rx-art, It sounds like you ran into some frustrating issues regarding your reservation. Unfortunately, there was a failure to communicate important details about your stay, and we did not receive the information necessary to smoothly accommodate your stay. There are a lot of potential reasons that your booking wasn't correctly passed along, but the specifics aren't important. What matters is that you had a difficult time. We are sorry that you had such a hard time, and wish we could have done more for you at the time. Our staff did everything possible to accommodate your needs once they were made aware of your problem, but we know that it was hardly the ideal experience we attempt to provide to each of our guests. To avoid the possibility of a similar failure in the future, we invite you to book your next reservation directly through All Seasons Resort Lodging. We provide a suite of direct booking benefits—including our Lowest Rate Guarantee and True Blue Perks program—that will help you get the most out of your stay. Again, we're sorry that you had such a frustrating experience with your booking, but we hope to see you again in the future under better circumstances. Sincerely, Sundial Lodge at Canyons Village

First, the Sundial Lodge has perhaps, the best location in the entire Canyons village. Just 25 yards from the gondola and another 50 yards from the orange bubble lift, the hotel is very convenient for getting on and off the mountain in seconds. If you have children that like to go off on their own, parents can feel very comfortable knowing that their children can spend time with their friends in a safe and all encompassing environment. Additionally, now that the base of the Canyons is undergoing massive development, there are ample restaurants and attractions just steps from the hotel.
In terms of service and comfort, the hotel is really very good and just shy of perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful and the suites have full kitchens, including a dishwasher and a stackable washer/dryer unit. Although I did not use the pool and/or the hot tub, they do exist. If not for the fact that the bathrooms in the suites are a little small and lacking cabinet space and the suite I was in lacked sufficient closet space, I would have given this property an excellent rating. Fortunately, I only needed the suite for 2 nights while i was waiting for my house to be ready, but if I needed it for a longer stay or had anyone else with me, it would have definitely been a little difficult to unpack all the clothes and ski gear needed for the average ski vacation. Other than that, the hotel was really ideal and again, I cannot stress how perfect the location is!!!
By the way, the gas fireplace was awesome and even better was the fact that in the studios, you can rest with the fireplace running in the same space.
If you are coming to the Canyons Village, the Sundial Lodge is really the perfect place to stay, barring the slightly inconvenient issues with the bathroom and closets mentioned above.

+1
Manager Jeff very kindly upgraded me to a 1BR room with a Forum view, after Trent (front desk staff) brought it up to him. That made for an exceptional first time experience with the Sundial Lodge. It makes me feel that Management values the experience of their customer above economic considerations and will do what they can to achieve that. The valet/ski lounge team (Walter, Ignacio and others) who unloaded my luggage from the car and brought it to the room were extremely friendly and helpful. (Note: This is no longer a service available at many hotels so to have this help is extremely appreciated especially with ski baggage.) The Sundial Ski Lounge enables us to store our skis and boots immediately upon return to the hotel and to put them on just before we step out from the hotel. The Sundial hotel is a less than 5 mixtures walk to the Red Pine Gondola which makes it practically ski-in / ski-out convenient. There is an underground secured carpark provided. The apartment I was in B410B was part of a 2 BR set up. There is a full range of kitchen appliances, utensils, cookware, crockery and cutlery which are all very new. Access to washer & dryer in apartment is a huge advantage - albeit they are shared with the next door apartment which makes up the 2 BR unit. All in everything about this experience was great, and the people made the largest difference to the experience. Will definitely be a top choice any time I come back to Park City.

We love this place. There is no better location in Canyons. With Covid, there were a few changes. The ski/boot valet became a ski valet (boots are now allowed in the hallway and rooms). The pools and whirlpool were open with distancing- we did not use them. For the first time, we got a 1 BR with loft. My teenagers loved the large hangout space upstairs. It actually felt bigger than a standard 2 BR for living space. My biggest complaint was that the front desk was not staffed on a Thursday night of a holiday weekend, so we had to drive down the street to another hotel for check in. Very unreasonable given the price of these units! We’ll be back again, hopefully with a more “normal” experience!

Park City has three main areas, Canyon Village is the most affordable and is very family friendly. We were there with grandkids to ski. Our room had two bedrooms, two baths, family room/kitchen. While there is a free shuttle between the different areas, we spend most of our time in the Canyon Village area and on its ski slopes. The mid mountain area has a great beginners slope, magic carpet area for the very young skiers, and some great blue runs. If you want more black diamond skiing, can traverse over the the middle mountain easily on the runs.

I really enjoyed this place. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews where they received only one star. Honestly not sure what there is to complain about this place. The location is great. You literally walk out the front door and the gondola is less than 50 yds away. They hold your skis and boots and even warm them in their lounge. The room size was huge. I like the fact that since it is condo style they don’t clean daily. We don’t care for this anyway so for us this is perfect. I would undoubtedly stay here again in the future.

I booked for a month in a large one bedroom. The room was fine, but the moment I stepped in I noticed a bad odor. They said it just needed to be aired out and air filters changed. Well a week later it still stunk and finally maintenance admitted to the smell of oil frying from the nearby restaurant affecting the room. They knew it was a problem and still rented out this unit before fixing it...and for a month! I am still waiting for a resolution for over a week now as there is not a lot of options to change as it gets busy. I stayed previously and had a fine experience in a different room. So the bottom line, be careful when booking because of high levels of inconsistencies in the rooms.

My son and I booked a studio for a weeklong trip to Park City. The proximity to the slopes was so convenient. The room was perfect with a bed and pullout sofa. The kitchen was well appointed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The COVID protocols were very well displayed and unobtrusive. It felt close to normal but still safe at the same time.
Would highly recommend this location for anyone wanting the convenience of ski in/ski out. Really enjoyed the week here.

When we were there, there were tables and chairs around the pool that you could group together if no one else is using them. There were also tables and chairs on the sundeck where the hot tubs are (I think on the 4th floor).
It comes with dishwashing soap, dishwasher, plates, pots, pans, utensils, full refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, full sink, microwave, stove with oven. Hope that helps!
We were there in the summer. There were a lot of families with children but we didn't find it to be noisy. I don't know what it will be like in January.
