Yes.

I've stayed in many Motel 6's over the years (when I can't get my usual hotel chains and want a cheap alternative) .. and this one is at the bottom of the list. Check in was nice.. young man at counter was helpful with a few questions I had about the area.

Room:
-Carpet was old and nasty...ok, downright gross, really.
-AC/heater unit was falling apart off the wall, although it still worked.
-I took 2 showers(one at night and one in the morning)... both times it honestly took at least 5 minutes to get hot water.
-Shower head/arm was installed backwards so that you almost had to stand OUTSIDE the shower to get under the spray.
-sink was clogged up
-Bed was firm, but not terrible... but also not up to par with most other Motel 6's I've stayed at in the last few years.

Noise: Had a guy that sounded like he was tripping out above me. Probably til 5 AM.. thankfully, I had earplugs, and ran the fan all night.. but whenever woke up I heard him making really weird noises and pacing the floor.

I'm glad I only paid $35 a night (that's the only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1), but I will never stay here again... and I honestly don't recommend anyone else stay here. I'm really glad my wife wasn't with me. It was the first time (as an adult male) I have really not felt safe at a motel... I almost considered leaving at 3AM.

This place should be shut down.

Staying at Motel 6 is usually for just a nights sleep while on the road. Nothing special is expected but a good, clean place to sleep. This Motel 6 in Ogden had entrance doors that would not unlock forcing guests to walk around the building. They asked for a deposit on the room key which was no more than the usual plastic card, I have never been asked for a deposit on a card that they appear to buy the box. The carpets did not appear clean and gave the appearance of maintenance not doing their job. The room was clean and comfortable but the sleep was marred by excessive noise from the upstairs guest and a dog next door that howled late into the night. One guest was sitting in their window hanging out into the parking lot giving the impression of the Joad family moving to California during the Depression. It was not an enjoyable stay and makes me wonder if I should use Motel 6 for my road trips.

This place is a real bargain. I paid $45 for a Friday night stay for an on the spur of the moment stay. However, this place is no Ritz-Carlton. The interior of the hotel is shabby, particularly the carpeting and the area around the motel appeared dicey (with signs all over the motel reminding you to lock your car). The room itself had an over powering scent of anticeptic (it was a smoking room) but otherwise, the room was fairly clean. The bed was actually one of the more comfortable I've slept in a while. The TV was dated and there was no alarm clock in the room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice.

You can hear everything in your neighbor's room. Unfortunately I had a loud group next to me that periodically woke me up. Luckily the air conditioner was able to drown most of their noise out.

Overall, you could certainly do worse, but if you need a room on the cheap, this place is certainly acceptable - just keep your expectations in check.

We book Motel 6’s when doing the snowbird drive because they accept dogs with no hassle. We arrived with our SUV packed full of our possessions with a motorcycle trailer in tow.

We booked online and didn’t realize the specific location. It is downtown Ogden. Lots of homeless about, including several skeezy looking people sitting in and hanging around the Motel 6 parking lot.

The hotel is old and rundown, with junk lying around outside next to the building and parking lot.

Not wanting to risk a vehicle break-in given all of our possessions in the car, not to mention exposed motorcycle trailer, before checking in I asked the clerk if we could move our reservation to the Motel 6 on the I-15. The answer was no, you need to call Hotels.com to make any changes. I tried that, but no dice. So we sucked up the $95 dollar charge as a loss and went to the Motel 6 on the I-15 where the hotel was perfectly nice and zero skeezy people hanging around.

I made a reservation for my wife our 3 year old and myself, and when I arrived for check in I was told there was a “refundable” $50 incident deposit on top of the price I paid for the room. That was not specified anywhere in the reservation for the room. Not only that but the 2 times I visited the front desk for check in and check out the lady behind the desk just stared at me without saying anything. Not very friendly at all. The room itself was filthy. There was sticky stains all over one wall and most of the stuff in the room was dirty or damaged. Which is I’m sure why I didn’t get back my “refundable” deposit, because the room was a wreck before we even got there. Feels like a bait and switch if you ask me. I will not stay at this motel again, and will tell as many people as I can to steer clear of this little dump.

This is probably thee worst motel I have ever stayed at in my life!! The housekeepers are nice, but past that there is nothing to offer at this fleabag motel... stayed there for an extended stay due to circumstances out of my control. The place has COCKROACHES!! I was so upset that I came back to the room to find a cockroach in the bathroom. I brought it to the attention of the housekeeper who insinuated that I brought them?! Once she accused me of bringing roaches the manager Michelle came to my room and not only screamed at me, she swore at me, called me names and told me I had to leave or she was calling the police!! i would rather sleep in a car than stay there again. No wonder this place has such a great reputation...

We needed a hotel to rest our heads on a long road trip and chose this one because it was cheap. We should have paid a little more for a safe hotel. If you don’t plan on sleeping, then stay at this motel. It smells like a smoky bar, I left with our coats and clothes smelling like smoke. The bed linens had lots of stains, first time I have experienced that in a budget hotel. And the worst part was the stumbling shady guys all around the parking lot, and then the loud people staying in the hotel, coming & going ALL night with paper thin walls. They all finally got quiet around 5 or 6am when we were getting up to get back on the road. I didn’t sleep at all, worried I’d hear gunshots any moment with all the yelling and swearing and doors slamming and people in the hallway all night long. We had our 2 little boys along too, so horrible. Do not stay there unless you plan on staying up all night, doing drugs there, or meeting a prostitute.

Horrible. My daughter left her reading glasses in the room and called as soon as she realized she had left them. They assured her that they were there and that they would get them in the mail to her. After a couple of weeks of them not showing up my daughter called and has gotten the run around every since. Now that I am trying to help her they don't answer the phone or when they do the manager is NEVER there to take your call. Sketchy bad business practice. Would not recommend this place. Ever.
