Great cozy houses. Big space inside and a little terrace with chairs to watch the vast and beautiful scenery with great views of mountains surrounding and the sunset in my casita (number 10). Beautiful and well decorated patio in front of a group of 4 casitas . Machine with

I had the opportunity to visit Terlingua/Big Bend for the second time, and the Big Bend Casitas far exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I experienced some poor customer service last year from a staff member, but the owner graciously reached out to me and invited me back

We really enjoyed our stay at this casita. The place was so comfortable for our family of four and the space was nicely laid out. I was very happy with the cleanliness in the entire casita. It was nice to have a kitchen and the grills outside were very useful. Porch had a nice

We really enjoyed our stay, we had #12 with views to the mountains and desert. Loved the room, clean and comfortable. Do wish they had offered rooms with king bed rather than two queens. Great shower and bathroom and good kitchenette with microwave, would have liked a ring to

A friend and myself spent 2 nights in cabin 10. Excellent accommodations considering the remote location, albeit very convenient to Big Bend National to the East and Big Bend Ranch State park to the West. Good cell service and Wifi. The cabin had a rustic cabin decor but

Great Casita and Wonderful Hospitality! Stayed in early August and had a wonderful time. Clean

What’s your definition of “nice?” With an open mind yes; however, the Casitas aren’t the Ritz. They are larger than a big city hotel room (Chicago, San Fran, NYC). I don’t know if they have various sizes, but the 1 room 2 beds was plenty spacey for the four of us. I’ll tell you that in the area, by far it’s the nicest, most up to date places to stay. Very clean, and that’s hard to do with all the dust flying around. Great little coffee/pastry shop on premises for breakfast. Staff is exceptionally, authentically kind and service oriented. Call and inquiry regarding 3 bed. Have a safe trip!

Ummm. I think you'd best call the motel for this question.

How many miles from Casitas to Chisos Lodge in the Basin?
I'm not certain about miles, but it took us about 45 minutes to drive from the Casitas in Terlingua to the Chisos Lodge in the National Park. The road is very well-maintained, paved all of the way and divided. There was very little traffic on the road when we were there.

"Try not to get cabins 1, 2, or 3 as these are close to the highway. Make your reservations months in advance and request 6 - 12."
"You cannot reserve a specific cottage; they are assigned as available"
"Casitas 10-12 have the best views."
"Can't pick room:) Maybe if you get there early? Would've chosen back cabin so lights didn't interfere w/ telescope."
"Get a casita numbered 8 or higher."
