We stayed at abora for 11 nights as a family. My boys loved the whole pool area and play grounds, game arcades and we all loved the fantastic food a lot. Special thanks to marco and katia from animation team. Thanks to marco, my boys learned to play ping pong and darts very well. The whole crew does a great job. All activities are outdoors in the fantastic sea air and it really "hurts" me to see that the animation team who must talk(!) a lot, must always wear a mask & the poor life guards by the pool and slides too! I makes NO sense as there is the best of sea air and they must wear full coverage masks all day. )-:  Not fair, especially since the tourists like myself, dont need to wear a mask when we are relaxing in the pool or on our sun beds and when we are simply sitting on a chair with a drink. The poor life guards who are here for our "safety" are sitting all day and MUST wear a full coverage mask outside all day )-:  Its not logical and definitely not fair for them. I really hope, the MANGEMENT will loosen up(!) a bit for their staff's HEALTH & WELLBEING and realises, that the outside garden park and pool area does not require a mask, due to the wonderful FRESH, healthy air. Everyday i felt sorry for the outdoor staff. As my family has asthma, we know how recommended the wonderful sea air is for our/health/ lungs by doctors since many years and how restrictive a face mask is and i am generally anti-mask especially in open spaces like outside! These masks can make you sick if you inhale your own germs all day long, i hope the management realises that for their staff. So if you want to be mask-free, go to the wonderful nearby BEACH, where u can see surfers, open minded people who dont believe in masks like me. And many top less women like myself - natural life style. By the beach, you will totally forget about corona, and the kids love looking at the crabs by the rocks. Thank you abora hotel for a fantastic stay! We enjoyed every day and thank your whole wonderful staff!

I will try to summarize. Staff: 10/10 except for the receptionist when you explain that in the middle of a pandemic 300 people in a restaurant is a risk. Installation: 7/10 everything clean and what I expected. Food: 4/10. this is a big problem in my opinion. I understood that people prefer to eat without salt, but food without flavor has no sense. In whatever case everyday they had something different. Drinks: 5/10. Every drink was prepared in advance and not diversity. Covid measures: 0/10 in the restaurant. They have a scheduled when book your room but later on this is a fake. You can go at whatever time. Problem, 300 at the same time in the restaurant. Everyone without face mask and no ventilation. At the end we had no breakfast Covid measures: 7/10 hotel. Security people checking face mask. Alcohol gel everywhere. But no separation in the swimming pool and the hotel was full or at least 500 guests. I understand that a hotel is a company that make money but you can force the timing in the restaurant, add a CO2 counter to check the ventilation and open every window and door. It’s better to get less money and don’t close the hotel in 2 months. In a non covid pandemic I would give a 3.5 over 5.

I’m definitely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. With my wife we were to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary during our stay here but it was spoiled by the atmosphere in the hotel and unhelpful stuff. Let’s start one by one: 1. Issue wit changing rooms - we got a room close to very noisy people and asked for change (not an upgrade). Lady at the reception was trying to get extra 200€ from us as she claimed they were fully booked (not true looking at the number of guests in the hotel), after insisting couple of times, miraculously they’ve found another room in more quite section (same standard). 2. Parking issues - information provided here is not correct. They don’t have any parking facility! Public parking is always occupied and there is no chance of parking here! If you’re lucky you’ll get a place a kilometer down the road and you’ll have to climb all the way up back to the hotel. I got a puncture while looking for a place for an hour! And on another occasion my car was towed by the police what cost me 200€ - that’s another story how they treat tourists... no signs at all and everyone is parking there, apparently an issue if they spot that you’re not local! When I complained to hotel PR manager looking for some support the lady said that they can’t help me with parking despite having free spots in hotel backyard. Really disappointing. 3. Food rather average - I’ve seen a lot of comments complimenting food here, well apparently a lot has changed with COVID as I find it rather average, and on the lower part of scale tbh. I’ve really seen better in hotels of the same category. 4. COVID atmosphere - if you’re looking for a place to relax and forget about the ongoing situation, well that’s definitely not a place for you. While I appreciate the safety measures taken to make sure we are all safe it is done in really tasteless way and getting in a way of your rest not allowing you to relax in full with this tension in the air. Summarizing, not a hotel that I would recommend to anyone. Staff is not supportive, food rather poor, atmosphere tense due to COVID. Hotel is new and that’s the only positive here, but you won’t be able to enjoy it.
