Detailed Reviews
I have stayed in Salou many times and seen this hotel before so thought I'd give it a try, here is my honest opinion and thoughts.
Room 434, would sleep 4 people but I had solo occupancy at a good and fair price from 8th to 12th Sept.
Arrived about 1230 and room not ready, swift check in and was able to leave my case in the luggage room free of charge. Nice staff and helpful on reception, they were welcoming and always someone of the desk, room available as they told me after 2pm and it was.
Two lifts taking 6 passengers (with no luggage) is nothing like enough for a 4 star hotel of this size.
Room was clean, not spotless, towels had seen better days and were well worn, toiletries provided every day, bed comfy and clean( did get a cockroach visit me in there one night, but nothing to upset me and disposed of it), digital safe provided free of charge, small fridge, probably not enough clothing storage for 4 people, I had a balcony over the road and from speaking to people on the pool side it was a good choice as they struggled to sleep and rest with the entertainment noise on the pool side.
Restaurant is buffet and there was plenty choice and tables, food was usual hotel standard and absolutely fine and I never struggled for anything to eat. Food was hot and nice
The pool was always busy, the entertainment I didn't see any.
Location, 5 minutes to Capellan beach but it is a steep hill, it's a smaller beach (my preferred beach too) but no problem finding a spot, safe to swim in and good for snorkelling on the left, it is possible to hire sun beds, a number of bins are provided for litter so it's not dirty ( take note in England, where they all just dump it on the sand and clear off)
Bus stop 100 yds away at the bottom of the hill, good bars and restaurants are close to the hotel
Cambrils a nice 90 min walk along the front, Tarragona is 20 / 30 mins on the bus.
I will be perfectly happy recommending the hotel and staying again, only reason for 3 star is the number of lifts causing queues and long wait if you couldn't climb the stairs and the well worn towels.
Thanks for a nice stay

Just returned from staying at this hotel for the past week. We did all inclusive with it being our first family holiday having a 3yr old and an 8 month old. Previously, have never done all inclusive so can’t compare to anywhere else.
We thought the hotel was clean and modern. Our little girl loved the small childrens pool as it wasn’t overwhelming, we always got sunbeds and umbrellas. The ice creams, slushes and pool snacks were a life saver. The entertainment team were so lovely and enthusiastic with the kids they really need recognition! We ate in the restaurant for the whole week and we thought that the selection was really good for a hotel buffet, we were expecting to have to eat out but there was always fresh meats, fish, fruit, salads, dessert stations, breads, pizzas, chef stations where they cook in front. The waiters were very attentive and friendly too.
The drinks in the all inclusive were great, good selection of alcoholic drinks, particularly made up we could have baileys.
The aircon in the room was good, the beds were made daily and toiletries topped up even though we didn’t use them, we asked for fresh bedding a few days as the children got them a bit messy wasn’t a problem. WiFi had a great service all over the hotel.
The only things that didn’t suit us about this hotel are, evening meal isn’t open until 7pm which is too late for our children, and they were well past wanting to eat. The kids mini disco is at 21:15pm, again for young children is far too late, the room was too small for us, as we had no space to move in the room having 2 buggies and suitcases. Also there was no bin in the main room, so we had to get plastic bags and use that as a bin. The lifts were an absolute nightmare and most of the time we gave up and carried the prams down the stairs.
We had a VERY awful smelling toilet drain for 2 days which got fixed eventually. The main door also fell off its hinges and thankfully narrowly missed our children but we reported it and it got fixed straight away.
For the price we paid for this holiday considering your flights etc are included in that price we were really made up overall, do I think i would recommend it for a family, no, but for others, yes! ☺️

My partner and I stayed at the Best Mediterraneo for ten nights,
The check in was quick
The room is very modern the beds are very comfortable there is a safe and q fridge which we used for cold drinks ,a TV which we didn't use very often as who watches tv on holiday, the bathroom is spacious and has a very good shower, the only gripe with our room was we had one of the few balconies with a concrete wall so we couldn't watch the entertainment sitting on our balcony if we wanted to.
The hotel is spotless the cleaners do a amazing job the room was cleaned every day and you are given fresh towels and toiletries.
The food is OK you will always find something to eat we did,our only grumble was the food is always lukewarm but we still enjoyed our meals, the staff in the restaurant are great as soon as you sit down at your table they ask you what you want to drink.
The snack bar outside is excellent self-service for lager sangria and soft drinks when asking for a drink the staff always served you quickly with a smile.
The pool area is good we always got a sunbeds at different parts of the day, the sun worshipping people queued at 9.30 to get there favourite spot we could be bothered with that ,
The location of the hotel is brilliant plenty of bars and restaurants around the corner, would definitely recommend the Last Orders bar turn left outside the hotel and across the main road at the bottom.of the hill,it's about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the centre of Salou would definitely recommend the walk along the sea front turn right outside the hotel and up the hill then right again the walk is beautiful.
We would definitely recommend the Best Mediterraneo and would definitely return.

I stayed at this hotel the first week in June with my partner and out 2 kids 12 and 5. It is a good hotel and was what i expected for the money i pad. I will summarise the good and bad points below.
Good points
The food here was ok and of the usual all inclusive 3 star standard. Wine, water, soft drinks or bottled beer is served by waiters in the food part. The bed sheets and towels are changed regularly and the hotel is clean, there is snacks available thought the day from the outside bar between meal times. Its quiet at night and we had no problem sleeping by any noise. The pool is nice and there are plenty of sunbeds. The hotel its self is not far from 3 beaches and is only a short walk into the town. Even though our flight was delayed and we arrived at the hotel later than expected and dinner had finished the had prepared us some food and opened the restaurant up just for us. Wi-Fi is free and good.
The not so good points
The rooms are small if you are going with kids, they would be fine for just 2 people. The air conditioning was almost none existent i turned it right down and it still blew to warm, i turned the thermostat in the room until it clicked to see what the temperature was and it was always around 28 degrees C. The hotel is mainly Spanish which is fine as its in Spain but there are no English tv channels. A lot of the entertainment is in Spanish and most nights its bingo or some kind of karaoke, i think more in peak season it would probably be better. Inflatables are not allowed in the pool although on a few days people did use them. There is no kids club and day time entertainment isn't great . Like with all all inclusive hotels you've had enough of the food after a few days although it is pretty well rotated.
So all in all a decent hotel that isn't too far from port Aventura which we had a great time at.

Visited as multiple family group of ten at the end of July, check in was hassle free. I've read a few comments about small room size, but it was average for an all inclusive in Spain, they've been refurbished so were lovely and clean. Maid comes to make the beds and change the towels everyday, and decent size fridge (use a store card in the room card slot to keep it cold while you're out!)
Food was lovely, we are adventurous eaters and our children know what to expect in all inclusive restaurant so know not to go looking for chicken nuggets and chips. Omlettes and pancakes made to order at breakfast, handstretched pizzas were beautiful and there was never a complaint from all ten of us. Snack bar is a little disappointing, no crisps, biscuits or buns and it stops serving between 1pm and 3. Cornetto and magnums only on the all inclusive ice cream menu.
Definitely a little sunlounger issue, however the main culprits queuing were British, and even after the initial rush at 930 there were plenty of beds in the sun. The hotel was at full capacity when we stayed, and it didn't feel crowded. They definitely need to implement removing towels from sunbeds that aren't occupied, but then that would involve the lifeguard taking his eyes off of his phone. God help anyone that needs his assistance.
Entertainment was Meh, average and ainly aimed at the spanish. If you have a pool view room take ear defenders if you want to sleep before midnight.
I'd return purely because it was immaculately clean , the staff can't do enough to help and the food was delicious.

We arrived on the 15th of August family of 5 myself 49 my mum 74 two 17 year olds and my 13 year old autistic son fantastic welcome rooms not quiet ready but were given wristbands straight away to go and enjoy some lunch rooms were ready by time lunch was eaten .we had room 530 and 540 one pool view 1 street view rooms were lovely and clean slight smell from the drains in street view room but a trip over the road for a bottle of bleach sorted that problem right out . Rooms were cleaned daily towels replenished no problem with anything in the rooms .The food was great always found somthink for everyone can get a little busy but we where always seated quickly. The staff right through the hotel were always friendly and polite and worked extremely hard lady on front desk were lovely as were all the staff we encountered the animation team are so much fun and full of energy . Hatedvtge morning rush for spot at the pool as if you didnt get out there quickly you dint get a parasol so people had 3 and 5 longers which I felt was a little greedy we only ever took 2 loungers and 1 parasol but did always find a seat. The drinks were of a great standard and were plentiful on the all inclusive really wish I was still there would highly recommend this hotel it was great and will most definitely return in the future Thankyou best Mediterraneo

I read such good things prior to booking but was very disappointed. I'll keep it succinct:
The rooms are small with paper-thin walls. However, the shower / toilet area is spacious
You can't access the outside area of the hotel until 1000 Hrs. by which point there's a large queue followed by a cringeworthy dash to the sunbeds. The beach is where you need to head to.
The food is almost identical every day so make sure you like pork (including trotters and cheeks), chips and rice! We ate out out every night despite being all inclusive.
The female bar staff were just blatantly rude (this was not just a personal experience)
All bar staff try to fob you off with 'cheap / copy' drinks. You need to watch what they pour and challenge them if they don't pour the brand you've requested. The 'cocktails' are from a tap and are dire. They don't like serving in glasses (mostly plastic), even in the indoor bar.
The 'entertainment' is verging on embarrassing.
On a positive note, the hotel is clean

Very good 3 star hotel. We was all inclusive and the food/drinks/snack bar and ice creams was all included. Snack bar near the pool served hotdogs, burgers, cheese and ham toasties and fries these was only available while the main restaurant was shut. Ice creams was nice and Cornetto was available which is a first for us in an all inclusive hotel also at meal times in the main restaurant the beer was in bottles as was the pepsi so you know it's not watered down lol.
The food was very edible and varied always something to eat like a pizza or burger and fries for the guests that are not one for trying new things. Loads of pasta dishes too. Our room was on the 6th floor with 2 lifts available didn't need to wait too long if you can't manage the steps, we usually walked down and got the lift up. Room was large and it had 2 double beds good size bathroom and TV on the wall, with BBC news, itv, Channel 4 and channel 5 available. Very good internet WiFi in the hotel and loads of plug sockets in the bedrooms and also usb sockets in bedrooms too, only downside to the bedrooms is not enough cupboard storage space for clothes. You need to rent a kettle for €2 per day but the safe is free so it evens itself out because we usually pay for the room safe in hotels. Only a few minute walk to loads of bars and restaurants/shops although it is down a hill but take it steady and it really isn't too bad. Our first time in Salou and we enjoyed it, it has lovely beaches and the sea front goes on for miles and is a nice walk. We recommend The Taj Mahal Indian restaurant which is about 5 to 10 min walk away and Chaplin's cabaret bar for the tribute acts.
All in all a decent clean hotel.

I have just returned from a week all inclusive at this hotel and will 100% not be going back.
The storage in the room is quite simply not good enough with one of thos 'back to front ' style wardrobes with ltd space for a couple on a weeks holiday dont know what people would do if they were there for a fortnight.
The bed linen was not changed the whole time we were there and the cleaning of the rooms themselves leaves alot to be desired.
In every hotel I have stayed in the pool area has been cleaned on a daily basis but again this did not happen during our stay and some of the tables around the outside bar were filthy.
The food in the restaurant was ok but the breakfast wasnt the best with the scrambled eggs in particular being quite frankly awful.
The location is ok with a number of bars and restautants in close proximity to the hotel itself.
My main concern with this hotel is as stated above with the overall cleanliness of the place not being up to the standards of other hotels I have stayed in across thr World it is most certainly not a 3☆ plus establishment.

Stayed here for a long weekend in July and would definitely consider staying here again. The rooms were compact but plenty of space for 2 people. Would be a squeeze if anymore than 2. We stayed on the second floor and had 2 small double beds, balcony facing the road and a walk in shower which was powerful and perfect temperature. We went b&b and found something to eat at breakfast. Omelettes, pancakes, eggs, bread, continental meats. The meat was typical spanish but there was plenty of other options around. We paid one day for lunch which was around 24 euros for 2 of us and had unlimited food and drinks (we had sangria). Lots of options and the pate was delish. The pool was quite busy but had plenty of beds so we never struggled and there are activities throughout the day for the bigger children and adults. For a weekend break it was perfect but I would probably choose somewhere else if staying longer. The location was great but being across from a nightclub it was noisy allllllll night. Luckily I drank enough gin the first 2 nights so wasnt that bad but the last night when staying relatively compas mentas for an early flight meant I didnt get much sleep. Overall a good stay, clean hotel and great location.
