This is one of the best airport hotels we have ever stayed in. The night staff is amazing. There’s a young man, there named Cody, who is exceptional! Wanted to take him home but was afraid he would freeze in Montana 😂 can’t wait to come back again

We lost track of our carry on bag with our medications, $100, a computer and so on. My wife contacted airport security, which in turn, found the bag, and notified American Airlines. They sent it on to us after our agreeing to pay $30 for shipping. I wish I could get that pricing for shipping a heavy item. We needed a shuttle to the hotel. It was several blocks away from where we picked up our luggage; really inconvenient.

The person checking us in was rude. He was short and let someone cut in line in front of me. The hotel carpet in the room was wet from the corner of the room and underneath the bed to the night stand. And there were hairs all over the bathtub. Marriotts are usually better than this

The parking is ABSOLUTELY NOT secure. My truck was stolen from their “secure” parking lot on January 18th. I was parked in the main lot right in front of the main hotel entrance. They have no security. They have no cameras. The Irving police did very little to help once stolen vehicle was reported.

Upon arrival, after a very long day of delays, I was greeted at the desk with "You checked in online, what did you come to the desk for?" Ummm, ok. Well, I need a key for my son and probably myself too since the app never likes to work properly. I inquired about the M Club and was told it is closed Sat and Sunday. I don't know why properties are doing this...people eat on weekends too, esp at an airport. I was offered no alternative but decided to inquire the next morning and was then informed I could partake in the breakfast buffet in lieu of the club offerings. That is fine, except they were way understaffed and it took too long. After that didn't attempt it the next 2 mornings due to time constraints. An open lounge where one can grab a bottle of water or a coffee throughout the day would be far superior, even if no hot food items are served. On Monday morning the club remained closed. It had snowed, but driving was fine...this southern girl got around town that day. I'm guessing the employee had not shown up for her shift. Basically, if you're titanium, don't expect much, even a simple thank you for your loyalty at check in. The same poor service was on display at the coffee bar. We did have a pleasant waiter at dinner in the restaurant. He was the exception. Rooms were ok, but the bathrooms are a bit tired and unkept. Airplane noise is noticeable if you don't use a noise machine. The drive to and from rental cars is a good 15+ minutes, even though you are a stones throw from the airport. Stick with one of the hyatt properties at the terminal.

In the past we have enjoyed staying at this hotel before an early flight. However, now the Club is closed on weekends (no compensation for this inconvenience), we will change our plans. The overpriced restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was good. Breakfast opened at 6:30 am, not early enough for our flight. Airport shuttle runs every half hour, on the hour and at 30 min after.

Our discontent with this hotel began at DFW Airport, when we called the Marriott to find out how we get a shuttle to the hotel. The hotel operator instructed us, upon exiting the terminal, to turn right and continue to the end. We do so, and only found out from a fellow passenger that the pick up point was all the way to the left--not the right. After a long flight from Europe, in the winter cold, this was nasty harbinger of what was to come. We waited a good 20 minutes for the shuttle, despite the fact that there was very little car and foot traffic. Once at the airport, we were shocked by the carpets lining the hallways, which looked like they were encrusted with old barf (it turned out this was the chosen "design"), and our room carpet had a similar, disagreeable "motif." At the restaurant/bar, there seemed to be few employees around. Service practically non-existent. Hotel was unable/unwilling to deal with our fedex orders or even plain postage, despite having a "business center." People at the reception desk were barely able to maintain a modicum of politeness. The hotel has 4 elevators and yet, on average, we had to wait 15 minutes for it to arrive on our floor. On the morning we checked out, only one elevator was working and we feared we might miss our flight as many people were checking out at same time. We swore to our ourselves that we would never return to this hellhole.

This hotel has the best staff and is the best location. Everyone at reception was so nice and welcoming. Every morning when I’d come down, every afternoon when I’d come back – they all treated me like the remembered me and were genuinely happy I was there. The men working the front door and valet station were extremely polite and helpful. The bartenders worked hard to keep everyone happy. Thank you Marriott

The hotel has a grand lobby. The location is right by the airport. However, it is not near any restaurants. They do have an M Lounge that is stocked and really nice. The check-in process was slow. My room was available right at 4:00pm. Also, anything you need from the staff is extremely slow. I asked for extra towels and it’ll take a few hours for them to show up. Nor do they respond at all to the chat via the Marriott app (which almost every hotel does now). The staff is a big drawback to this hotel. The rooms are large, clean, quiet. Excellent once you get in them. Housekeeping will not refresh your room. Even if requested. (And FS Marriott’s are suppose to be back to refreshing daily). The bed is very comfortable. Parking is what will make this hotel even worse. They now charge $20/day, not waived for Titanium. Also, their parking lot is extremely inconvenient. -flyou

Utilize their shuttle service for the airport at your own risk. 2 times this year so far they have NOT made their timely pickups and had to wait over an hr for each shuttle. Making excuses for their solo drivers. Maybe if you’d pay your drivers a decent wage, they would be motivated enough to show up for work and not beg us for tips.
