Detailed Reviews
This hotel has a super convenient location with complimentary airport shuttle and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. Unfortunately, the evening Front Desk staff left much to be desired: they weren't friendly at all, had their masks down, and even allowed guests who weren't wearing masks to check-in despite the hotel featuring clear signs that face masks are required to avoid the spread of Covid19. In-room amenities are very limited and the evening staff seemed bothered when I politely asked about bottled water which is offered at all Westins to Elite members. The hotel's management should seriously retrain the evening Front Desk staff; they are an embarrassment to the Westin brand and there is absolutely no excuse for them to violate basic safety requirements during a global pandemic.

Excellent clean hotel. Lovely decor and spacious rooms. Room service is confusing. It charges a room service charge, service charge then asks for gratuity? I get the room service charge and the tip but is the service charge the tip also?
Also, it took almost 10 minutes every time you need to get the elevator. There ate FOUR elevators but it still takes this long and this wasn’t a busy night. I think one one must have been working. The doors would open and it would be picked of people saying no you can fit in wait for the next one then the same thing would happen again! For a well taken care of hotel this elevator situation needs to be resolved. And the room service should be explained at check in maybe, we are not locals so don’t know if we’ve technically tipped twice
Other than that fabulous hotel and great value for money. Right next to the airport and grapevine district. Could be better sound proofed though, you can really hear the planes taking off and I’ve stayed in other airport hotels that are a lot quieter and even closer to the airport but it’s bearable. Thanks Westin for a great stay

I’m a corporate traveler and have stayed at this hotel and others in the surrounding area. Overall, this hotel is nice and became my hotel of choice because of the Peloton in the workout room and elite member lounge. However, all of my most recent stays have disappointed. There was construction going on so I excused the inconveniences but as of late, the non-working elevators have pushed me over the edge. It seem like every day of the week they book large events that fills the hotel with masses of people which results in extremely long waits for the elevator (I’m not kidding, there was a line that wrapped around the foyer just to get on). The stairs are outside the building which makes no sense. The large crowds make a lot of noise in the evening hours which is disruptive when trying to sleep. Due to the open design on the room floors, there is also no sound barrier. The gym is overcrowded and all the equipment is occupied. I guess it’s a good thing that people are exercising but you really need to arrange your activity around rush hours. Anyhow, staff was always nice and did their best to address issues. Did I mention the key system went down and I was locked out of my room as well as everyone else? That coupled with only two working elevators created a fiasco. That was a one time occurrence. It was my lucky day, I guess.

Responded Mar 6, 2020
Dear deziree20, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for your comments. We sincerely apologize that you had difficulties during your stay. It appears that we fell short in a lot of areas, especially with the lines at the elevators and the issues with the key cards. As you know, this is not how we normally operate, and we hope to keep you as one of our regular guests. We appreciate the input and will share it with our team so we can give you a better stay moving forward. Scott Stewart General Manager

To Whom It May Concern,
My team and I recently stayed at your Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport property.
We are here in Dallas to fly to China after an extensive COVID testing requirement.
The staff of the hotel were not wearing mask. Even when I came to speak to them they did not put a mask on while speaking through the pixie glass safety divider. Additionally, two staff members by the lobby elevators were together without a mask. I waited to enter this area in hopes he would put a mask on. It wasn’t until I said something that they did.
Needless to say, it was shocking to see this going on and we promptly check out and moved to a different hotel. Upon check out, I was asked why. I told the front desk staff member we were uncomfortable with the lack of COVID precautions. At this time she still did not have a mask. She checked us and charged us my and my teams rooms.
This was very disappointing and will definitely be in my mind for all future business travel with Marriott/Westin.

I stayed here for one night in January 2020 before my connecting flights the next day. First off, I was incredibly impressed with the hospitality shown by one particular staff member. Cardell has to be one of the best Front Desk agents I've ever interacted with, Not only was he able to efficiently get us all checked in, He was genuinely interested in how my day was, where I was headed, What had brought me to DFW that evening. I explained that I'm an AVgeek and was laying over for the night here in Dallas. our conversation even continued when I came back downstairs to pick up some snacks from the store in the lobby. As soon as I walked off the elevator we bumped into each other again and rather than just a general "How's your room" He continued to be interested in my passion for aviation and the conversation continued for about 5-10 minutes. The room itself was somewhat small but still has more than adequate space for one or two guests. It was mostly immaculate and when I did have a very minor issue with the room the staff were quick to resolve the issue. The room had a large Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Etc. one thing to note is there is no coffee maker in the room. This wasn't a big deal since there's a 24hr shop downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised with this Westin as the last one I stayed at was a totally different experience. There's also a shuttle service that operates on demand which came in really handy! I'd highly recommend The Westin Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport to anyone needing a hotel near DFW!

The higher end of the hotel chain, I expect better service. The point of early check in with arrival time is so the room will be ready when you arrive and able to get in with mobile key. My flight was delayed over one hour so definitely should be ready. First I was given the wrong room number, then when I did get to my room it was not ready. Garbage bag on the table, garbage can in the hallway, toilet seat completely up, no shower mat. Spoke to front desk, told that they were sold out and that was the only king bed room, after I explained the condition of the room offered to move me next day. Next day after work I checked with front desk only greeted with blank stares by two and say nothing was arranged and asked me why again. Asked about mobile key and was told it really does not work. Offered one room but my room seemed to be in better condition so I decided to stay. The 2nd night, again the bathroom has no shower mat, didn’t replace additional towel, the toilet seat up 😌. As a titanium elite lifetime member I’ve stayed in many different ones within the chain. Most of the time was given an upgrade and with much better service even with the lower brand. Had better experience when I stayed at the Element hotel and the breakfast was better than the club lounge here with variety.

Stayed here for one night after missing connection. Last minute rate was good, and TA reviews decent. Was upgraded to a suite with my Bonvoy status, which was nice as that doesn't always happen. Property was not busy, I'm guessing pretty low occupancy rate for the Sunday of Labor Day. The Suite was one I believe is not used very frequently. Third floor, past HR office at the end of a hallway. Room was ok. Dark, kinda Dank smell-Just not fresh. Slept ok, but not great Maybe because it was a lower floor, IDK but it just was kinda un-fresh. hard to describe . Used the club lounge which was huge. Good variety for breakfast, nice staff throughout. Shuttle to airport is advertised as hourly on paper work but ran every thirty minutes. Quick trip to airport for our AM flight. There is not much else close by to this property, so unless you have a car or want to UBER you are kinda of stuck. Hotel bar and staff were great. Didn't explore much else of property. May or may not stay here or explore another Marriott property close by if needed (there are a few). Overall nice staff throughout, dated room, common areas were nice.

I booked and payed for my room on Hotwire.com. But, when I arrived at the hotel I was told that they had no more rooms. There had been a weather event that had caused many travelers to be stranded in DFW airport. Either the hotel took advantage of people who were stranded and desperate to charge higher prices or they didn't update their availability status with the third party vendors. I was not alone. A lot of other people who had booked a room online were turned away. The hotel did nothing to help me find another room in the area. The stress of booking a room and not having it available at midnight when I was trying to check in was a nightmare.

This hotel seems to value loyalty better than most Marriott hotels I’ve stayed in. They are very good about redeeming suite night awards. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, for the most part staff were friendly and helpful, especially the Club Lounge hostess at breakfast and the onsite restaurant was good, though their menu somewhat limited. The one issue we had with our room were a few small ants crawling on the floor. Aside from better pest control, two areas for improvement I would suggest are providing hors d’oruvres in the club lounge on weekday evenings and developing a more timely process for posting stays to Bonvoy accounts. My experience with this hotel is they are usually slower to post than any of the other Marriott family hotels where we stay. I find that a little ironic given how they are more generous in extending elite benefits to members than most other Bonvoy hotels.
Overall, a solid hotel that I have absolutely no hesitation recommending, especially to Bonvoy members. It’s a hotel we will definitely return to.

The Westin DFW is a pleasant property to stay for business and\or overnight if you need a place to stay should you be stranded at the airport. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant serves tasty food and does not feel like your typical hotel restaurant. The hotel could benefit from some minor repairs to some of the rooms. I stay there around six night a month and have noticed that some rooms are impeccable while others could benefit from small repairs to the curtains and room locks.

Don’t know. Call them.
Yes, you can park here for a week. Book the "Park & Fly" rate through the Westin website. It is a little higher than the base room rate, but was still cheaper than booking a room and parking at the airport or at Parking Spot when we priced it in August. The Park & Fly rate came with free breakfast and a couple of free drinks at the hotel bar when we booked.
Hi, sorry for the late response but there is adequate parking on site
I can't really say what has been renovated. My room did not show much wear and tear and I appreciated having enough power outlets to charge my devices without having to unplug the clock or a lamp.
