Located in the heart of downtown Houston--only a short walk from the Sam Houston Heritage park--this hotel is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the price. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel the quality the hotel strives for. The lobby bar, direct connection to a steakhouse, and the incredible view when you look up are some of the best perks I've encountered in a hotel (outside of Vegas). And riding the glass elevators is an experience in and of itself. Great stay, strong recommend.

I absolutely love the staff and amenities here. This is my third stay and now won’t stay anywhere else in Houston. What I enjoy most here is the very comfortable bed, the coffee maker and how great the staff are. They really make sure you are happy and have everything you need.

I was sleeping when there was a loud knock at my door. Suddenly a guy used a key rom come in! I had forgotten to lock that deadbolt. I yelled and asked what he was doing there and he left. I informed the front desk, but have not heard the outcome of the investigation. As a woman traveling alone, I will not stay here again, which is a disappointment. I’ve stayed here for work many times.

I have been staying at The Hyatt Downtown for over 10 years for a city event. The staff is amazing. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Food at Shula's Steakhouse is mouthwatering (especially the Lobster Bisque). I would highly recommend The Hyatt Downtown.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on our first visit to Houston and had a great time! Beautiful hotel, well located. We are Globalist members and Naomi made us feel super welcome, reached out ahead of time and reserved a really nice room for us. Restaurant breakfast was excellent. Hotel is a great value, we're looking forward to staying again in the future.

Very clean and friendly! Noise was an issue with street noise, but otherwise fabulous! Close enough we could walk to our location and lots of restaurants and entertainment. I would stay here again easily!

I was staying in downtown Houston for the rodeo parade, this hotel is conveniently located with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel appears to be very well-kept or possibly even newly renovated. The rooms were a good size, very clean and quiet, BEDS were SOOOO comfortable. Had a couple of drinks at the bar in the lobby, good selection, and prices were on average for a hotel bar. Will be back next year... maybe try their steakhouse, I heard others say it was good,

This hotel itself is a great option for the downtown area, however i recommend only staying here if you want to be drug along on a turbulent ride of terrible service. We had over 140 rooms booked at this hotel and we were not able to get in touch with anyone to advance the arrival until two days prior to arrival. Not only was the property radio silent pre-arrival, but post check out sending emails was like throwing a coin into a bottomless pit and hoping you hit the bottom. The only person who seemed to have any common sense and decency at this property was the reservations manager Danni Jones, who really deserves to be the GM of this hotel. If you are needing to advance anything with your hotel booking I recommend looking elsewhere for a property.

We stayed for 4 nights for just a short break. We brought our diabetic dog and were offered bowls for him. The dog potty area was small but got the job done. I did notice that the poop bags were not replaced for our last 3 days. We used a few grocery bags we had but someone else had to leave their poop there. Recommend the area checked daily. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious and updated. We were on the 16th floor and could hear vehicles revving their engines between the city buildings. It was quiet after 11. The lobibar was nice and the service was good. We enjoyed the shrimp tacos! The gym and pool area are adequate.
