We'd never been to Houston before and were stopping over returning to the UK from New Zealand, so we sought a reasonably priced hotel that was reasonably central to explore the city and area. Nothing is reasonably central in Houston! It is so big. However, LMiM was handily placed. The key plus was how incredibly friendly and helpful the whole team was throughout our 48 hour stay. The room was comfortable. The common areas were spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean in this privately owned and run B&B. The breakfast was freshly made and different on each day. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Great location in midtown. Room was very nice and the ceiling fan was an added bonus. The kitchen with water available at all times was nice as we were able to stop in after a late dinner. Breakfast was a wonderful treat. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking located behind the building.

This is a absolute gem of a place!!! Our room was large, and spaciously appointed with lovely furnishings. The natural light flowed through our quiet room creating a warm, comfortable environment. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on the veranda while we anticipated the scrumptious breakfast prepared by their cheerful, and very capable chef!!!
The Midtown location is perfect. We enjoyed the Montrose area as well as the museum district and downtown Houston too.
The proprietors were delightful, and wanted to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. All Covid precautions were taken, and distance was respected along with the wearing of face coverings.
In this climate of large and impersonal businesses, it was so refreshing to experience a warm, personalized greeting and stay. We will definitely return for another stay.

This was our second time staying at the hotel and it was just as wonderful as before. The proprietors have thought of every little detail for their guests' stay. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are so quiet we thought we were the only ones staying there (we weren't). We stayed 2 nights and next time might have to stay a third just to see what the amazing chef comes up with for breakfast, which was the best I've had in a long time after a year and a half of staying home. In the evening, they leave out wine and little cheese bites for guests to enjoy in their lovely sitting area. Thank you, La Maison, for being so thoughtful and kind on our visit to Houston.

One of the best stays we’ve EVER had. The suite was extremely well kept, with every possible detail imaginable, it even had a small sewing kit, as well a shoe shine cloth. Rooms are beyond roomy, equipped with balcony. Absolutely would recommend this BNB to everyone I meet.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and it’s almost like the best kept secret in Houston. We had such a great time with the special touches from Sharon (owner) and Chef Matthew made it it a memorable experience. It’s an exquisite atmosphere and we were so impressed with the layout of the entire property and how tucked away it was in a bustling city like Houston. It only took us 5 minutes before we agreed to come back every year. I almost hate sharing this review with the fear we’ll lose the exclusivity of an affordable, quiet, and enjoyable prime location in the middle of Houston.

Our entire family stayed here for a wedding and it worked out very well. Rooms were fine, but best of all was that we were all able to hang out in the small living room between events and just talk and laugh. There are only 12 (?) rooms and we had 8 of them, but even if there had been others sharing the living room - it would have been fine. There was also a small parlor. The staff made us feel very welcome and even set up the tables in a single row at breakfast for all of us to sit. They knew some of our names, asked about the event, and took care to address food sensitivities. How delightful it is to have the owners be part of the experience. Note that the owners are not always in the building, but they are instantly accessible. Parking is right out the back door and free. Don't hesitate!

We had such a pleasant stay! The hotel is so comfortable & convenient, and our room was very pleasant. Having access through the french doors in our room onto the veranda was a real treat - a huge live oak across the street and looking on to the top of the blooming crape myrtle trees! Breakfast was delicious, custom prepared for us by the extraordinary chef and raconteur Matthew. We could not have asked for a more pleasant and convenient place to stay. It was actually possible to do everything we wanted to do (museums, restaurants, parks...) without getting tangled in Houston traffic!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at La Maison. We cannot say enough about the warm hospitality and the fantastic accommodations. First - the hospitality: to start our stay, we were warmly welcomed by Tommi. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Matthew. And, for the entirety of our stay, we felt like we were at home. We took advantage of the conference room to have family meals and enjoyed the wine, coffee and other treats provided by the innkeepers and staff.
The accommodations are comfortable, spacious and exceptionally well taken care of. We slept comfortably, thanks to a wonderful bed, extra pillows that are proactively provided and a phenomenal A/C system. We loved being able to relax outside with a cup of coffee every morning. We plan to stay at La Maison again, the next time we visit Houston.

My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about La Maison B&B. Where to start? First, I am very particular about location and where this hotel is situated is excellent for the many restaurants, bars and shops in Midtown Houston. Next, the atmosphere at La Maison is relaxed but elegant with a pleasant common area and breakfast area. The hospitality shown cannot be beat. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and the shower was the nicest we've ever experienced. Finally, it's rare to find a hotel providing breakfasts. They were all made fresh and varied every day of our stay. You just can't go wrong staying at La Maison B&B. We most highly recommend it!
