A very unique experience. The living quarters were very comfortable, and felt very cozy. It’s very nice and quiet after the museum closes, and very enjoyable to roam around the courtyard at sunset and after dark. There is a journal there for guests to write...More

It was fun staying in an old fort with 3 foot deep walls. The AC worked well and the beds were comfy. There was a little kitchen with a frig and coffee maker and microwave. The bathroom had a shower. The commode worked but had...More

What a wonderful way to truly experience the meaning of what happened here. The quarters were comfortable, but not fancy. I wish our whole group could have stayed here, but it only sleeps four. The best was being on the grounds in solitude.

You'll need to call for rates and to make reservations. We stayed in March, had two adults & two children, and paid about $180/nt. Call 361-645-3752 between 9am and 4:45pm.
