Hard bed dope head low speaking guy on evenings. Cannot get xtra pillow or towels. Only good point was they did let us park there for free during our cruise. But just heads up. It seemed fairly clean. I think it’s an old Microtel!? Ask for late check out because we was not getting on ship til 2pm and they refused to allow us a 1pm check out said I would be charged with another night
You know I was one that was on the fence after reading reviews but for the price saving we booked anyways. We have never been more disappointed with our decision more the we are right now. We stayed over the weekend and woke up this morning to our trucks passenger side window being smashed in. We own a business and have an F-250. We were parked right by the door in the 2nd spot. I’m so angry and should have listened to the reviews warning to the reviews. BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING the savings is not worth a new window should have stayed on sea wall with security 😡😡😡 When I was talking to Chris the front desk clerk who refused to give me his last name because it’s his identity he cussed me out and told me to leave. All I had asked is for the GM to call me so we could discuss the issue. I would stay clear of this discounted hotel if I was you. I wish we would have.…
Overall my stay was good. THE PROS: little noise. Beautiful window view. Overall clean place. Nice front desk service. Decently priced. THE CONS: no breakfast because of Covid. there were stains all over the bed sheets. There is no plastic liner for bathroom tub/ fabric sheet gets soaked. The fan in the bathroom barely works which adds more moisture. The windows don’t open so the circulation in the building is poor. Because of this there is a strong Mold smell the second you enter the building. You get used to it. You can also tell the moisture is stagnant in the room because there is black mold all over everything. Lamp shades, wall art, everywhere! Terrible if you have allergies. I’d say overall this place is worth it. I’m sure other places are nastier than this.
We have a house on Tiki Island close by. Sometimes my daughter visits with her family and her childrens’ friends. The house becomes chaotic and cramped and we stay in a hotel. We stay here when we are looking for a comfortable place to sleep. The beds and bedding are comfortable. Check in is easy and fast. I have not noticed a bad smell. We have slept very well here and I can be a little picky. We stay at the Galvez when the children want to use a beautiful pool and the beach amenities. If you want a comfortable room to sleep this is a great option. If you want a resort with a restaurant and easy access to the beach, you should look elsewhere.
Shocking hotel that we had to endure. Used booking.com for booking checking in at front desk there was already drama. The lady was also doing the washing while checking us in. Only one key card issued. No others available. The 1 bedroom suite we booked was not what we got and when we informed from desk they said they don't have those rooms as per the picture showed in this hotel. We immediately checked out and we are still awaiting a refund. We have had no reply to emails and phone calls. Booking.com have also not helped at all even though we called them immediately after we had this problem. Do yourself a favour and don't use this dirty grubby hotel!
