1) we were placed on the 11th floor on a corner room low number like 1102 approx. Upon arriving on the 11th floor an our room, my wife and I see the next door room with a number of occupants. As I walk by the room I observe the door open with a girl in the far corner with the appearance of leaning over and snorting something. I immediately realized that I did not want to experience another sleepless night of partying???you see we have been coming to the colonial for years and have been staying here at the Hilton! Approx two years ago we were in the exact same room we were relocated to after my request from my illustration above. The issue two years ago the group of guys next door partied all night slamming someone against the wall numerous times. We called security an they came several times checking out the noice!
When we were relocated to the opposite side on same floor we realized - that the bath sink would not drain ~the ice bucket was filled with water - the towel was extremely limited I called the front desk about the sink, they said they would send someone in the morning. The next morning I called for towels only to receive after my second call and me just air drying after my shower. My Wife was extremely ticked as she needed towels.
Upon leaving for the colonial I went to front desk to tell them once again about the sink. The young lady wrote our room # down and n out tea sink clogged. When we returned around 6pm we find the room nor cleaned and the sink still clogged I went to the front desk and ventilated They had a maintenance man up while I showered as we had an engagement an he cleared it up.
This has been the worst experience - I must say after staying here for Many years. This is the last
For you all to charge what you do and the service / and the sink issues, towels and no service in cleaning the rooms is terrible.
Moving to the OMNI now
I arrived at the hotel at 9:30 pm after a long flight, but my room wasn’t ready yet.
First, the digital key wasn’t working. The receptionist was very friendly, but she couldn’t solve my issue on the spot. So she offered me a drink at the bar while I waited. The bar was packed with a group of conference attendees, with only one bartender working. I was barely able to get one drink, but all I wanted at that time was to be able to shower and get ready for my meetings the next day. It wasn’t until 10:30 pm that I got a physical key from the front desk. The digital key became available around midnight!
The room was updated and spacious. But my OCD side has me going around wiping all the surfaces, to which I uncovered some dust (not a big deal) and an old candy wrapper on the floor behind the ottoman. That gave me a slight chill - why didn‘t housekeeping notice that?
A breakfast buffet was available for purchase, but the quality was average.
When it came time to check out, there was only one person at the front desk. She wasn’t available to assist anyone else as she was busy on the phone dealing with a new hotel reservation. I was looking for an updated receipt to confirm that the breakfast was comped, but after waiting for 10 mins, I decided to check out on my app as there was no one else able to help.
I was surprised that a digital copy of the receipt arrived in my inbox shortly after checking out except that I was still being charged for the breakfast that should’ve been comped. This now requires me to follow up with Hilton to straighten it out. Of course the representative first assumed that I didn’t know how to read my credit card statement as his question to me was “are you sure that the charge wasn’t pending?” It was after I triple assured him that I’ve waited for the charge to hit my card that’s when he apologized and said “sometimes our system is not good at recognizing comped meals”. I mean…this is the Hilton right? Aren’t they used to handling their HH members on a regular basis?
Needless to say, with so many hotel choices nearby, you are better of staying at another hotel and saved yourself some energy writing this review.
