My family and I stayed in a queen suite at the Hampton Inn located at 4201 Reggis Court in Ft. Worth, TX for 3 nights from 5/6 through 5/9.
This stay was booked online using booking.com. I have attached a screen shot of the booking confirmation. The total price, including taxes and fees, was $389.20.
I noticed the following day, my credit card was charged $509.52. At that time, I went downstairs and spoke with a desk clerk named Kim. Kim tried to tell me the difference was due to a 15% hold on the card for incidentals plus taxes and fees.
I told her that is well over 15% and showed her my booking confirmation of $389.20 which already included taxes and fees. Kim told me at that time she would look into it.
The next day it still wasn’t fixed, she said they had an auditor that would be in that morning and she would have it fixed.
Finally the following day at check-out, I spoke with a new desk clerk, Pamela. Pamela was rude, asking me what my daily rate was. I told her I didn’t know, but again showed her my confirmation. She proceeded to ask me the same question 3 times until I finally handed over my phone and showed her. I told her I didn’t care what the daily rate was, as long as my total charges were $389.20, we were good. After explaining the error to her and showing her my confirmation, she told me she would take care of it.
I arrived home this evening to check pending credits/charges and see a total of $600.92 has now been charged to my credit card.
My family and I have stayed at several Hilton properties throughout the years and have never had a problem or complained. We stay at your hotels multiple times throughout the summer with kids traveling sports teams. I realize this is more than likely an isolated incident, however this is completely unacceptable. Under no circumstances should this have ever taken more then addressing it with Kim in the first place to get it resolved.
The noise from the airport was a little more then I expected. I stayed at the Hilton next to St Louis airport and could not hear any planes. The front desk lady was a little rude because I didn’t know to use my key to enter the front door.
Got my water at check in, but no real acknowledgement of Hilton status; clean room and bathroom; the hvac works well and has continuous air flow to prevent
stuffiness; work desk chair raises to a proper height for typing; plenty of power outlets at the work desk; good WiFi; good breakfast.
Not good
The stupid sliding barn door for the bathroom and no latch to keep someone from opening the door while the bathroom is occupied; the towels are on shelves by the sink; get rid of the useless "art" over the toilet and put all the towels on racks next to the shower; put a sink hand towel rack on the wall next to the sink.
Overall
A good place to stay and could be much better without the stupid bathroom barn door and moving the towels to the wall next to the shower.
The breakfast here was also really really good, no issues at all. Great selection, great tasting. One of the best free breakfasts we've had at a hotel and we've travelled the world.
Room was very confortable, contact-less check-in and out was perfect, used the app for room key and everything. Zero complaints. We will stay here again!
We were so disgusted that we forfeited that nights payment we already made, and took off driving down the road hoping to find a better hotel.
Upon first arriving at the Hampton (picked mainly due to a Tesla destination charger), we were greeted by super sweet ladies at the front desk, I believe their names were Lolita and Pamela. They were both incredibly sweet and helpful after hearing about our horrible experience with Days Inn, and helped us get our room booked and made sure our stay was absolutely perfect!
The first thing we did was take a shower to wash off the grossness of the Days Inn, and were so relieved by how clean and spotless the room and bathroom were. Lolita and Pamela helped convert us to solely a Hilton (and affiliates) customer. We will never stay any where else!
I believe it was David, again, who checked me in upon arrival. He is always so friendly and efficient. I saw him be kind to every guest he engaged as I got my cookies and water. Once again, all the staff were friendly!
There appears to be additional food options open that were under construction during my last visit last summer. It is super convenient to have miultiple options right outside of the hotel.
There is easy access to the freeway, although there is a bit of traffic at certain times of day. Very close ot DFW, but I prefer Love Field so I have to drive a little bit. It is an easy drive no matter which airport you utilize.
Stayed in a king suite and it was as clean and beautiful as the 2-bed suite I stayed in last time. Love the decor, bed is super comfortable. Housekeeping is on point.
Although though there are many options closer to my office in Arlington, this is my go-to spot!
