Kimpton Hotels are a favorite for us. The Kimpton Harper in Fort Worth provided us an excellent hotel experience. Valet parking on busy main street was a great convenience. Valets promptly greeted us at arrivals and provided our car on time. ( The only hitch with parking is that I received a parking ticket for the garage they use. The hotel is taking care of it, as I would expect from Kimpton. ) Location is excellent as it is close to Bass Hall and Sundance Square as well as many restaurants. The museum district is an easy short drive.

The hotel remodelled an historic office building. The historic exterior, first floor lobby, and elevators maintained its integrity. We enjoyed the location of the lobby and bar on the 24th floor, providing panoramic views. Check was convenient and welcoming. The first room we were assigned had a broken door, but not a problem as we promptly were reassigned. Not a problem.

Kimpton upgraded us to a king suite! It was comfortable and spacious, the best hotel room were ever occupied. The suite included three rooms and the most spectacular bathroom with shower and soaking tub, plenty of counter space, and adjustable lighting in all rooms allowed us to adjust to our needs and moods and enable us a night light to find our way. The bed and linens were comfortable. Black out drapes darkened the room from city lights.

Service was attentive and welcoming. I recommend Kimpton Harper without hesitation.

We stayed at the Kimpton-Harper this week while attending an event at the convention center downtown. This hotel was excellent! In fact when we left I was already online looking at more hotels in the Kimpton line to stay at! So first, if you’re going to the Ft Worth Convention Center, this location is perfect. Easy to walk to in no time. Now for the hotel.. this location was recent remodeled, and they did a fantastic job! Everything inside was so tastefully put together. It made us just want to hang out there all day. Our room was beautiful. It was so big and spacious, beautiful decor, comfy beds, and a big bathroom. I wish I had taken pictures, but I can say the stock photos they show are exactly how things really look.

Now for the part that doesn’t apply to everyone, but if it applies to you it matters. When searching for a hotel, I needed to be able to bring my dog. Most places said dog friendly, but you must pay this fee and that fee etc. Kimpton Harper said not only are dogs welcome, they are free, and they had welcome treats! They also had complimentary dog beds to borrow (we forgot ours! Theirs was so soft and plush!!), and food and water bowls to borrow as well!

Every member of their staff that we encountered were all friendly and helpful. The front desk ladies were sweet and had answers to every question, the breakfast cook/server was welcoming and open, the valet was patient and fast!

I will definitely be staying here again.

The Kimpton is a boutique hotel, located in downtown Fort Worth, surrounded by great restaurants & close to most amenities. From check-in to check-out, the service was excellent, the room comfortable & spacious & very clean. I was located on the 16th floor which offered great views. While it can be a little noisy (sirens etc) this is to be expected bring in such a central location.
The on-site Italian Restaurant (I’l Mondo) offers delicious meals & very good service. The valet parking is efficient & friendly (USD$34 p/day).
Easy walk to Sundance Square, where on weekends they have free live music on offer, so enjoy a meal alfresco.

The valet was the only good customer service we received during our entire stay. Our room wasn’t ready at check in. We were given the wrong room and they were booked so we got stuck with one bed and a blow up mattress that was flat 1/2 way through the night. We were told the valet was $45 a night plus tax and it was $60 a night plus tax for trucks and SUV’s, but were not told until check out. It’s Texas, everyone drives trucks and SUV’s and they should give accurate information. There is no iron or ironing board in the room and it took 45 minutes to get one. Maybe skip the umbrella and yoga mat and give us an ironing board and iron.

I have stayed at the Harper at least a half dozen times since it opened earlier this summer and I must say that every stay has been even better than the one prior. The front desk staff are always friendly and attentive and while on our last stay they really went out of their way to make a birthday celebration a little extra special. The rooms have always been spotless and very quiet. Both the restaurant and the lobby bar have been wonderful every time we have visited. This hotel definitely has a more relaxed and casual vibe compared to a lot of the other Kimptons I have stayed at which can be a nice change of pace. If you’re looking for a consistently great hotel in a convenient location in Fort Worth, this is your place.

My husband and I have birthdays that are a day apart and we decided to celebrate with a weekend in Fort Worth. Based on lots of positive reviews, we booked at the new Kimpton Harper. Hands down, this is my absolute favorite hotel in Fort Worth. I cannot recommend staying here enough. The hotel is in a fantastic location downtown-tons of restaurants, parking and a short walk to Sundance Square. The building was built in the 1920's and converted to a hotel in 2021. The juxtaposition of old world charm and modern streamlined design is stunning. The eclectic mix of styles and vibrant art throughout the hotel proved sophistication in all the details. The lobby is located on the top floor (24) and provides views of downtown that are second to none as well as super swanky bar. Upon arrival, each staff member behind the desk warmly welcomed us and enthusiastically wished us a Happy Birthday. We were upgraded to a beautiful 1 bedroom suite that had champagne chilled and a lovely hand written note from the manager. We were so delighted in the personal touches to make our weekend extra special. The room was extremely clean, well appointed, and of course had beautiful views of the city with wrap around windows. Some of our favorite parts were the luxurious robes, lovely bath products (even bath salts for the soaking tub) and my the bed/bedding. My husband is still raving about "the best bed of his life." There is a complimentary coffee bar in ground floor restaurant each morning for your convenience-it was really delicious and so convenient. Another fun aspect of this hotel is the "Manager's Wine Tasting," that is held for an hour each evening and the manager provides wine tastings to guests in the lobby. It was so nice to meet the manager, Mark, have a great glass of wine, and enjoy the views! This hotel definitely exceeded all my expectations- It has top notch accommodations but the staff/management are really what made this stay so amazing. Cannot wait to return!

Stayed at this hotel while doing a downtown event. Service is absolutely excellent in this hotel. From the minute you walk through the door you are treated like royalty. They even give you a local beer or a bottle of water as you are checking in. Rooms are all spacious and appointed nicely. We particularly enjoyed the bar in the evening after our event, where the drinks were creative and the view of downtown Fort Worth enjoyable. They also had a free wine reception in the before dinner hours.

All that said, I did find this hotel a bit overpriced. We did not spring for a view with our room, which meant we looked at another building wall. That was fine, but still the non-view room was quite expensive. I would say this is a good hotel for a romantic one night stay. But for more than one night, it is not worth the price and there are other hotels nearby that are equally convenient and not much of a step down for a lot less money.

Gave a 4 ranking rather than a 5 based on the value for the money.

Our annual Baseball Stadium tour with eight men stopped to see the Texas Rangers this year. I was advised to stay in Fort Worth which lead me to the Kimpton which has a great reputation. I made my reservations directly on Kimptons website to avoid any issues and booked 5 rooms for 3 nights: Two private and three to share reserving two queen/full beds. Reservations were confirmed the day before arrival via phone call. Upon check-in, all 5 rooms were single king beds! Speaking with the front desk, they seemed unaware of this problem even after me telling them I called the day before to confirm. While they tried to accommodate us, they could only secure two double bed rooms. The other was a king suite which had a pullout sofa bed. Not an optimal situation but we rolled with it. Upon further examination, the sofabed was not at all comfortable so we were told a mattress topper would be delivered to the room. Instead we were delivered a roll-away, A minuscule improvement and caused one in our group to forfeit 3 good nights sleep on quality bedding. Unacceptable! I'll still awaiting a reply from the hotel.

This is a gorgeously restored historic building with super comfy rooms, an elegant upper-story lounge and bar, and a perfect location. The short walking distance to the train station provided us with easy access to the fast and convenient Dallas commuter rail and Amtrak, and we were surrounded by great restaurants and other historic sites! The staff is also very responsive--due to my work I had a request to learn more about the rooftop and Wayne, my main man at the front desk, went above and beyond to help my find the answers. I miss this place already!
