Detailed Reviews
I recently stayed at the AC hotel with my family while visiting my son who is a student at TCU. We had an outstanding experience. The hotel is new modern and very clean. The staff especially front desk were always very positive and upbeat. We loved the room especially the clean feel of it - no carpeting which creates less dust. Nice modern amenities. Also thought it was a tremendous value for all of the quality we received. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

The AC is now my go to place to stay in Fort Worth. The location is very convenient and is within walking distance to many other restaurants and things to do and from 5th street you can easily get anywhere else in the city. The hotel itself is new, comfortable, clean and well appointed but it’s their team that will make you want to stay here. Every single team member that I encountered during my stay was very welcoming and friendly and when I needed something, they went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed. Quinten who is the director of front of house went way above and beyond to help me when my rental car had a problem. Kelsey from the front desk helped me choose the right room for my stay, before I even arrived and the sweet bartender (the one with the accent-I forgot to get his name) went out of his way to give me some to go cups of water and coke on my first night. I was really thirsty and had not yet found the little store downstairs where I could simply purchase bottles of water! It’s those small details that make a huge difference when you’re worn out from traveling and in a new city. The AC has done a great job in selecting its team members and it really shows in the level of quality interactions with guests like me. I’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the AC hotel. It's clean, new and modern. A few things to note, it has an open-air concept so make sure if you are "rooming" with someone you understand what that means based upon the room type you are getting. The continental and hot breakfast were both outstanding! For some reason, our room didn't get cleaned a few times, but they were accomodating and made it up to us. Parking is only valet and it's expensive, so we just parked in another garage down the street and saved ourselves a lot of money, but if you need in and out privileges, you need to think about that and the convenience prior. I know they are sort of staff, but my one request is that they answer the phone. I called several times prior to arriving and never could get someone to answer. They really need a receptionist or someone to get the phone when it rings. Outside of that, I still would highly recommend them!

For this trip to Fort Worth, we stayed at the AC Hotel. We will never be returning. At check-in, the front desk personnel were condescending and seemed angry to actually have to do anything resembling their job. While this has been a problem we have seen in many hotels recently, they seem to be trying for a trophy in laziness at this location. During our entire stay, only one of the front desk workers was pleasant and helpful. We had called down for an item and he advised housekeeping would bring it right up. Two hours later, after no one came, we went down to the front desk to get the item. He was mortified no one had shown up and immediately procured the needed item, apologizing over and over. On the rare occasion housekeeping showed up in the morning, they seemed pleasant enough. The hardest working groups with almost everyone being very pleasant were found at the valet station and the bar. Both groups were personable and efficient. The room was clean and the bed was only somewhat uncomfortable.

Dear GrumpyandtheOldLady, Thank you for staying with us during your time in Fort Worth. While we appreciate you letting us know about the friendly service you received from our housekeeping associates, we sincerely apologize for the lack of attentiveness shown by our front desk staff. Rest assured that this issue has been addressed with our team and will not be repeated. We also regret your disappointment that breakfast was not inclusive for all and that you were unaware of this policy at the time of making your reservation. With that being said, we appreciate your positive comments and are grateful for your patience. Thank you again for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We hope to welcome you back soon. Stayed there for family weekend at TCU. Rooms were modern, nice and clean. Location was great as it was surrounded by restaurants. Lobby was on the second floor which was a little strange but eve later opens right to front fest. Check in was easy and efficient.
Things I’d change is the hotel bar didn’t open til 5 so everyone that was traveling all day and just want a quick drink we’re told they open at 5. They had a bartender behind the bar but just kept telling one customer after another to come back at 5. Not really customer satisfying.
The other strange thing is they put out a continental breakfast in the morning. Coffee, fruit, toast, juice. In my experience those are always complimentary as most people just want to grab and get their day going. It’s not a resort you’re just gonna hang out all morning it’s a city hotel. Watched as the waitress/worker came out and started charging in everyone $14 for what they ate. I just went with it as we had 2 coffees and a banana. Looked around and didn’t see any menus or signs saying you had to pay. A lot of the customers were mad. Come to think of it I never really had a satisfying interaction with a worker.

The AC Marriott, Downtown Fort Worth was a very bad experience and in our case, very unsanitary. It was the worst representation of a property that we have encountered in our hundreds of Marriott stays (we are Lifetime members). And we are not hotel snobs….a great hotel can be any range of “star” category with good leadership.
The problem was a serious sanitation deficiency. The short version of this is that the toilets in the rooms (yes, rooms) were not functional and left us in a space full of feces and urine particles and smell. When we politely reported the issue to the staff they were aloof and dismissive. The front desk had many stories about how they responded but we were still left with a toilet that would not flush and no offer of a new room. The first day it took 5 hours for them to come to the room. In fact, their “solution” was to leave a plunger outside our door. Rather than copping up to the toilet not working, the front desk rudely projected on to us that we did not understand how toilets worked. When we (politely) approached the manager he “toilet-splained” us as to why it was not their fault and that we did not understand how toilets worked (seriously?). We could not take it and requested (demanded is more accurate) a different room which was yet another failure to flush. We had enough at that point and escaped to the wonderful Marriott Signature hotel across the street (awesome place BTW).
The front desk initially mixed up our toilet complaint with another room leading us to suspect something more may be happening. I genuinely think that the facility has a chronic toilet malfunction problem. We let the local health department know about our concern and they sent out an inspector. The inspector told us that when she went to the FIRST room that we complained about and the toilet was still clogged, filthy and that the room smelled of urine and waste. She waited until the hotel fixed the problem and they gave her some kind of “must be a q tip in the pipes” story. This was her objective report back to us and confirmed our decision to leave. She said that a hotel customer has a right to a functioning toilet !!
I asked for a credit for the night we checked out late due to bad toilets but they didn’t care and charged us anyhow.
It is unfortunate to have to write this kind of review however, this was such a bad experience that it needed to be shared

Nice hotel with modern decor and reasonably priced. The room was clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The black-out curtains do their job well. Nice tv. Room safe. Small closet space with a couple of drawers, but more than adequate for a 1 or 2 day stay. Excellent location in downtown Ft. Worth, within walking distance of so many restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel only offers valet parking, but even with that cost it's less expensive than comparable hotels. The bar and bartenders are great. There is a nice outdoor balcony off the bar. Drinks were surprisingly not overpriced. I'll go back.

I’ve stayed at all the Marriott chain hotels in downtown Fort Worth and this is the only one I can recommend to a business traveler.
They provide breakfast vouchers if you have elite status , and the breakfast is decent if light. But at least I can get some fruit, coffee and limited food.
The room is minimal but nice, the bed fairly comfy and the thermostat allows the room to be cool enough to sleep. This is alarming rare these days.
The gym here is not worth using but the trinity trails around Fort Worth are amazing for a run, I haven’t missed having a good gym yet. (Renaissance has a good gym but everything else is awful)
They make the bed ands clean the room every day without me asking. Every other hotel I had to “opt in” ie every other hotel was cheap scum
Finally the staff is friendly and thanks me for my loyalty. Front desk have been pretty rude at just about every other hotel in the area.
This is the place to stay in Fort Worth if you are a Marriott loyalist. That’s all. It’s not a resort but it’s the best in town.

Spacious and inviting second floor check-in and sitting areas as well as bar and patio. Rooms are very nice, clean and modern. Great location near everything downtown Fort Worth. Breakfast was one of the best and we have stayed at some great Marriott resorts and this was as good. We are Dallasites that do staycations and this has been one of our funnest. Bike share bikes very accessible and one can ride north to Stockyards or south along the Trinity River for miles and miles. We will be back soon and this will be our go to hotel. Very friendly staff from the valet, to check-in, and at bar and breakfast.

I stay at hotels 17 days per month. This hotel is not for someone that needs quiet and rest. The street noise is tremendously loud on any level from the front or back side of hotel. I had to be moved three times because the air did not work. I can hear people in next room attend to business I don’t want to hear and people walking above me. If you want a hotel that’s close by everything downtown and don’t need the rest or quiet, that looks progressive then perhaps you might enjoy this place.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to share feedback regarding your most recent stay. We are surprised to hear that you experienced such noise. We are a new build with concrete between floors, and the way our hotel is built we are next to a building which would only allow noise from if any from one street. We are very sorry to hear you were unable to rest and hope that you will try another Marriott brand in the future.
