The hotel has been renovated and a lovely way, it is an a fabulous location near Sundance Square, the rooms are extremely comfortable, with fabulous mattresses pillows and lovely bedding and robes. Our difficulty was that they had just implemented and electronica key system and it took them forever to get us situated where we were able to go to our rooms. Once we got past that our stay was fantastic and well worth the price, which was more reasonable than any other hotels in the downtown area. I would return

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Ashton Hotel. Great, friendly staff and an added plus was on Friday night we enjoyed wine and appetizer service and great complimentary coffee in the morning. The ambiance was delightful!

First, let me start out by saying this was our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary celebration.
To start things off, the whirlpool bath in the room was not working, which was why we chose this specific room in the first place. When checking out I mentioned this to the front desk personnel, who could not have cared less. I told her we had specifically paid MORE for the room because it advertised that feature. Cricket noise.
Secondly, we were jolted awake by an unsolicited wake-up call at 7 a.m. When I mentioned this, the front desk person replied, "Oh yeah, there were several others who had that happen too." Well, the fact that others suffered the same fate…that makes me feel so much better. Not.
Lastly, we had an appalling experience retrieving our vehicle. Initially we were told that it would be at least a half hour to get our car. Well, okay, there was only the one attendant and he seemed to be rather frazzled. We waited 20 minutes for our car, finally the attendant told us we might want to go down the street a few blocks to the Hilton as they were parking cars of the Ashton guests at that location, and they could help get our car sooner because he thought he would be at least an additional half hour getting ours. We walked down to the Hilton and stood in the cold for 20 to 25 minutes until I tell my husband that I am walking back to the Ashton at least I can sit indoors and not freeze to death while waiting for the car. No one ever helped us. We wound up returning to the Ashton only to discover that our car keys had been lost and at which point they began asking for a description of our vehicle. At this point I was nearing tears. When our car was finally returned the surly valet had a minor fit when my husband declined to give him a tip. I mean, really? You are rude, non-responsive, apparently incompetent, and then expect a tip?
When we were leaving the young woman at the front desk apologized for the absolute disaster of a stay and said that she would have the manager contact us later that day to try to make the experience right. I told her that we would really appreciate a call. That was a Sunday morning, it has been three days since this happened. Any guesses? Yep, no call. No email…No comment.
I completely understand that a couple’s anniversary may not be a big deal to a business establishment, but it really was a special milestone to us. I also expected a level of excellence and service at an establishment of this caliber, or should I say the “purported” caliber. Never again! If I am hoping for quality, I will go to the Omni or even the faded albeit service-oriented Renaissance. I seldom write reviews and certainly try not to dwell on a negative experience, however, I am hoping I can save someone else some grief and incredible disappointment over a spoiled special event.

The Ashton is a old motel not worth 300+ per night the rooms are small and have little amenities.
I do not recommend this hotel
A touch of Southern whorish rooms bathtub in the actual bedroom.
Valet is 30+ per day
The only plus is that you’re downtown Fort Worth in a nice area

Very nice vintage building in downtown Ft. Worth. Room was well appointed and reasonably clean - not spotless - but acceptable. There were a lot of little things that really detracted from what could be a great place to stay. 1) Valet parking was exxxxxtremely slow - like 30 minutes to retrieve your vehicle 2) Tub drain was about as backed up as the valet parking service. 3) Had a single k-cup of coffee in the room 4) No complimentary water - you can buy downstairs for $4 a bottle - I mean c'mon, put a couple of bottles in the room for cryin' out loud 5) No coffee in the lobby in the morning - muffins, yogurt and fruit - but no coffee 6) When we arrived Friday evening, the hotel bar was not running due to lack of a bar tender. Like I said - lot's of little annoyances that would be easy to fix and make this place an excellent value.

Came to Fort Worth for the ballet at the Bass Performance Hall and wanted to stay close by in the Sundance Square area so it’d be walkable. There were a lot of options, but the historic charm of The Ashton really drew me in and it delivered.
The elevators are so pretty which I never thought I’d say, but that just goes to show how little details really elevate a space. The rooms are large and well appointed. They get great natural light from the almost wall high windows. Not the most comfortable beds (but I’m a memory foam girly) and I think the idea of a purified room is a bit ridiculous yet overall very nice…especially the bathrooms.
Had afternoon tea in their tea room while I was there which was definitely worth it. They were able to accommodated my vegetarianism beautifully (even switching the Caesar salad dressing b/c of the anchovies). The chef did a brilliant job adapting their seasonal menu. He made some kind of mushroom bun which was really good. And my server, Anabel, was incredibly attentive.

We stayed at The Ashton the first weekend in December. We spent our wedding night there in July 2002 and have stayed there several times over the years and it has always been an upscale property.
We arrived on a Friday evening to drop off our luggage before meeting friends for dinner. There was only one person in charge of valet (the entire weekend). When we return from dinner there was no one in sight. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to put our car up for the night. Our bathroom only had two bath towels. No hand towels and was visibly dirty. The next morning we waited 45 minutes for our car and we were late for the event we came to town for. We didn’t return to the hotel until 9 pm that evening and our room had never been serviced. So sorry that this property has fallen so far. Sadly we

We arrived around 11:15 pm. We’d already called earlier in the day to let them know we’d be checking in late. Pulled up to the valet, no one was there. Waited 20 minutes in the lobby calling the front desk and corporate only to find the front desk guy had fallen into a DEEP sleep behind the partitions of the front desk. Get into our room and the refrigerator was unplugged, never did figure out how to get the “smart fridge” to cool. The sink had no cold water running, only hot. The restaurant is closed and no idea where the hotel bar would be but it was listed on the website. The mattresses had big indentations. The best I can say is it was pretty, had a good a/c, and was in a good location. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Our check in was a bit strange as there was no one on duty at 2:45 pm. After waiting 20 minutes we eventually got our room assignment. Our room layout was very nice. Clean, nice view. We found out very soon we had no hot water in our shower. We called down for 2 days on three separate occasions and were told "maintenance" would check on it. After 4 days of no hot water, I called the front desk again and spoke with Rodney. I begged of him that this stinky body needed a hot shower for New Year's eve celebrations. He made arrangements, which I will not divulge due to a sold-out hotel, to get me a steamy hot shower. I'm really disappointed that my first 3 calls were dismissed. As if asking for hot water is way too much. Rodney...he went to all lengths to help me. The Ashton should be very appreciative of this employee.

Hello, no they don't unfortunately, but you can bring your own Fire Stick, or something like that and can get all of the movies and stations you normally watch at the hotel. Hope that helps.
No, it does not. However, there are a lot of dining and bars within walking distance.
