The Springhill Suites Fort Worth Historic Stockyards is applauded for its prime location near the Stockyards and its beautifully decorated ambiance, complete with modern sensor lighting. While the rooftop dining and variety at breakfast are popular among guests, issues with hot water and infrequent housekeeping have been points of contention.
The rooms are acknowledged for their cleanliness and space, but the perceived value is diminished for some due to high costs and limited perks. Reviews are mixed on service, with both commendations for staff friendliness and criticisms of slow response times.

Detailed Reviews
This was our first visit to the Stockyards and we chose this beautiful new hotel for our 2 night visit. They were still waiting on their sign so we weren’t sure we were in the right place until we actually got inside and asked. We stayed in a King suite that was large and room. We had an even # room that over looked the parking lot in back. If you want a Main St. view, ask for an odd number. The bed was comfy, the room spacious, the bathroom large, and the room included a mini fridge and microwave. The included breakfast was fabulous. In addition to standard fare, they had fresh fruit that changed daily, flavored coffee creamers and Greek yogurt! They had several people helping with breakfast so there was always plenty.
The pool was outside and the water was freezing, but once it warms up, this will be a great space!
The shower dial had a digital reading the temp- nice touch! Beware with little ones, though b/c it got up really hot! The bathroom had automatic lights that turned on with motion. This was nice until it was the middle of the night and you didn’t want it super bright. The bathroom door is a barn door style. There was a lock inside, but it doesn’t seal around the edges allowing a view from the side. Not a problem for us, but for families or friends, this might be a problem.
Overall, we could not have had a better stay and hope to return soon!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We are delighted to know you were able to take advantage of more than a handful of our amenities! We hope you'll be able to make a trip back to us now that we've worked out several of our opening kinks, from having our sign to even removing the automatic motion lights! We can't wait to see you again soon!

During an extended trip through California and Texas, my wife and I stayed five nights at the SpringHill Suites in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Of all the Marriott properties where we stayed this was by far our favorite.
The building and premises are all in outstanding condition and maintained to Class A standards. Every employee that we encountered was friendly and geniune. We enjoyed true Texan hospitality.
Each morning, we exercised in the Fitness center on the LifeCycle equipment and also used the free weights. The pool area was closed but looked nice when weather is warmer.
The free breakfast was really a highlight. Each morning, the hot breakfast items were different. From eggs, to waffles, bacon, sausage, fritattas, quiche, etc. Also available was always yogurt with various toppings and fixings, fresh fruit, oatmeals, juices, milks, bagels and other breads and it seems like more that I am forgetting. The breakfast service was staffed by two to three attendents the entire time to make sure that nothing ran low and that all guest felt serviced and were happy. It felt like a high end buffet at a country club.
We used the guest laundry to do a couple loads...nice and easy and saved a trip.
The parking lot was easy in and out with a paper tag that scanned at the gate...and it was cheaper per day than most of the other nearby hotels.
Our room was very nice but the furniture wasn't a comfy as could have been. The chairs sofa were a little stiff but we made it fine enough. The view was to the west over the parking lot but still good with us.
I highly recommend the SpringHill Suites in the Stockyards. A short walk from Billy Bobs and even closer to the White Elephant and the rest of the fun on Exchange.

This is a great hotel if you are going to the Stockyards. We stayed on a Saturday night and loved this hotel. The ladies at check in were very friendly. There was an issue with the key programmer while she was doing it, and we had to go back down to get keys programmed again. Once in the room, the toilet seat was lose and a towel rack fell off the wall. These items were fixed before we got back to our room later that night. The room itself was very nice and clean. Huge bathroom. My son had his space and we had ours, it is just separated by a desk with a sliding glass, so not total privacy in either space. There is a shared TV. The location is great, at the end of the shops, but very close to Exchange Street. There was a bar in the lobby which was very popular. They were also serving breakfast on Sunday, but we did not eat there, as we were going to have an early lunch. We self parked at the lot at the hotel for $10 and was able to leave our car in the lot all day Sunday until we were ready to leave. This was definitely a plus. As we were checking out, my husband needed a soft drink to take medication and there was no one at the front desk, he finally realized that she was fixing coffee for someone at the bar and it took quite a long time. All in all - great location, great hotel! Would definitely stay here again.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and nice! We almost felt like we were at Disney World. Jasmine L. at breakfast was so personable every morning. Not only was the breakfast great, but she built a relationship with us every morning. We brought our own food and wine on the rooftop patio and the staff inside the restaurant checked on us anyway and talked to us like we were old friends. The front desk staff in the morning and at night were sweet and cheery every single time we saw them. One of the ladies cleaning the rooms insisted on helping my friend with her luggage while we were leaving. Location is fabulous! We had a great week! We were there for a convention at the convention center, but it was mostly like a girls trip. :)

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times since it opened. Extremely clean, great location, secured parking and excellent staff! Brochelle, at the front desk, is AMAZING! Always has a smile on her face and a pleasant attitude. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Housekeeping staff are respectful of late morning sleepers. This is by far our favorite hotel! A short walk to Billy Bob’s, the stockyards or Lonesome Dove. The restaurant balcony upstairs provides a great view of the city. This hotel does not disappoint.

This hotel is a step above your typical Springhill Suites. It is located right near the epicenter of the Stockyards district (Exchange and Main Sts.). Totally walkable in 3 minutes to everything you'd like to see here in Ft. Worth. There is a bar in the lobby which is open in the evenings and a really great restaurant on the roof (open all year round) which serves Spanish-style food, tapas etc. We ate there both nights we stayed and enjoyed the food each night. There is a full buffet breakfast each morning and the coffee is pretty decent. Small market in the lobby which sells snacks and does sell some alcohol (beer/wine). Mini fridge, microwave, and rudimentary coffee maker in each room. Self parking or valet is available. The lobby is decorated really nicely; again, this is a step up from your typical Springhill in that regard.
Drawbacks I found: Marriott now only offers housekeeping on every third night of your stay, which I think is ridiculous, and this kind of nickle and dimeing is leading to a move from Marriott to Hilton properties for our family. The rooms feel small to me and are quite dark. We stayed in a queen/queen room and there was a sofa bed, but apparently the king rooms don't offer sofa beds (at least that's what the front desk told me, even though the Bonvoy app indicates differently). I did not find the front desk associates particularly helpful when I asked about an upgrade (which I am entitled to as a platinum member) and they also did not volunteer the information about housekeeping, so we were unpleasantly surprised to return home and find our room had not been cleaned. If you ask me, this is something Marriott should reverse quickly, because other hotel chains have not followed suit after returning to normal after Covid. In fact, Marriott seems to continue to use Covid as a reason to short on service like this.
In sum, this is a nice place to stay as long as you are aware about the housekeeping and that they don't offer upgrades as they should (or, at least, as promised to Bonvoy members).

Very comfortable and clean. Love the Paul Mitchell bath products. one small negative is only one small trashcan for the entire room. No trash can anywhere in the bathroom and that is necessary. Beds are very comfortable and layout of the room is very functional. Plenty of charging options for electronics and a very nice desk area. Balcony was fabulous and with great views of the Stockyards. The reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because Marriott insists on charging a incidental fee up front of $30. They refund it bake to the credit card after check out and then have the nerve to tell me it will take 3-5 business days to credit back to my card.

Hi Tessa, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Worth Historic Stockyards. We are delighted to know that you had a great experience. I'd love to know what room you are in as all of our bathrooms should have a trashcan next to the toilet. Once we check you out of our system, we release the incidental funds, however, the reason for the delay is how quickly the bank can process it back to you. We hope to see back when returning to Fort Worth.

This property is everything that Texas is known for. Amazing hospitality, completely gorgeous rooms and property, and folks that will go out of their way to give you a hand.
I travel a LOT for work, so brand loyalty is important. (admit it! We all check our point balances!) My experience here will have me switching to Marriott's. Every possible tiny little comfort or convenience has been thought of, and is either available upon request or already in the room.
Then there's the staff. Be it directions or a decent drink? They're there for you. Simply not enough nice things to say about this place.

Spring Hill Suites was a great experience for a girlfriend getaway. We chose it for location and price but will return because of service and amenities. One of our party had a couple of special requests, and Brechelle took care of them instantly and with a smile. She was often at the front desk as we wandered in and out, and we felt like we made a friend. That kind of service and warmth is unusual at today’s chain hotels. The property is fresh and modern, super clean, and had breakfast options that were a notch above other “breakfast included” places. Location across Main from Stockyards was fun, without crowds and noise, and Atico on top floor was great for drinks, tapas, and views.

This was a Stockyards weekend for a friend’s birthday. It started at checkin getting the 3 couples all checked in with separate 1 night reservations over 2 nights. Brechelle Larkins at the Front Desk handled it with ease, a lot of enthusiasm, professionalism, and serious empathy toward our large group. I am just getting back into business travel and Marriott seems to have kept or built a great team at this property. Brechelle was so friendly and full of energy as she saw us over the two days as we went in and out of the lobby numerous times. She still remembered my name, think how that makes your guests feel! We had great rooms, new and clean, with cool views. The Atico Roof Top Bar had great food and drinks, staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The pool was fun one afternoon with a lot of fun tourists in town. Breakfast was really fresh, the lobby bar bartender dealt with us a lot and she was always friendly. Overall we’ll be back a couple more times this year as The Stockyards is a fun staycation in DFW.
