Detailed Reviews
Checkin was good. The girl on the desk was nice. The place was in a quiet location. Good size room, clean and tidy. Good value for money. No Breakfast, but that was no big deal. Lucky to have ground floor so cases easy to take in and out.

I got the news while I was in Kansas that my daughter was in labor with her first child. I drove to Ft Worth as quickly as possible and needed to find a hotel where I could stay for a couple nights.
I arrived at 6am at the Candlewood Suites. The front desk wasn't open yet so I started to make a reservation at a computer terminal in the lobby. In the middle of making my reservation I heard someone opening the front desk. I asked the gal if she could help me or if she wanted me to just finish up using the computer. She very graciously offered to help me.
While making my reservation for me, she was also very cognizant of other patrons coming and going and made sure to speak to all of them. She got me set up in a nice suite for 2 nights and didn't make me wait until noon to check in which was a HUGE relief as I had been awake for about 30 straight hours.
The room was nice, roomy, and had everything I needed for a very comfortable 2 night stay. The only issue at all was that I couldn't get the bedroom tv to work. In this instance it wasn't a big deal since all I wanted to do was sleep and then head back to the hospital to be with my daughter and granddaughter. The living room tv worked just fine. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised since the cost of the suite was very reasonable.
Since the Candlewood was near Joe's Pizza and Pasta and since they took great care of me, I will definitely be staying there again when I return to Ft Worth.

Stayed here for business for a few days. I liked being able to get fresh groceries from nearby store and cook my own meals, saved money and ate healthy. This property is not near any attractions or anything of interest, it worked for me for where I needed to go in this general DFW area and the cost was reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Behind the hotel is a park with a short walking trail and pond, it was nice to drink a cup of coffee in the lounge area then walk a bit in the nice weather in the evening in the park.

I work nights. That means I sleep days. Guests have to let themselves in the front door with their key overnight. Both nights that I stayed I had trouble accessing the door with my card. Annoying, yes. Reason to hate a hotel forever? No.
What is incredibly annoying, however, is when you use not one, but BOTH door signs saying you don’t want room service and they still knock on your door until you answer. What does a guest have to do to refuse room service so they can sleep? Good grief.
The room was serviceable and clean. The bathroom has bottles installed on the walls of shampoo and such. A kitchenette is also conveniently available.

I feel bad for doing this review, but I feel something must be said. We come to this area every year to visit family who live down the road, usually for weeks at a time so Candlewood has always been an affordable and practical choice. Last year we noticed the rooms weren't as clean and the service wasn't as good as prior years. We decided to give it another chance thinking a lot can happen in a year. We ended up getting into town a day earlier and Candlewood was actually quite accommodating in that matter. However, no one was ever at the desk unless you called a phone to find them, you had to bring your dirty towels to the front desk to exchange them for clean ones, the room was dusty and not very thoroughly cleaned, the carpets in the hallway weren't vacuumed, the front lobby had a very powerful odor, the cabinets in the kitchen were falling off their hinges, the bathtub fixtures were loose, the elevator railings were loose, the list could go on and on. Those things didn't bother me too nuch- until the last night; when I took the garbage bag out of the trash can to add more garbage to it. I found a needle (I'm assuming used but I didn't get too close) along with other garbage in the bottom of the trash can, under what was a clean garbage bag. That was the last straw for me. I questioned how clean everything else was if they didn't even bother emptying the trash can from the last guest. We immediately took pics and went downstairs to talk to the front desk clerk who agreed things were getting bad around there and said the manager would be there between 8-9 am and that he would give her the heads up (this was like 10 pm). When we went down to check out the next morning, conviently the manager was doing a shuttle run. The front desk clerk seemed unapologetic and basically brushed off the complaints we had, stating she would have the manager contact us when she got back. We still haven't heard from her.
Candlewood has lost a long time guest.

We travel for work & when we cannot take our camper we always search for the closest Candlewood. We have never been disappointed, Until now. We like the kitchenette because it allows our family to eat here instead of purchasing take out. Many kitchen item are missing. The couch is stained with easy to clean spots. And my babys knees were so dirty after crawling around for an hour or two last night. We had to switch rooms immediately because the toilet was backed up and wouldnt flush. When i tried to call the front desk both phones wouldnt work lol I find myself hoping we arent here long. If we are we may find a different place to lay our heads. The front desk people were nice.

We stayed at this location for three months. I cant begin to tell you how great is is. For long term accomodations this is the place to go. If your fortunate during your stay you will meet one of the most amazing people. Jessica. She was always polite and respectful. She is very knowledgeable about her hotel. If you need anything during day or night she will do what ever to ensure you get what you need. And with a SMILE. ALL hotels should model after her. Her customer service skills are above and beyond what one would expect. This company has found a real treasure in hiring Jessica. Don't let her go and give that gal a raise. She deserves it!!! Gina

First of all there was food left in the fridge from previous customer. the toilet was old and nasty. The room smelled bad. There was only two towels the tv was old and did not show clear. They charged an extra hundred dollars the night I went in there they said it was to be put on hold. I would not recommend anyone to stay there there was mold all over the bathroom.

Absolutely horrible! Worst experience and hotel. And this is from someone who gives everyone the benefit of doubt. Had to rent a room across the street at Home 2 suites because no employees were working to check me in and they still charged my card. Never again! Do yourself a favor and stay at Home 2 Suites. They were wonderful and the continental breakfast is absolutely delicious.

I was greeted by Bruce, who was gracious and kind. The room I stayed in was delightful, so cozy, and comfortable. My room was quiet, and the bed was the most comfortable. Much effort is put into maintaining the grounds and the rooms at the facility. Definitely, I would return.
