Let's Begin: Hotel front desk clerk at check in was not helpful in assisting me to understand valet which I had accidentally paid for thinking that I was just paying to park overnight in a garage and that I will park the car myself. The room was very nice looking , No exciting view of the city on 11th floor, Look old such as chips in paint and door to room but I Felt that it was properly clean and the furniture looked very nice. Short Walking distance to restaurants and At&T entertainment area where are you can purchase drinks from an outdoor bar and then they do have a few restaurants in the area. It was very difficult to get on a street to where I was on the right side of the street to valet park. So I first went around the corner and got out of my car and the valet employee was not there but up on the sidewalk. I waited a couple of minutes and I was not approached it was very cold outside so I got into my car and try to again park directly on the street on the side of the street where the valet parking employee was. The area around this hotel has a lot of construction going on they can be a little bit confusing. Finally I park my car and the employee walks up not in a very friendly way and I explain to him that I would like my car parked and he's like "OK" and I tell him that I had already paid for and he asked me what was my room number he was not polite by doing as he was not doing this with the smile or any type of very good customer service whatsoever ever. It was kind of like he was looking at me like I'm tired of dealing with people who think they are uppity and which I was not behaving up any in any type of way. I then ask him if I can just park my own car and he was like "hold up hold up hold , let me explain something " I did not like his tone of voice and furthermore the type of person that I am especially during this pandemic I don't want anybody unnecessarily in my car I don't want their germs on my steering wheel or any of that so I just honestly told him that I would like to park my own car I because I don't want anyone in my car when I paid I told him I thought I was just paying to park my own car and that I did not need valet. I recently was in a hotel and Tampa about two weeks ago and I had to pay about $35 to park in their parking garage I was responsible for getting my own car going in and out of the garage this is what I thought I was paying for when I paid on the website. The problem wasnt that I paid $30 the problem was that from the start I just wanted to park the car myself. Any way I have to park in the car and going to the garage we go to our room and change our clothes only to come downstairs hearing him talk about us to the front desk employees. First, this hotel has valet??? Are you kidding me? Your staff is extremely ghetto ( This is the behavior they displayed) . I understand hiring people to give them a chance, thats great!!! But please hire them and train them how to behave and give better customer service. I might as well had been in the hood with the customer service I received from your front desk and valet. I didn't know who valet was because he looked like he worked at a car wash and greeted us as if we were at a tire shop. Valet parking? Orient your employees on the importance of appearance. …
Apart from having to pay for parking. This hotel was nice and compact. I didn't receive a city view window, but the room itself had enough decor to keep me entertained. Perfect for a nice relaxing getaway without to much glam. Would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fantastic. Staff were so friendly and helpful, they made my holiday. Breakfast was delicious and the staff took so much care they are my extended family. Can’t wait to go back, I really didn’t want to leave.
My brother and I stopped here on a road trip through the southwest. I felt the regular 2 queen guest room to be a little small compared to the Hotel Indigos I have stay at in the past. The hotel is historic, so I understand that factors in. Other than the size being a little cramped, the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The overnight valet is $31 per night and you have in/out privileges with that. No vending on site, so you have to pay the jacked up hotel prices for drinks and snacks in the lobby.
At the restaurant, as I write. Mikey got irritated and left after 1hr. No service for us, "the VIPs" we're served and we just sat. I am still hungry but guess I have no recourse. Finishing my wine and heading up. No dinner so no review. Made wrong choice, not VIP.
