Yes, for real. Times are good and too often, mainstream brands who claim to be in this strata I feel - are basically just a courtyard with larger lobby with services dumbed down. Not here. Omni Dallas is a true, luxury business hotel. Does that mean Four Seasons - no - and they don't claim that but this location easily puts many Marriotts and Westins to shame in my never to be so humble opinion. I just returned today....and for you, my Dear Reader, I thought to pen my thoughts while they are still fresh but bottom line, Upscale, Thoughtful, Comfortable. At the end I will write a few minor suggestions but not to complain - rather, out of respect that this hotel aims to excel.

Entrance
************
Very clearly marked. Plenty of room for cars to pull up, load, unload.

Lobby
*********
It is a convention hotel so inded there will be large groups and it can gt load but nevertheless it is lovely. Bright enough, lovely rich color schemes......modern WITHOUT being cold. Seriously, the world is becoming one big impersonal QR code hence I wished to point out that there- modern is also warm and inviting.

Greeting
************
All front desk I saw were efficient, and genuinely friendly. I was assisted by a fellow whose name started with "Q" and overall he was affable and efficient. He made small talk, offered water, and gave clear directions. More on this at the bottom.

Elevators
************
Pretty quick. No worries.

Room
*******
1st off, the doors don't "SLAM" shut. Big Points for being thoughtful! So many pretending to be 4-star hotels let the doors just slam and you hear it all day and night but not here, and I appreciate it .

Sufficient lighting, attractive fixtures, plenty of room. Shower had room for 2 people - but nobody in their right mind would ever join me in there anyways. I feel the shower pressure *should* be better at a place this caliber. Yes- I get enviro concerns but then I question why in the convention hall people had to don sweaters because they blast the A/C. A bit more water pressure would be good. Upscale toiletries are provided.

The only noise I heard in the room is of course people walking by and talking loud in the halls but not once did I hear noise or talking from rooms next to mine and I great appreciate that.

It was 108 degrees in Texas and I feel the A/C kept up in my room.....again, thoughtfulness. It actually kept the room cool.

Staying with the theme - the room was modern but cozy at the same time. The sofa and bed were very comfortable and overall the atmosphere in my room was a pleasure.

Room Service
******************
. It's not the old days of wheeling tables into the room but at least this amenity is available and I gotta say, I'm pretty picky with food and I was content with this. They bring it in a bag....but the food is nicely packed in large covered trays. I really loved the Chicken Wings. I ordered Caesar salad both times and both times was pleased with it. The Wings were delivered nice and hot - -and then once, warm. Oh: a REAL person takes the order! Thanks, I love that. And each night the guy was friendly and got the order right.....and promptly delivered. There's a delivery charge plus 21% gratuity. Ok fine. BUT....any higher than that - this writer would go Domino's.

Texas Spice (Breakfast)
*******************************
Budget time to get seated....their process is nice -- but can get backed up.

I was very impressed with the buffet. Juice was good, coffee hot. Servers attentive. (Frances, was exceptional). There are made to order omelettes and the ingredients are great quality and they were appetizing. I will say - *one* of the omelette ladies isn't the happiest human. I know they are under stress, people belting out orders. I get it. But the lady on the left was consistently nice while the one on the left - just ok. More the bottom on this. Bacon was delicious. And speaking of THOUGHTFUL....the plates are such a lovely size, where you can truly fix yourself a meal. Breakfast potatoes were CRISP! Crisp! They replenished multiple times. So you didn't have to use the potatoes as a floater in the swimming pool later. The fruit selection was good quality and not dumbed down. Cantaloupe, pineapple were served attractively - BUT also fresh and tasty. Generous berries available too. The danishes and pastries were also fresh and moist. I usually don't do the hotel buffets...but this one was a pleasure.

SUGGESTIONS/MINOR ISSUES
****************************************
Live from First World Problems HQ...............

*At check-in. "Q" had trouble with my credit card's chip, I guess it wasn't scanning. I told him it worked fine all day and could he just enter in the number to which he politely said - "our policy is we must scan the chip....do you maybe have another card". Ugh - I was stressing. There was. good deal I was using on that card (Amex Plat) and I had no others. So in another wise great check in---it was a bit stressful on me I felt - for no reason. Finally, "tapping" worked but still....to make someone think they can't used the car for that reason isn't helpful.

*CheckIn- graciously they give a bottled water. Why not ---keep those bottles cold? Your guests are coming in from the heat.....sub consciously, you give them a bottle nice and cold....I think it would be a remarkable first impression. You're providing this already....why not just buy a mini fridge or two?

*Omelette station: Again, woman on the right ....not too nice. Each morning I got egg whites and on my final morning she just said tersely "No Egg Whites". So I go back to my table, wait for the busy server and told her that had I known there's no egg whites at buffet, I wouldn't have gotten buffet. I *wish* I got server's name (middle aged hispanic, bit older)...but she went to check with chef and within minutes was back and told me she'd bring me the egg whites. A manager himself delivered it. So my point is: The staff cares! Management cares! Maybe the unhappy omelette chef lady could be nicely told to behave like the other great staffers.

*Room Service: Overall was good. BUT - if there's hot food and also a salad - please put the salad in a separate bag, otherwise the salad gets a bit lukewarm when I am sure it wa fresh and cold when prepared. Again - not a biggie, just an extra bag.

*Texas Spice Breakfast and Lunch check-in process. Ok, there's conferences. Throngs of people come to the line at same time. I get it, and I concede this isn't a fast food joint. And each morning the hostess was very friendly.....they'd take your info, and when ready personally escort you to a table.....again it's a lovely, upscale process. BUT....if we know it's a choke point, and we know the waits get long...... I really hope they consider adding an extra hostess, or doing something to speed that up. Again - such a wonderful hotel.......this is not a major thing to fix...and could really enhance the breakfast or lunch dining experience.

Summary
************

Overall, a pleasure to rate this place positive. In all honesty when I'm in Dallas next---as long as the rates are still fair--I wouldn't even check another hotel I would just boom Omni Dallas.

So with that my Dear Friends, it is time for your lowly writer to bid you adieu (that's French) and whether you are Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian, Vegetarian, Pescatarian, or none of the above, I wish us all safe travels and let's remember - - hey man, we're traveling. Overall, life is good. Take a breath and smile.

My stay at the Omni Dallas was perfect! From booking the online reservation until the time we checked out. Oscar was amazing, answering every question that I had and making sure my fiancé and I had a great stay! You’re awesome Oscar. Upon check-in, Zack was welcoming and very knowledgeable. Our room was on the 23rd floor and the view was great.. The Texas Spice staff were SUPER nice, the food was yummy, but those chocolate chip cookies were DELICIOUS!! We also saw staff members cleaning frequently touched places, like the elevators doors, buttons, and counters. The pool was so relaxing and the view was amazing. Like I stated above, my stay was perfect and we’ll be back in about two weeks to experience this Omni again.

This was my first time in Dallas and my first time at an Omni hotel. I was booked to stay at another hotel for 3 nights but my plans changed and I was arriving a day earlier than scheduled, so I booked Omni for my first night mainly because of the location and the pool. Upon arrival I was impressed at how large the lobby and public spaces are, very open and accommodating. Later I was told how the hotel hosts many large groups and is connected directly to the convention center.

Kaylee at the front desk gave me a very warm and friendly greeting when I arrived on Thursday evening. When I was contemplating upgrading to a larger room with a soaking tub I talked with the manager Peter. Having worked in hotels for two decades in NYC I am happy to report that Peter is the cream of the crop when it comes to customer service, efficiency, and understanding guest needs. It was the conversation I had with him that helped me decide to upgrade and it also set the tone for my entire stay. Because of his suggestions and kindness I ended up canceling my stay at the other hotel and staying at Omni for all four nights. Thank goodness they had availability!

The room was really terrific! It is on the end of the building and has rounded floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, and the bathroom is glamorous and the tub is big and has a great view! I couldn't have been happier.

It seems that everyone here knows what they are doing and can accommodate any request quickly and efficiently. My one complaint is that they do not have regular attendants at the pool deck so things got a bit messy and crowded on a sunny afternoon due to towels, plates, glasses and other refuse being left behind by guests and not cleaned up. Other than that I give this hotel an A++.

I stayed at the Omni in NOVEMBER 2021.
It's now February 2022 and I am still receiving weekly (sometimes multiple daily) texts asking if I want to skip housekeeping, need additional towels, etc. Or they send texts on how to checkout.

HOW SCREWED UP CAN A BUSINESS BE, that they continue to haunt you with unwanted texts for 4 months after you check out?

Shouldn't their system know and realize when you checkout & settle your bill? There is a major disconnect here.

Who ever is managing this system needs to reach into their back pocket, grab their neck & pull their head out.

My week long stay was pleasant and quiet. My room was nicely appointed with a desk and room safe.

Room lighting was a little too dark to work effectively, but there was always a place downstairs in the lounge to sit.

The coffee shop didn't quite open early enough for convention attendees to grab & go on their way to the convention. 1/2 hour earlier & 2 registers would help thin the long morning lines.

We can unequivocally say that our recent 3 day stay at this hotel was the worst lodging experience we have had in several decades of business travel. The rooms were poorly lit, quite dismal, with terribly uncomfortable bedding and pillows. We did not get a restful night's sleep on any night of our stay which affected our attentiveness and concentration at the conference we were attending. On one morning, I called the front desk at 7:30 AM and spoke to the manager on duty to request housekeeping ASAP as we were hosting an 11:30 AM meeting in one of our rooms. I was informed that housekeeping came on at 8:30 AM and he would be sure it was attended to. We arrived at the room with clients at 11:40 AM to find that the room had not been cleaned. We were extremely embarrassed and had to reschedule the meeting. The rooms were small, dirty and not adequately attended to with towels or toiletries. Housekeeping was not responsive to requests. There were not sufficient outlets for our electronics and the internet connection was extremely slow and continually interrupted even though we paid extra for premium service. Our experience at the Omni Hotel Dallas was horrific from check in to check out. With several other upscale hotels in the area, our future visits to Dallas will not include the Omni!

Beautiful Hotel and super friendly staff. Greeted with a smile and great service as well. Line at check in went quickly and smoothly. My room had a great view of downtown and set up very nicely. My stay was 4 days and each day all soaps and accessories were replaced with new as well as towels. Fitness room was better than most places I have stayed and there is no shortage of good restaurants either attached to or directly across the street. The night were very quiet and you able to get a good night of sleep in the super comfortable beds. Cleanliness was also top fantastic. Check out was as smooth as check in and can be done from your room.
this is place I would go back to.

This was my first trip back to the USA since Covid shutdown 22 months ago (March 2020). And this time to attend the Crown Council Annual Event. Over 1000 people were in attendance and the Omni Hotel was magnificent in ensuring our safety at all times.
Check in was easy. I had checked in online but the bellmen and front desk were not prepared for my check in and I had received an e-mail about it but I cannot check e-mail easily while travelling...a text message would have been better.
I had a lovely room on a high floor with a great view.
The room was appointed well. The only thing lacking was hand lotion.
the beds were nice (I had 2 queens and was there on my own) and it was one of the best hotel sleeps I have had.
Wifi was free and fast enough for everything I needed to do (Including downloading some programs to be updated while I was here).
The food at the convention was delicious, well prepared, and served hot enough to be satisfied. The servers were all pleasant, efficient and appropriately masked.

I did need to return to Canada and asked for advice on where to go to get a PCR test for my return to Canada. Regretfully, I was sent to a place that ripped me off. Their online fee for the test was $150 US and when I arrived that price increased to $279 US. I was time pressed and had no other option. The hotel did not apologize or offer to compensate me for their error. Because of the location of this testing facility I had to rent a car adding another $300 US to my expenses.
After I returned to the hotel I found a company online that would have come to the hotel and completed the test for me for only $100 US.
I recommend you research on your own and do not rely on the unreliable information from the hotel.

Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here

Absolutely gorgeous property with multiple onsite restaurants. Room was small but nicely done. Bed reasonably comfortable but terrible pillows!

We had a group of 20 and everyone had stories about poor maid service, missing towels, dirty room, etc.

It's pretty clear they have major problems properly servicing the rooms. Day one bathroom floor not clean. No new towels room never vacuumed and nothing wiped down. Day two again no replacement towels, not vacuumed and garbage never emptied. Day 3 was the best but that's only because I arrived when they were almost done.

One strange thing was the maid's cell phone was on the nightstand plugged into my charger.

Food was definitely the highlight with an amazing breakfast buffet and a fantastic pulled pork sandwich. Too bad they don't know how to clean.

Loved this hotel! Came down from Wichita with my daughter to meet my best friend in Dallas which was the halfway point between she and I. We booked this hotel through hotwire so we got a considerably good deal. The valet were amazing, they would run to the door to open it anytime someone was approaching and it never took more than 2-3 minutes to get our vehicle. They also were unphased when we had them retrieve one car about 5 times in one day. The pool was my favorite part, we spent most of the weekend there. The two drawbacks of the stay were the music at the pool was too quiet (which we remedied with a speaker of our own) and the food/drink at the pool were limited and expensive - we spent about $400. The room was nothing exciting but it was large, clean, and had everything we needed. No complaints there! Will likely return to this hotel next summer. Due to COVID-19, the pool capacity was limited so as long as restrictions are still in place, definitely show up early.

It is a very nice place and service is excellent. They make you pay to park in the parking garage at 23 dollars a day which is ridiculous on top of the you already pay a premium to stay here. Location is close to Dallas Aquarium and lots of things to do being downtown. Rooms are extremely small and not worth the price to me so next time I stay I will upgrade to a bigger room since the premium is not very large. Nice hotel and great customer service just rooms small and parking woes.

I used the gym and the pool in August and loved them both. The gym was quite large and it was very sparsely used. I only used the treadmill as that's my go to when out of town. Not worth my time to figure out all the other machines. There were towels in there, but I can't remember what the water situation was. I'm sure I brought my own bottle, but I'm just not sure if I filled it up there or not. The pool was a total delight, but probably too cold now (but maybe not the hot tub, if it's still open). In August, the view was glorious of Reunion tower, downtown, and the pool temperature was terrific, I didn't even need to go into the hot tub.
