Our park is situated right on the shores of beautiful Lake Moogerah and surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the scenic Rim - everywhere you turn you'll see mountains. Being so close to Brisbane and the Gold Coast makes Lake Moogerah the ideal destination for that weekend getaway. Ideally located just 8 km off the Cunningham highway from Aratula and a short scenic drive to the bustling rural townships of Boonah and Kalbar we also provide the perfect interlude for the weary traveler.

Gorgeous location situated on Lake Moogerah we camped for three nights. The views are spectacular, well visited by day trippers, caravans and boat enthusiasts, however everyone is respectful and it’s a great place to rest. Close to Kalbar where we visited the sunflower festival with friends who came out for the day. Amenities are clean albeit a little aged, they are building a new amenities block which is great news for future visits. I got a surprise when we had a shower that sprayed water out the top at the rose head joint as well as the head causing the dry space to also be wet. Bonus though is the water was warm and great pressure. Service is great, the office has some basic supplies but not foods with short expiration dates like bread and butter, they have to be purchased before you arrive or from Aratulla Markets about 15mins away. Things they do have include bait for fishing, ice, ice creams and drinks, as well as toothbrush, pancake mixes with maple syrup, canned items and 2min noodles and the like. They have kayaks but not yet available to hire, which was disappointing but understandable as they didn’t have a rescue tinny available at the time. There currently isn’t a playground as it is part of a new build improvement. Near by you can buy fire wood and kindling, at Aratulla you can go to the drive up for alcohol and fuel and a few taverns.

We enjoyed a love few days off grid. There wasn't a possibility to swim due to the fact that the dam was under 15% capacity. The surrounding areas was lush and green. Only a matter of time before the dam refils.

Management are rude. Walk around at 10pm telling campers that you must turn off music and you can not talk. They lie about complaints and every camper here I spoke to have had the same experience. Won’t be back

Don’t listen to all the negative c?@!s whinging about : not enough toilets , full bins , noisy groups , dirty toilets , low water etc etc . These people would whinge even if the place was a 5 star hotel , that is their sorry way . These are petty things that is beyond the fault of the team and rectified anyway the next day ..... I have been here many times and choose this place because of its rough and ready feel , THATS CAMPING !!!! That is exactly what I am trying to find coming from Brisbane city. We have stayed both dry and full capacity and enjoy the place equally both times . The place has way too many activities for me as all I want to do is chill , but for those that don’t know it has a rock wall , tall ropes course , kayaking , ping pong , pool tables , music hall , pianos , flying fox , movies ,net ball, tennis etc etc etc . You won’t find these activities at any of the other sites on the lake . As I write this I am looking at this view from my cabin while listening to the native animals . Absolutely mint 👌👌👌👌👌this place is a true diamond thanks to the tireless team lead by Barry and his sometimes his crew of small puppies . You must put on your bucket list and enjoy this secret ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Yes Count the stars .

We went camping at Lake Moogerah Caravan Park for a few nights over our break and we didn’t want to leave! The lake was beautiful - fantastic for Kayaking and we got some great photos of the sunset over the lake in the evenings. The new managers Jess and Ross were awesome - they were so friendly and always available to help us out. The ammenities were everything we needed (toilets, showers, camp kitchen with powerpoints) and there were some nice places to visit nearby as day trips (like Moogerah Dam Wall, Mount Edward climb and the Scenic Rim Brewery). Phone service at the campsite was also very good (for Optus and Telstra).

I stayed at Lake Moogerah Caravan Park for two nights, first week of July, 2020. I had my family and friends with me,a total of 4 adults and 4 children. We had a powered van site and a powered camp site. (Bring a decent length extension lead for the camp site). Both sites were flat and easily accessible. The amenities were close by, with both the shower block and the bbqs being clean and usable. We took our own drinking water. The park is under new management, and the couple working the changeover, were both helpful and friendly. We brought our own fire pit (fire restrictions etc) and our own timber. Enjoyed a couple of great nights under the stars, hiked the nearby Mt Edwards, and generally had a great time. It did get very cold over night as expected, so bring some warm clothes if you are staying during winter.

If you are a photographer, the sunset here is definately worth the visit. Certaibnly turns on the show for our visit. We had a powered site, unfortunately it was a constant thorough fare for other campers, as they walked to the toilets/showers, through our caravan site. The toilets/showers were average. Normally there are 2 blocks across from each other, but one was closed for "reno's". They are just old and very tired, with limited facilities. I think it was only 3-4 toilets and showers. Waterway was very busy with boats, jet ski's, kyaks etc. Very family friendly, there was lots of space....but come Summer i think it would be a very crowded place.

Me and my friends went this park last night and we spent around one hour taking photos. Everything was fine until we prepared to leave the park. A male staff stopped our car and asked us $20 as 'time expired fee'. I was very confused at the time because no staff told us that we had to pay the fee to leave the park in the evening before we entered the park. So I asked him to present paper work or any evidence can prove that we have to pay that money. Then, he started yelling at me: " If you don't pay the money, I'll call the police". At the same time he always stressed to give him cash. My friends in the car were in shock. Finally, in order to leave the place early, I paid him. As a tourist.I have great respect for the local laws and regularities. We just want an explanation, instead of an experience similar to robbery. I will never come back to this place again even the scenery is beautiful.

My powered site actually meant 3 extension cords to the toilet block. No tap. Had to wash dishes at the tap near the toilet. No drinking water. Sloped location, so not ideal for sleeping. Neighbours’ music too loud. Great view though.

a rustic camp ground beside the Moogerah Dan . the ammenities are basic with dam water used for the toilets and showers . The amenities can get messy in the wet , We used our own water for drinking , Tank water for drinking is available but hads to be boiled. The scenery is wonderful for photography and the dam is used for fishing and water sport . The park is undergoing some changes hich will see more camp sites available . An enjoyable place to relax
