Beautiful location. The amenities seemed new, but not the cleanest. The unpowered sites are not numbered, so you just have to find a spot. There is only one sealed road. The rest is just dirt and not maintained, so there are huge holes. Not suitable for 2 WD as you would get stock. It had been raining, which did not help. But the roads should be better maintained. There are lots of huge camps and some noise. Busy lake with lots of water activities.

Great spot been there couple of times but this time around with hot weather, we had to deal with 100000s of housefly in the camp kitchen we can’t sit and eat if we take food out anywhere even the spot where we camped near the lake 1000s of housefly will follow you, not going there again in summer weather ! Anyway amenities was great but housefly spoilt our camping

We had a great relaxing time here at Lake Moogerah Caravan Park, we came of a week and stayed for two, a magic place, great views, friendly staff (Sue and John), and the newish facilities were kept clean, and the area well maintained. Very friendly wildlife, specially the beautiful black Swans. Nice and peaceful during the week, sometimes busy on the weekends, but that was OK too, as I love to see the well behaved younger folk enjoying themselves. We also visited many places around the area, so it's also a great base camp as well.

Wow, what a great camp! From friendly check in with Sue and our amazing lake front camp site. The kids loved the visiting black swans. The amenities were kept spotless all weekend, the camp kitchen had everything you need when camping and was also kept spotless. Rubbish bins were regularly checked and emptied. Thank you, we will be back. Can’t recommend enough.

Do not camp here! The toilets were never cleaned once over the Easter long weekend. Floors were stained which indicated it wasn’t washed down once and the sinks were covered in dead bugs. Bins overflowing. The grass was long and needed mowing. You think you’d do that before a long weekend with lots of people there! The caretaker was very rude and aggressive. We were by the fire talking and laughing past their curfew time of 10pm. He basically came up to us and said that we’d been loud 3 nights in a row (only was there two nights and the night before it rained and everyone was in bed by 9pm). He told us in an aggressive tone that police were on call and we needed to pack up and go to bed. He also said “shut the f*** up” to our neighbours who were just playing charades. There’s no place for aggression or to come at people like that. It really put us off camping there again, considering tha we know we weren’t that loud to be spoken to that way.

Spent a few nights here during the week which I highly recommend: quiet, peaceful, uncrowded. Weekends and school holidays very busy. Whilst they have powered sites, the unpowered areas amongst the rest down near the waterfront are a better option with the lovely overwater aspects. Plenty of birdlife.they have a new amenities block and camp kitchen which are very good: again, on a crowded weekend maybe a little less pleasant. Bom gate at entry and amenities both have coded access so security is reasonably good. Friendly reception. Both Telstra and Optus work well.

Gorgeous location situated on Lake Moogerah we camped for three nights. The views are spectacular, well visited by day trippers, caravans and boat enthusiasts, however everyone is respectful and it’s a great place to rest. Close to Kalbar where we visited the sunflower festival with friends who came out for the day. Amenities are clean albeit a little aged, they are building a new amenities block which is great news for future visits. I got a surprise when we had a shower that sprayed water out the top at the rose head joint as well as the head causing the dry space to also be wet. Bonus though is the water was warm and great pressure. Service is great, the office has some basic supplies but not foods with short expiration dates like bread and butter, they have to be purchased before you arrive or from Aratulla Markets about 15mins away. Things they do have include bait for fishing, ice, ice creams and drinks, as well as toothbrush, pancake mixes with maple syrup, canned items and 2min noodles and the like. They have kayaks but not yet available to hire, which was disappointing but understandable as they didn’t have a rescue tinny available at the time. There currently isn’t a playground as it is part of a new build improvement. Near by you can buy fire wood and kindling, at Aratulla you can go to the drive up for alcohol and fuel and a few taverns.

We enjoyed a love few days off grid. There wasn't a possibility to swim due to the fact that the dam was under 15% capacity. The surrounding areas was lush and green. Only a matter of time before the dam refils.

Management are rude. Walk around at 10pm telling campers that you must turn off music and you can not talk. They lie about complaints and every camper here I spoke to have had the same experience. Won’t be back

Don’t listen to all the negative c?@!s whinging about : not enough toilets , full bins , noisy groups , dirty toilets , low water etc etc . These people would whinge even if the place was a 5 star hotel , that is their sorry way . These are petty things that is beyond the fault of the team and rectified anyway the next day ..... I have been here many times and choose this place because of its rough and ready feel , THATS CAMPING !!!! That is exactly what I am trying to find coming from Brisbane city. We have stayed both dry and full capacity and enjoy the place equally both times . The place has way too many activities for me as all I want to do is chill , but for those that don’t know it has a rock wall , tall ropes course , kayaking , ping pong , pool tables , music hall , pianos , flying fox , movies ,net ball, tennis etc etc etc . You won’t find these activities at any of the other sites on the lake . As I write this I am looking at this view from my cabin while listening to the native animals . Absolutely mint 👌👌👌👌👌this place is a true diamond thanks to the tireless team lead by Barry and his sometimes his crew of small puppies . You must put on your bucket list and enjoy this secret ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Yes Count the stars .
