Lovely old building but nice modern facilities in spacious room. Gorgeous courtyard with flower beds and plenty of seating. 3 course meal was generous and lots of choice. Service was brilliant....especially the fact that one of the gentleman spent nearly half an hour fixing my glasses which I accidentally broke just as I walked in the door ! Lovely setting. Breakfast in the courtyard was generous but no choice of hot food, just given a plate of eggs and bacon (not my favourite) but lots of bread and fruit as well. Really good value, lovely experience and could easily have spent several nights here.

Will return!
Exceptionally clean and comfortable large chalet style guest house in the country but only 20 mins from Mway at Reinosa, just south of Santander.
Super ensuite with good shower, toiletries and plenty of towels.
Good wifi.
Welcoming hosts and extensive menu. Food delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay en route to ferry and shall definitely return to explore the beautiful countryside

We arrived at the hotel at 9.15pm having driven the 1 hour 15 minutes from Santander. We were greeted by the owners who had driven down the lane to guide us in, and helped with our bags into a warm bar with a roaring log fire. There was thick snow with temperatures around -5 degrees, but the hotel is in the most picturesque surroundings was warm and welcoming. The bedroom was beautifully furnished with quirky personal touches, and the breakfast was excellent. A lovely overnight stay and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

This is a lovely old building tucked away in a small mountain village. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a good sized bathroom. Hosts are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a bar area with an outdoor area, and a small homely restaurant. We had a 3 course meal which was very good value for money, and all freshly cooked. I was amazed by the amount of options on offer for such a small place. Breakfast was very good also. Will definitely try and visit again, and this makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

This place is not bad. It is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are spacious. The mattress in our room though could stand to be tossed out for a new one. The biggest disappointment was the food. Dinner was over cooked chicken with soggy french fries. Also a salad with several canned ingredients. Breakfast was very minimal. No cereal, yogurt, or eggs. One croissant and one roll per person. Average is the correct description.

Posada Ormas is an hour’s drive from the Santander ferry, so it makes a good place to stay on arrival and departure.
The hotel was a gentleman’s house and has a impressive coat of arms over the door. It is 500+ years old but has been upgraded with all modern facilities. The old stonework and huge beams together with the furnishings make an ideal blend of ancient and modern.
If this is you first visit to Spain it will definitely give you a taste of the country.
Evening meals (starter, main, sweet and a bottle of wine all for 18 euros) are fab. Beware, the portions are huge.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They love dogs.
It’s a little off the beaten track but well worth the detour.

We stayed here en-route from Santander. Comfortable rooms. Friendly, helpful staff Good food. Apparently very busy November to April when the snow comes as it is only a few kilometers from the ski slopes. Not far off the A67. Really worth a visit.

Easy to find, Ormas is a small place. I can sum up this place in one word "delightful". An extremely well run hotel, clean, tidy and interesting. We arrived late afternoon and had a drink on the wonderful terrace in the sunshine. Located in the foothills of the Picos de Europa, it has a definite mountain air to it. The atmosphere is relaxing and calming, nothing is too much trouble and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We opted for half-board, the evening menu was extensive, with lots of choice... including a "slow child". We asked and the translation had gone slightly off, it was slow cooked young cabra (kid). Superb meal, great service and very reasonable, including a bottle of red wine. Bed and room was comfortable, fresh and extremely clean. Had one of the best nights sleep of our two week trip to Spain. Breakfast was good and included, to our surprise, bacon and eggs. Overall superb and we will definitely be back.

Fabulous place to stay, beautiful setting, the staff are very helpful and friendly. My wife and I had breakfast and evening meal. Extremely good food with a wide choice of menu, great value for money. The hotel is situated not far from Reinosa, and we found it easy to find. We can highly recommend this hotel, and wouldn"t hesitate to return in the future if in the area. Thanks.
