Horrible. We could not even get in the room, four separate door keys would not open the door. Just looking through the window, the room looked unclean. Plus the room was way in the back near the boarded up section of the motel and there were weeds and trash.
In the first room, the door was so difficult to open, it literally had to be kicked; lights in the bathroom did not work; no towels, no TP, dirty shower, dirty floor, dirty drapes. TV TV not working. Gross. 2nd room= no TP, no towels, dirty Qtips on the floor, filthy sink, no pillow cases, no TV. DISGUSTING, if not so tired from driving all day, it'd be out of here, refund or not.
This place is really gross and very unprofessional. They gave us a room that wasn’t even stayable. There was furniture kn the beds the bathrooms were filthy. When we went back down to tell them she acted surprised and didn’t understand why we were leaving. Absolute worst hotel ever. Have yet to receive a refund for the room itself and the deposit. When I arrived they didn’t have any rooms and blamed Priceline and other 3rd parties for over booking them. That’s how we ended up in I guess a storage room. Steer clear.
Checked in upon arriving in Brownwood. Desk clerk was sweet as punch. Very helpful and professional. She gave me my room key and I went to my room. First stop: restroom. I sat down and noticed a hole in the bathtub where the soap dish used to be. Looking around, I noticed the dish was laying in the rim of the tub. I went back up to the office to report it as there was not a phone in the room. She immediately apologized and reassigned me to another room, directly in front of the pool! (How convenient for me). The room was nicer, had carpet instead of plank floors and it was cold which I loved! The bed was comfortable enough but could use more pillows. I wasn’t looking for the Ritz Carlton so this hotel served its purpose. The shower was adequate but it didn’t drain very well so they may want to consider some drain-o .. also, the tv was weird. You had to stand right in front of it (like inches) to change channels. But the pool was awesomely warm and inviting. I enjoyed taking a swim. The advert says there is a hot tub but it’s currently non operational. I didn’t even see one .. there are two side buildings that are not being used and are simply storage . She did say that the property was just bought in May and they are in the midst of renovations. Overall a nice little QUIET hotel. I would stay here again .. …
My daughter, 23, and her boyfriend came to Brownwood to visit their Dad and I. In order to try to keep stress levels down, they booked a room here. Room had been entered when they returned and stuff was missing. Then, someone tried to enter the room about midnight. Thankfully, no one was hurt because that was clearly the intent. Room was filthy. They ended up sleeping in their car at a secure location.
