Take caution before booking this location. The cabin is located off a treacherous road that includes two hairpins turns on steep hills. Two-way toads makes this exceptionally hazardous. The deck and indoor carpeting are worn and tired. The view,TVs and hot tub are all good … but we experienced hornets in the master bath, no hot water and a gas fireplace that was inoperable. There are holes in the deck that need repair. We felt trapped and traumatized and left after one night. We’d never go back, and urge others not to try. Way overpriced and totally disappointing.

We had been looking forward to our stay at brothers cove only to find stained carpets. Mouse traps and fresh mouse poop upon arrival. Assuming the people before us reported issues and the mouse problem was addressed and taken care of. Certainly, if it had not been… management would have notified us. The mouse droppings became worse within our first few days they got into our food it was absolutely disgusting! There was mouse poop on the kitchen chairs. Which probably meant there were mice crawling around where we eat. I called management and they sent Orkin over while we were away for the day. I also mentioned to her that there was a huge carpenter ant problem as well. She said she would address that too. After we arrived back, nothing was changed other than another mouse trap set under the sink. I ended up having to clean the entire cabins mouse droppings, secure all of our food. We didn’t wish to cook or eat there the rest of the week. Mice carry disease! The day prior to our departure I became ill feeling and remained that sick feeling for almost a week. I have to wonder if it was from cleaning up mice feces. I’m sorry to write a negative review… but I reached out to management, sent several emails and have had not a single reply or phone call. Clearly they do not care. Very sad. We will unfortunately not stay at Brothers Cove again or recommend it.…

Our cabin was dirty and had bugs. The wooden counter tops in kitchen are breeding grounds for mold and mildew as well as bacteria and need to be replaced. There was black mold behind the kitchen sink. Only one door on the downstairs bath was operational most of the trip due to a sticking door knob. We found cockroaches in our cabin, the light fixture on the back porch is filled with bugs that have been there for a long time. The door of the fridge can't be used for smaller items as the brackets are missing. Upstairs landing had tons of stains in carpet. 2 posts are missing on back porch which makes it dangerous for small kids. We will NOT be returning to Brothers Cove after going there for many years (over 10 years). The swimming pool was dirty and when the staff came to clean it he was rude to a family about people being in his way. There was a dirty area rug in the family room that needs to be thrown out, not enough linens were provided for the pull out beds. There were dead bugs that clearly had been there for before the cabin was cleaned all over the window ledge in the room with the pool table. Lack of attention to detail, it appeared that they came in and changed the linens and did no other cleaning. There are too many other options in the area to come back here and deal with filth.…

First off had to have maintenance come to cabin TWICE to fix TV because paying over $1000 for not even full 48 hours we didn’t need to have working TV, they had gas turned off to bed room fireplace and we were not allowed to Use indoor fireplace. Even though not warm enough for pool to be open couldn’t enjoy a fire on the cool evenings we had! Cabin did not match pictures on line.. out dated appliances, out dated bedding and upstairs so dusty our allergies were killing us! BUT FINAL PUSH OVER THE EDGE almost 24 hours after our check out.. 8:41 this morning, check out at 10:00am yesterday morning they send me an email saying we were being charged for damages WE DID NOT DO! They have NOT RESPONDED TO MY RETURN EMAILS OR MY CALLS TO TRY TO CLEAR UP THE PROBLEM! They are trying to say that we broke the pool table and from the pool table falling it messed up the floor!! But it took almost 24 hours to notify me!! I should’ve been contacted immediately!! I did final sweep on cabin to make sure nothing was left, I did not leave any mess, washed the dishes and placed all dirty towels in shower for easy pick up and swept the floors!!!! Pool table was on all 4 when I put the cover on it!! I will never NEVER stay or allow anyone I know stay at this place.. I’m fairly local to the cabin area so I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW OF THE SCAM THIS PLACE HAS GOING ON!! As if $1000 wasn’t a bad enough hit for less than 24 HOURS! Plus the cleaning fee that had terrible cleaning!! They stick me with $500 damage fee!! Not going down without a fight over this!!! Like…
