Don’t be fooled by the bright, airy lobby with a fireplace. Once you check in and board the elevator, you are transported to a very different world. The hallways are dark and dirty. During my 3 day stay, the carpets weren’t cleaned at all. The rooms are large but dark. They are also quite worn for a newer hotel. The AC unit was loud, making sleep difficult. The beds were overly soft. The bathroom was large, but poorly cleaned. The rain shower had poor water pressure. I would stay elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My first review ever as I am normally pretty relaxed but just blew my mind. Stay literally next door at the OMNI or the Joseph - around the same price and much better, I only stayed because of my Bonvoy status (which didn’t help with the below). I had friends at both so could do a direct comparison. Where to start with how bad it was. I get a phone call at 1am to tell me that they have put me the wrong room, which I guess is better than someone trying to get in I guess but calling me at 1am to tell me, there must have been a better way. Like maybe put the other person in a different room and sort it out at 9am Breakfast is next door in the other Marriott that is attached to the AC. I ask for fried eggs and was told “we don’t do those, you have to go next door for fried eggs” but there isn’t a breakfast next door in the AC so totally confused as to what that meant. Ate the s rambled eggs which tasted so vile I left them. Housekeeping is on request but you’re not told that on check-in so when I didn’t get my room cleaned on day 2 I was like oh I wonder why. On day 3 I asked the cleaner outside if she could clean my room “no. Ask front desk” and turned around and walked away. I can deal with those minor irritations but whatever you do DO NOT lift up the plug on your sink. My sink (in 1803) wasn’t draining properly (post shave trying to get rid of the gunk) so I lifted mine and it was black with mould. Utterly disgusting. So I placed it in a towel and took to the front desk to show them as no one would believe me. They said “oh, we will send engineering up to deal with that”… how about bleach in there and the shower too. Later that day, I go back. The plug is now hammered back in, still black and guess what… nothings been cleaned…. Do yourself a favour and just avoid staying here.

Hotel is blah… Was okay clean. Room floor was sticky. Staff was mostly pleasant. $300 per night base price plus tax and fees, But they can’t provide housekeeping for a 4 night stay, and then they charge another $50 per night parking. I’ve been to much nicer hotels with much better value. Disappointing stay for the money. Definetly not my first choice if we return to Nashville

Here I am at 1:53 am from my home writing this review. I will be headed to Nashville in a free hours but I am currently searching for a new hotel. These women at the front desk are the RUDEST and MOST UNPROFESSIONAL women I have ever encountered in the HOSPITALITY industry. I called to ensure my room would be secured before I left. I wanted the card charged early, so I would be able to just provide my card for incidentals. The Marriott brand is known for providing teachers a "State Government" rate. To verify that I could use this rate CENTRAL reservations and the FRONT DESK (afternoon staff) told me all I would need is an official id. I spoke with them because I told him I wanted them to charge my card. He stated to call back today and it wouldnt be a problem. So I woke up and noticed it was the day of arrival and decided to call the hotel. The first young lady was extremely nice. BUT APRIL, who is the night manager at AC Marriott in Nashville, TENNESSEE, was the most rude, unprofessional person I have encountered. She told me that I needed to present the government issued id before they charged the room. I said thats fine. I asked if I could email it. She said thats fine but we still arent going to charge it without the government id and a now a government credit card. I stated that central reservations did not tell me that. They told me all I needed was a check stub or id to show that I am a state employee. April stated, "I dont care what they told you." At that point, she just got IRATE. She started yelling in the phone at me and told me she was going to cancel my reservation. Then she hung up on me! April, if you are sleepy and cant handle the night shift, clock out and go home. I have NO PROBLEM with following policy but, I WILL NOT be berated by ANYONE! I will be contacting corporate. I will be staying somewhere else. Smh.

Wow. This place was a nightmare. Service was terrible. I asked to speak to a manager since the front desk had not handled my concerns. The manager was flat out rude. Threatened to throw me out. Issues were never fixed. I left after staying there for 4 nights, and I find out they charged my credit card for $600 excess cleaning fee. They basically charged me for what I was asking them to fix since I moved it. I checked the rest of the reviews on here and other platforms and it seems like this manager is unstable. It seems like he is on some power trip. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

Nashville was our first stop on our trip so arriving at this hotel after nearly 24hrs travelling we was very pleasantly surprised! Easy check in very friendly staff ,room was spacious and clean comfy very large bed , Then headed up to the roof top bar wow what a view and great service ,highly recommend this hotel !

Stayed here 2 nights with 3 other colleagues. Nice front desk staff. Clean modern hotel and room. Nice you can leave the HVAC fan ON for white noise as the hotel is right downtown. Bed was comfy. Water provided in room. Rooftop bar was a nice touch too with great views. Worst part was the elevators. Despite using a key and picking your floor it almost always skipped your floor. Lots of people very frustrated and long lines.

First, before ever stepping through the front doors, they threatened to cancel my reservation via email. They told me I had to update my credit card before 12pm local time. Empathy is completely lacking here, because little did they know my credit card was stolen the week before. Nye, the FD Supervisor, was the most monotone person. He couldn't care any less that I was there. I suppose I could show empathy as well to say maybe he was having a bad day, but I would encourage his bosses to pull him from the floor if he is obviously not 100%. The staff here lives by the definition of just doing the bare minimum - at check-in I was eventually given my keys and that's it. Nothing about the property, nothing about where anything was, things to do...just keys and a goodbye. I've stayed in many different Marriott and other branded properties across the country this year - this is literally the first review I've completed in forever because of their attitudes. The rooms are bare and cold. This is literally a 1-2 nighter type of hotel.

The room was average, lacking in amenities i.e. coffee, glasses, cork screw, furniture. Room was furnished for 1 (with the exception of 2 beds) but there were 2 of us. True we didn't spend alot of time in the room but still would have been nice to sit on something other than the bed. Also had no info in the room regarding Nashville, 2 bibles, that was it. When you asked the staff for info/directions we were directed to look it up ourselves, oh and on that, there internet service sucked and the library where they had hospitality laptops was always without a connection, you had to go to the Residence Marriot to get a connection. Breakfast buffet was not even average, better off going to the Diner a couple blocks away, better selection, taste and service. Very expensive to have drinks on the roof top bar i.e. $40 for 2 glasses of Cab Sauv, really Mariott, get a grip. I've stayed in other Marriot's and never had this level of service. When reading other similar reviews in June, July, I see the hotel responded advising they will do better, well heads up, that hasn't happened yet. I agree Joseph in Valet was exceptional as was Kennetha at the front desk (6 flr) who btw also has an amazing voice. STEP IT UP MARRIOT!!! I hope you treat your staff better than your customers.
