The worst experience I have had at this resort. We took a group of 53 people on a bus trip for the holidays. When we arrive with the travels at 4 pm our rooms were not ready and they lost our printed tickets for OakRidge Boys CountryChristmas ,breakfast tickets were messed up with the time listed on them. In the resort itself know one could even get you to your rooms because they did not know where they were in the resort you would ask and they would give you the wrong directions to find your rooms. The breakfast was cold ,it was a buffet but cold eggs, bacon, sausage and other breakfast food. Now the last day they had our luggage going to another area in the resort, finally convinced the person working with buses to have luggage returned to the Magnolia side and let us load in this area. Food was terrible in all restaurants and shows .

Dear dsmorgan1959, Please accept our sincere apology for your less than exceptional overall stay and the staff service you received. This is certainly not our standard and we are disappointed to hear this was your lasting impression of our resort. We genuinely empathize with how frustrating this must have been for you and we will use your feedback to ensure continual improvements are made moving forward.

Very seldom to we give 5 star ratings but this place is amazing. Just the logistics in keeping everything clean is mind blowing. I mean spotless, no dust, no dead leaves, no trash, nothing, spotless. Yeah, it's a resort and they nickel and dime you some, food is resortish high priced low quality for the money, and the rooms are nice but nothing special, but it's what's outside your room that is amazing. Waterfalls, plants, town buildings walkways, benches, elevated walkways, amazing really. Excellent layout that flows well and easy to find your way around. Recommend a room overlooking an atrium for the best overall experience. Bring your wallet, not a budget and enjoy!

We were told this was a can't miss destination in Nashville. We bought tickets for the Grand Ole Opry which was really cool. However, it's really far from downtown Nashville and the food options inside the Gaylord is average at best. Have dinner before you arrive.

Awesome experience for any family but we go every Thanksgiving for a Church/Family function and every year it seems to be higher and higher!!! I understand that Resorts have to charge but it's a little ridiculous. You're charged 35 dollars for self parking and everything you do is a minimum of 5 dollars. We spent almost 5000.00 for three rooms and it seemed when we asked for anything? They wouldn't do it, or had an excuse why they couldn't. The events they have are awesome for families during this time but it just seems that everything is way over priced! I'm not saying that this resort isn't fun, or nice but way over priced!

We went out to see Grand Ole Opry and just called by here on the off chance as I seen it on Social Media. We were not disappointed - never seen anything like it. Spent over 2 hours just walking about and seeing all the Gardens. I sooo want to come back and stay here. Highly recommend.

This was our first time here. It is a great place to spend the day. The atmosphere appeals to your sense of sight and hearing. We had lunch at the Cascades Restaurant. It overlooks a pond with Coi and Gold fish swimming about. For appetizers we tried their homemade Smoked Potato Chips. They are big and crispy but lack flavor. The Artichoke Dip was superb. I can't eat dairy but I tried the dip and can tell you it was great. For the main course I ordered a salad. I love that it was made with Butter/Boston Lettuce. I had it with Salmon. It was really good and really filling. For dessert I had the Chocolate Custard with an Oreo Crust. The chocolate was excellent. I didn't really want the Oreo Crust. My daughter had the Pecan Cheese Cake, it was good but she really preferred my dessert over hers. Now we are heading to the ice sculptures. I will write about that at a later 📅 date. Bye for now.

We stayed here over thanksgiving as a family. We were upgraded to a nice Jr suite as an Ambasador. There is some nice recognition. And discounts. The hotel is a maze. Crazy big. But very cool for kids to roam around. We went to the Xmas experience. Rudolph breakfast etc. good for kids. It’s a fun hotel but think Disney / cruise ship. Food quality is lacking and all feels pre made. But friendly staff and very clean. Its odd the place smells like Cinnabon.

The busiest time of the year - and it showed. I read on TA that this place is packed, but you don’t fully understand just how packed until you get there. 20 minutes just to get off the highway, with traffic backed up to the next exit busy. Checkin - I used mobile checkin and then immediately reached out via the chat function in the ap to confirm we had adjoining rooms, which they confirmed. My friends who we travel with and have three young kids were not as lucky. Despite the fact that we booked in August with a request for adjoining rooms for a family, they were “unable to accommodate” the request. After much stress, phone calls, manager escalations, etc. they found a one bedroom suite for them. Very stressful all around. The lines at the check in desk were insane. We waited 30 minutes just to get real keys to the room. Food - was stressful. Make reservations via the ap ahead of time. Otherwise good luck. We ended up booking the Oak Ridge Boys dinner show just so we had a place to eat with the five kiddos. It was $$ but the food was decent. For breakfast - we did in room dining both days. On the ap we placed our order at 7:15 am, and the first available delivery time was 9-9:30. The kids were starving by the time food got there. Lesson learned - on the ap you can book breakfast delivery the day before to get a time slot that’s before 9 am. I did that for morning #2. Entertainment - Soundwaves was the highlight of our trip. We booked two cabanas by the kiddie area and I am so glad we did. $250 for the day. The TV was great to watch football and World Cup. You have a server so getting drinks and food was a breeze - thanks Samy! Of all the indoor water parks I’ve been to, this one was by far the best. Because the dome is clear, there’s a ton of natural light and everything felt clean. Despite the holiday weekend, it didn’t feel overly crowded with seats available. Arrive 20 minutes before opening to get your wrist bands. The thing gets long. We got ICE tickets as part of our package. It was interesting but packed. Many of the other property attractions were crazy expensive - a boat ride for $200 for the family for 30 mins, a 12 minute carriage ride for $75. Cascades Pool - this pool is great for a more chill experience. The kids swam here on checkout day and I appreciated they had a lifeguard and life jackets available. Property - IS HUGE - use the ap the navigate. I don’t understand how you can get around without it. The signage was lacking and/or confusing. For example, there is a shuttle that will take you to the mall and another stop. I had to ask and re ask so many people because there isn’t a sign that tells you where to wait. 30 minutes later one finally showed up with a tiny paper taped to the door telling you it was the shuttle and it’s stops. Self parking was a free for all with people resorting to parking on the tree lawn and creating their own spots other places. Rooms - we booked a king room adjoining two full room. It was so expensive (almost $3,000 for two nights). That’s what we pay for four seasons stays, so I was hopeful our experience would be that level. It’s not. The rooms are a typical Marriott, nothing remarkable. We really didn’t interact with staff because of the lines everywhere, relying on the chat function to answer most questions. In summary, this was a painful trip. The crowds were insane, and not efficiently managed by staff. With 3,000 rooms, you’d think they’d have it figured out by now. With food so hard to get, it was stressful with the little ones. I’m glad we tried it, but we won’t be back.

I remember the magic of this place when I was a kid and traveled here last year for work so I wanted my kids to experience it at Christmas time so we could enjoy the lights and go to Ice. The good: We arrived early and were able to check in early The lights beautiful Staffing improving from last year but still seems like they could use more help ICE Room for improvement: -the place is kinda dirty, I’ll show pictures of trash in the hall along with coffee pots and wine glasses that were there the entire time we were -everything is expensive, the 15 min boat ride is fun and all but almost $100 for 4 people is a bit much -we ate at Old Hickory, it’s Ruth’s Chris price with average food but the atmosphere is really nice. If you decide to come this time of year put your patience pants on and buy all your online tickets ahead of time. Also there is a pool and hot tub that is not part of the extra water park.
