We were very impressed with the presentation, quality and portion size of our home delivery Christmas Dinner. Very clear instructions and very easy to do. Hardly any dishes. When we saw dinners were again on offer we had the sea bass for Hogmanay. Definitely hope you offer the same again for future Christmases and Hogmanays. Thank you so much.

Well what can I say my sister and brother in law who are both house bound due to covid constrictions and underlying chronic illnesses, ordered their christmas lunch from the hotel which my husband collected for them. I phoned my sister today to discover their meal was awful she said the soup was nice (who cant make soup??) Main course was a piece of bacon a slice of turkey laid on top then stuffing rolled into cling film which she was to submerge into boiling water for 15mins(yum) to accompany this there was 3 brussel sprouts each slice of carrot and a slice of parsnip she had to pay £7 extra on top of the £75 for 2 roast potatoes each!! She said the gravy was nice well done chef!!my brother in law got his Christmas pud my sister ordered cheesecake and received a chocolate brownie come on buccleugh is this your standard???? Hope owners of Hotel had a better Christmas Lunch bet they did somehow

We stayed here as part of a motorcycle tour and found the Buccleuch Arms welcoming, with a high standard of food & drink. The building itself is spacious and well kept; the garden is very well tended and a great place to sit for a drink; and the staff are all operating the Covid practices (face masks, distancing, sanitizing) well. The Buccleuch is a good base for touring: the breakfasts are very good indeed, and set you up well for the day; and you look forward to returning in the evening for a drink in the garden before a great dinner.

Extremely limited menu. The menu we spent time looking at was not available as wall board menu was out of date and apparently unable to be removed from the wall?? The food we did order was below average. The lentil soup tasted as if from a can, very salty and mine had a hair in it. The calamari far too floury and rubbery. It arrived all at different times, and the drinks order was wrong. Such a shame as it is a lovely looking hotel with pretty gardens and near the pretty town of St Boswells. The management definitely need to up their game. Even a reduced Menu due to ‘Covid restrictions’ doesn't mean the food needs to be bad. Also, least sensible Covid precautions out of all restaurants visited in the borders. Only rated a 2 as apparently the fish and chips had by the kids was ok.

Had a lovely lunch here recently. We ate in the Bistro area. Rather quite which was a shame. Covid friendly, lots of sanitizers around. Order was taken, and food, cutlery etc was placed on a table for you to collect. Very good idea, and saved staff hanging around tables. Good service and extremely welcoming. Fish & Chips excellent - proper chips ! Visit if you can, well worth it. Lots of parking and beautiful countryside.
