Really enjoyed the hotel and its position in beautiful Aberdour. Aberdour is a small village on the coast and so the facilities reflect this. The hotel was clean and functional but above all the staff were excellent and really made you feel welcome. I will return to the Aberdour and the hotel and if you are staying in the area you will not find a better place.
Scott and all his staff looked after Jane and me during our four day stay. We were visiting to travel to the Open Golf at St Andrews. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. It was handy for the hotel facilities. All the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the food was top class.
Having spent a lovely day at Aberdour Beach, I attended at Aberdour hotel and restaurant that clearly advertised that food was available all day. On speaking to staff, I asked to takeaway 3 x fish suppers and a chicken Goujon meal. The staff were polite and did not foresee any issues but would check with the manager. On their return, I was informed that they could not serve me as they were keeping their food for customers sitting outside and using the Hotel. I was appalled! I will ensure that this will be shared on social media on how not to treat paying customers, especially those working in the NHS and public sector!
I have just had the most beautiful weekend staying here The room was excellent and the food was amazing the staff couldn’t do enough for us Very well run. Can’t wait to visit again soon Black sands and silver Sands beaches are a short walk away
I had a very nice stay, very friendly staff, good food in the restaurant. Can definitely recommend it. The room was comfy, the beds good, and it's only a very short walk from the station. Breakfast very good.
Stayed as an overnight deal. Nice friendly welcome at reception. Room was lovely and clean. Had a great sleep in very comfy bed. Fantastic 2 course dinner, reasonably priced with so much choice. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again if in the area.
Perfectly situated on a picture-postcard street near both the beaches. The food was really tasty, the staff friendly and attentive and the prices very reasonable. Had the superior room and it felt like a home away from home. The place could do with a bit of a spruce up - it's starting to look a little tired throughout, but it more than makes up for it with service and personality.
My husband is just back from a 2 day stay at this hotel , it was a fantastic experience the room was large and airy spotlessly clean a bit dated but adds to the overall feeling of the hotel itself, breakfast and diner was absolutely delightful compliments to your wonderful chef, the staff I can’t say enough about them very helpful polite and caring especially Pauline who was magnificent your staff are a credit to your hotel , we will definitely be back , thank you aberdour hotel for a great relaxing stay
I rarely write reviews but was so pleased with lunch at Aberdour Hotel I wanted to give them a review. Driving Fife coastal route and called in for lunch 2.30pm and was impressed by menu, great choice & variety. Food was excellent, restaurant quality. Highly recommend
Travelled from Essex with one other adult and three small dogs for two nights at this hotel. on arrival such a friendly welcome, and dogs were doted over by all the staff. Staff were extremely accommodating, from offering advice where we could walk the dogs to do their business, allowing us to have early breakfast in the bar when we had a day of travelling, room service if we didn’t want to leave the dogs in the room but not a problem as dogs are allowed in the bar where we could eat, and they were quite happy sitting under the table munching the treats the staff gave them. They also went out of their way to print some documents we had forgotten to bring with us. The room was suitable for our needs, very nice, and dog friendly (as was the whole hotel to be honest). We had dinner at the bar twice, and both meals were very pleasant and a nice calm atmosphere. The area is also very lovely, and ideal for dog owners, as there is a park/walkway alongside the golf course virtually opposite the hotel, with an amazing view of the sea. We got very lucky with the sunny weather on our visit. We also got up early to visit the beach which is only about a 6 minute walk from the hotel, and has some amazing views. All in all a lovely hotel with brilliant staff who went out of their way for us, cannot find fault at all. The area is so lovely and quiet, but close enough to main venues (for us the dog show), some stunning views in walking distance. Would highly recommend. Thank you for making our stay as lovely as could be! (Photo view from our walk along the golf course, also shows how close to the sea).…
