I have spent the past 3 summers working in Jersey and was very lucky to find this excellent accommodation. Jaylana is a family run hotel and is definitely a home from home. Annemarie and Dave, who run the hotel are really friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make guests at home. The bedrooms are spotless and the breakfasts are great. Rooms have their own small shower room with toilet and washhand basin and there is always plenty of hot water There is a lovely lounge/TV room which guests can use and tea and coffee making facilities are available at all times. This guest house which is excellent value for money , is also in a great location, within walking distance of both St Helier and St Aubin and is 2 minutes from the sea front. I would highly recommend this guest house and look forward to staying in it again when I returm to Jersey.…

My work colleague and I had to find accommodation on the island for 5 nights in March, which is getting more difficult every year. Having almost given up, I came across this gem. On our late arrival my colleague and I were greeted with freshly made beverages and shown to our rooms. I was in room 7, which was super. Lovely bed, and nice bedding. Room had its own small shower room, with toilet and hand basin. Shower was great with plenty of hot water. Parking was not much of a problem, as you can park on the sea front (1.5 minutes walk away) free of charge out of season. Our hosts were marvellous, and felt like family. They not only run the Guest house, but have other jobs too, (as many people do just to survive on the island). Despite their heavy work schedules were were greeted with cheerful smiles, even on the day we required an extraordinarily early breakfast at 6.45!! Breakfast was always great, cereal, fruit juice, tea/coffee and, of course, the full English............In my own opinion, the best value for money accommodation on the island without doubt. Having stayed on the island 5 times with tariffs from £30 to £55 per night, this was our best experience by far and WE WILL BE BACK!!! Thanks Davey and Ann Marie for such a pleasant stay.…

We have just got back from a week spent at Jaylana. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon at about 3 pm and were let in by a guest who told us that the owner and her husband were both out. We returned at 4.30 and given our room by the owner's daughter who had just got in from school!! The room was cramped with no chairs but a huge wardrobe. It had a musty smell. The toilet/shower/sink cubicle was almost impossible to move around in and there was no soap in the sink nor were there hand towels or a shower mat. Only 2 medium sized towels were provided, they were changed once. Bed sheets were not changed. Tea bags were supplied but no milk or coffee. The tea bags were replaced only 3 times during our 7 night stay and we gave up and bought our own. Breakfast was OK but missable. The final straw was the owner's attempt to overcharge us on leaving! We will never go back. It would have been bearable if it had been cheap but a week cost us £420 (after the "mistake" had been rectified).…

Very well located B&B, ideal for a quiet trip to discover the island of Jersey. The sea is 1 minute walk. Between the city and Saint Aubin. I stayed there with my 9 years old son and a friend and we had a lovely time. Ann makes you feel « at home » very quickly. She is very thoughtful and flexible. Ann is very involved in her business. The rooms are nice. You also have access to a very pleasant TV room. The dining room for the morning breakfasts is spacious and agreable. I will definitely come back and recommend this B&B !

We came to Jaylana Guest House as a group of french professors accompanying students on a school trip to learn english. We have stayed there on previous trips and returned because of the wonderful hospitality of our hosts, the clean and comfortable rooms, good meals and because it is well organised in relation to the programmes and activities associated with the language school (buses, packed lunches etc.) It's very close to the beach too for when you need an extra moment of beauty and solitude! We would recommend this guest house to all sorts of visitors.

I enjoyed an extended stay at Jaylana last August and have treasured memories of my time there. The guesthouse is of a high standard with scrupulously clean and decorative rooms where I slept peacefully for the duration of my time there. The food was also pretty good with tailored breakfast and attention to detail such as endless supplies of toast and tea or coffee topped up! The proprietors Anne-Marie and her husband Dave along are exceptional hosts immediately welcoming and along with their delightful daughters are very accommodating whilst maintaining the professionalism of their business. The guesthouse is in a good position along the main coastal road either a short bus journey or an easy walk to St Helier. I highly recommend Jaylana as a lifelong favourite destination added to my list should I be fortunate enough to return.…
