We have a freshman at Clemson and are from Indiana, so we have no idea about the area or hotels. I saw that ratings on this hotel were decent. I knew prices would be inflated due to parents weekend and a home football game. We paid a rate of around $400 per night. This is the most disgusting room I’ve ever had to stay in. And due to family weekend, we had no other options. We walked in and immediately noticed it smelled bad. The couch was stained, there were stains on the bedding, the bathroom had a very dirty vent in the shower, dirt on the carpet, brown drippings above the sink, and a brown mark on the side of the tub just to make a few. I even got out the extra blanket hoping it would be clean so that I could have something to cover up with but it has crusty stuff all over it. We talked to the front desk staff and were told this “I know it’s stained, but it’s clean. Sorry.” They didn’t say anything else at all, just sat there. Whatever you do, DO NOT stay here.…
Friendly staff, clean hotel. Hot breakfast served. Just 10 minutes from Clemson University. Price is much better than staying right in Clemson. Will stay here again on our many future visit to Clemson.
Great people and stay! Owners and staff are very easy to work with, they have handled a large volume of people joining us for many of our nationally touring concerts over the past 5 years. The official hotel lodging for the Walhalla Performing Arts Center, more information at Walhallapac.com
I would stay here again. Breakfast was typical, nothing fancy. Rooms were clean, beds are comfortable. Staff are awesome. Laundry and pool available. Would very much recommend. The only complaints I have are, carpet in room, and we had a room that had an adjoining room, but I didn't feel unsafe, and there was no smoking area with a chair, other than those small minimal things, that's all I got.
I was traveling with my 93 year old mother while on a business trip. The Best Western staff accommodated us with an Early check in so I could get to my work site by noon and an Extended checkout time so I could complete my work and be assured of Mom's safety and comfort. The staff is very customer service oriented went above and beyond to be helpful during our stay. The amenities were good and this is the first hot breakfast I have had at a hotel since COVID. One of the morning staff made sure my mother - who has physical limitations - was taken care of. She brought her a cup of coffee while I fixed her plate. It was nice to feel valued as a customer. Going the extra mile made an impression on us.
Pros: Friendly staff, great hot breakfast and the rooms were huge! Super comfy beds! The Cons: hair on the walls of the shower and the amount of noise that you could hear! I mainly blame that on parents letting their children run wild, at one point I thought they were going to come through the ceiling from jumping on and off the bed! But otherwise the stay was great!
Don’t expect much. Raw and simple. The basic of the basic Had a few questions and the employee couldn’t help me. She made an effort but was not able to help me out. They’re are serving full breakfast, which is a good point
Me and my family came down for a family event. The service was great and the employees were very very sweet. The elevator needs some work but other than that me and my family would definitely come back!
This hotel has the friendliest staff! They recently added a laundry facility (2 washers, 2 dryers) which is amazing for people like me staying long term for work. It was a little pricey compared to other hotels but they’re new which makes up for it. They accommodate their night shift workers (certain times of the year possibly) and provide housekeeping once a week after hours which is amazing! Overall the rooms are clean. They could replace some sheet sets as some are “exfoliating” and the carpet in my room was in much need of a good cleaning or replacement (it was transferring black dirt to the bathroom tile). I always wear shoes so it wasn’t a HUGE issue. Overall it’s a nice clean hotel that I will continue to go back to when I’m in town! Side note: The beds have zipper mattress covers which is a huge plus. They’re just not crazy comfy to me (I take a mattress topper). …
I picked this location because the entrances to the rooms are indoor. For some reason this was difficult to find in the area I visited. It had everything I needed for a great stay. Both employees I dealt with were pleasant and helpful. The room was great. Very comfortable. I did not have time to use it but there was also a pool outside. Definitely not a make or break but one small suggestion would be have a pen and pad of paper available in the room (That might have been a thing they had to stop due to Covid). I would absolutely stay at this location again!
