My cousin(74 yr. old) was in town from Boston to visit my mother who was recently put on hospice. I called the hotel which was within a mile from the nursing home, to see if there was a room available for Wednesday-Sunday. I was told they had a room available - Great! Then, I was told that the rate would go up from approx. $70/night to approx. $298/night for Friday and Saturday - because Clemson was playing on Saturday!!! He had a room reserved for Wednesday-Sunday. I expressed my anger at this rate hike due to a "college football game" - and was told that my cousin should speak to the manager on Friday morning and that he was "welcome to come back on Sunday night". He did speak with two separate people and they reduced the $298/night rate to $198/night. The attendant suggested that my uncle go into Georgia to find a room - which was outrageous! My cousin could not afford this unreasonable rate hike and ended up traveling approx. 30 minutes to a family members empty home. The fact that Quality Inn technically kicked my Uncle out of his room in order to make and extra $100/night, is the reason that I will NEVER recommend this hotel to any of my visitors in the future.

I was visiting my son in Clemson and with all the hotels in Clemson (and many others nearby) booked I stayed for 2 nights at the Quality Inn. Because this was a home football game weekend all of the hotels have 2 day minimum stays and prices are higher than normal. The Quality Inn cost in excess of $430 for 2 nights and at that cost I think it's fair to expect better. On the positive side, the staff was friendly but how often are they not at hotels. The room was just OK - good size, TV, Wi-Fi, microwave. The drive back into Clemson is only about 15 minutes. On the less positive side, rooms are entered directly from the parking lot. In other words it has the feel of a motel and some parking lot noise to go with it. The AC in the room is one of those wall units under the window and it goes on and off very frequently and was loud enough to wake me up all night long.

Nilam the manager is a great asset. This property is clean, safe, and well managed. The decor is beautiful. Although Covid restrictions are in place the hotel still provides a secure, safe, clean place to stay.

We was in town seeing family and decided to stay over for two nights. The front desk crista and amanda I believe was their names, was very helpful and courteous. We had a quiet stay there, any and everything you might need seem to be just right next door.
As far as the facilities, to bad it was winter to try out the pool but everything else was great, clean and cozy.
I would recommend this Inn to anyone needing a stayover with a great experience.

Do NOT STAY HERE. Roaches in the room. I am not lying -- never stayed here in the past and of course never will again. Would have tried to find another room but a fishing tournament that weekend had all other places sold out. We have a dog and had to find a place that accepts pets. We need a room on the first floor because of problems our dog has with stairs. They did not have the room we were told would be saved and ended up with a room in the front building. Got in the room, put down bags and a roach was crawling on the head board. Later there was one on the night table between the beds - they are possibly in the phone housing. Husband pulled out the beds and there were 5 or 6 big black dead bugs - more in the corners of the room. Totally unacceptable. Front desk person was lovely, called the manager who wanted to come out and clean the room - at 10 PM at night. Only offered a 20% discount. I insisted on a free stay for one night and not stay the 2nd night so he agreed. Did not sleep well after driving for 6 hours all day. They should have paid US to stay that night. Mngr insists he cleans the rooms well. Here's a tip: use the skinny end of the vacuum and get in the corners and behind the beds. The smell others have mentioned is probably insecticide and it doesn't work. My dog hasn't been normal since that stay, although he finally ate half his food this morning. Disgusting is my one word review.

I just spent two nights in the filthiest room I've ever been assigned to at a hotel. The coverlets on the beds were filthy and had cigarette burns in them. The wall had a hole or torn Sheetrock. The chair and carpet were both stained beyond anything I've ever seen. The furniture was in bad shape. The walls had stains that were a cross between possibly drinks and bodily fluids. The bathroom wall near the toilet paper holder was particular offensive. The tv didn't work for which we were given a number to call because a guest at a hotel wants to spend an hour on the phone with the cable company! (And it still didn't work) The room also smelled like cigarettes but apparently I didn't request nonsmoking so I can't blame them for that. I realize the hotel is being renovated, but when a room is that dirty, a housekeeping crew should go in and do a deep clean. I knew about renovations, so I assumed the place would be old and dated, but not repulsive. I would never stay there again.

The first room that we were given had an odd odor about it. After just a few minutes I was not feeling well. The coffee pot was missing and as I opened up the cabinet doors below the sink looking for it I discovered a serious case of mold and mildew. We immediately asked to be assigned a different room. The front desk person apologized and made an excuse about the room above having just been repaired for a leak. So no telling how many others had been subjected to this. We moved and then needed towels which were never brought to us. This place is run down and I would never consider staying here again. We would have left entirely if not for exhaustion!!!

Yes, there are nicer places in Seneca and over in Clemson. And, if you're looking for a place to entertain kids, this probably is not the place for you. We stay here while in Seneca because it is inexpensive and worth the price. It is also close to the hospital, which worked out well for us this last trip. The room had a comfy king size bed, refrigerator and microwave. There is a small breakfast area with waffle maker and the usual stuff. We don't eat there because it is small, only about four tables, and they are always taken. No biggie. All the chain fast food restaurants are within a few blocks. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Bonus: There is a pretty nice Mexican restaurant right behind the motel. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. For the price, it's worth it. If you want better, spend more and stay somewhere else.

The price was low but we thought since it was a National Chain that it would still be a decent place to stay, just without the extras that more expensive hotels offered. Well if you consider pillow cases and bath towels as extras than we were correct. Several rooms booked by my family; we were all attending a wedding in Long Creek. My room did not have pillow cases on one of the beds, another room did not have bath towels, and when my nephew asked for an extra blanket he was told all they had available were sheets... The staffers were nice and the rooms seemed clean, but dated. I wouldn't recommend the pool unless you were on fire. Also, must be a popular extended stay place as there were several little grills about. And empty beer and liquor bottles. No loud drunks though so guess that is worth two stars. Very likely will not stay here again.
