Love Kiawah Island! It’s a private island community, not crowded like other beaches/tourist locations. Much wildlife and nature! Enjoyed bike rides, walks, and going to the beach. Grocery is close for anything needed!

I've traveled around the world several times and I can honestly say this is at the top of my list for family vacation and a place to call home in the winter. Has it all Great food, Privacy, fabulous beach, Wonderful Rental housing and hotel, Great golf and people. Can't think of anywhere that is outrageously better overall. Try it just don't let the secret out

My wife and I stayed in Kiawah for my 64th birthday in January. We visited Freshfields markets several times during our visit. We were amazed at the variety and the uniqueness of the different shops. We look forward to visiting the shops the next time we are down on vacation.

Wonderful, wide wide wide beaches! Even if they weren't wide they wouldn't be crowded, but with how wide they are during the day and low tide everyone has so much room. The sand is so smooth, no shells anywhere, so it's easy to walk on. You can bike down the whole beach, 10 miles of it! Biking paths inside the island are also gorgeous. If you are looking for a quiet location to relax and enjoy, then this is the place for you!

My husbands family vacationed here for a week. We rented a private house through Wyndham 10 min walk from the beach. We had a great time a bit far (10 min local village and 30+ min to Charleston for shopping and restaurants but we had a great time.
