Take me back! I’m still in awe of my experience at The Beach House. I would one thousand percent recommend this gem to everyone I know and anyone that is traveling to paradise on Karabao Island. We arrived by their personal speed boat from Boracay Island (took about 20-25ish mins) the transfer and accommodation at The Beach House was incredible! At our arrival we were welcomed with fresh warm hand towel and a yummy cocktail. The staff was welcoming and so lovely. We had a private beach to ourselves and enjoyed snorkeling 40ft from outside of our beach view room. For anyone that is looking for a restful, quiet, on the beach stay this place will not disappoint. Ooo and the food! It was all made to order, authentic and delicious! David and all of the amazing staff family made my experience unforgettable.

The Beach House, located on a lovely piece of beach and offering perfect sunsets, was my favorite hotel during my recent 3-week vacation in the Philippines. If you are looking for a comfortable, friendly and relaxing resort with lots of adventurous things to do, then this is your place. While it's only a short pump boat ride from uber busy Boracay, it feels a world away. David and his team make you feel most welcome and offer helpful tips on the many things to do while on island. I loved swimming in front of the resort, with care you can negotiate an entrance into the water from the nearby dock and then once beyond the shallow part of the reef you can swim all the way down the beach for over a mile observing the fish life and beautiful corals. This is one of the best swim beaches in the Philippines, and I’ve been to quite a few. Another plus is the friendliness of the staff, who remember your name and strike just the right balance between conversation and leaving you to your solo traveler and leaving you to your book, phone, or quiet contemplation. The food was also some of the best meals I’ve had in the Philippines- especially the ribs and pasta. David also has excellent wine on offer. My favorite activities on Carabao Island were scuba diving (check out Vibrations Dive Center - excellent equipment and dive masters Gauillaume & Manu), caving at Cathedral Cave, swimming through the cave tunnel directly into the ocean only to be greeted by a school of fish on the other side, motorcycling around the island with a guide (the road is being upgraded as I write this review), exploring white-sand beaches on the other side of the island, taking in the cliff-top view overlooking Boracay, and - best of all - chatting with the friendly locals. So if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet low key resort located on an island that has some of the friendliest, least jaded locals in the whole Philippine archipelago, look no further than The Beach House Resort. As soon as you say goodbye to the crowds of Boracay and arrive on this quiet little paradise of an island, you’ll wish you had moved on from Boracay a few days sooner - trust me on this.

Dear Zvolen, We really appreciate your thoughtful review, particularly from someone who has travelled extensively in the Philippines. It's so nice to know that we compare very favourably to the other great places you've been. Thank you for your great tip on snorkelling the reef at low tide, now the dock is there, you're the first person that's thought of doing that!! I'm so pleased you appreciated our wonderful wine collection; all chosen and sampled many times by me personally!!! We hope to see you here again. Best regards, David

we were met by Eli at our hotel in Boracay who came to colĺect us and our luggage to the port where the beach house private speedboad was waiting for us... we were quickly taken to the beach right infront of the beach house at Carbao where we were greeted by most of the friendly and welcoming staff who quicky helped us off the boat took our luggage and ushered us to a friendly welcome drink waiting at the beech bar.. we felt so immediately relaxed and welcome that about 2 hrs or so passed before some of us even went to check and view our rooms .lol which by the way are tastefully fitted out with all you need for this lovely break. The location of the beach house truly is goegeous and i guarantee the best spot on the island with a coral beach of about 15/20yards to the crystal clear waters of the sea and only another 20yards to large coral rocks with plenty of smallish but decent fish and other marine life to snorkel amongst..there are plenty of activities offered by the resort water skis kayaks snorkeling trips scuba diving cliff jumping to name a few and more arranged by the resort if you so wish with a good choice of capable vehicles for day trips 3 different boats all at their disposal. We rented motorcycles for half a day which was interesting.. The beach house at carabao isnt a large resort its a great size for decent friendly personal service and thats what you get from arrival until the moment you leave. We felt that we all mingled and socialised well with the owner David and his staff that was great and not imposing. Me n David even had a beer n wine fuelled attempt at karoake together. Seriously this review may sound a little over the top but is sincerely how we found it, and David offered us extra nights at well discounted prices which we accepted and wished we couldve stayed even longer. My only slight negative if any was just adjusting to the kinda slow island pace of life .but that didnt take long, maybe even part of the charachter. Anyway we will definitely be returning to the beach house at Carabao. Most likely every year. Its not a too lively place if youre expecting bars clubs etc , unlucky. For us it was the goegeous spot , friendliness and nice n quiet location we wanted, there are quite a few similarly sized resorts along the lanas beach very nearby which we should have tried food or drinks at but we were so content at the beach house we just didnt venture out other than for walks along the beach , cliff jumping and the rental bikes. Just cant praise this resort enough 11/10 We WILL be Back 100% !

Originally My wife, 2-year-old son, and I stayed planned to stay at The Beach House for 3 nights, but we extended our stay 3 nights because we loved it so much. Late in our “planned trip” we opted to move to another part of the island just to try out something different. We then found out that, because of the travel restrictions placed on people coming from HK to the Philippines, we couldn’t leave until we had been on the island for 14 days, we opted to go back to The Beach House for 5 more nights! We absolutely loved this place.
Why? The Staff: David, Malu and their team are the absolute highlights of staying here at The Beach House. They are super friendly, knowledgable, accommodating, and willing to go that extra mile to ensure that your stay on Carabao is a wonderful and meaningful experience. They took INCREDIBLE care of my boy - playing with him, helping him make friends with the other local kids, watching out for him if my wife and I needed to do some work. The team is THE BEST! 2 weeks after returning and my boy is still talking about Uncle Vincent, Mary Jane, Edita, and all the friends he made on Lanas beach. The environment: Carabao is an island beautiful. Period. The Beach House is on Lanas beach which is beautiful. Perfect for kids because there are tons of shells, the sand is soft and clean (The Beach House and Mr. Vincent rakes their beach multiple times day so it's very clean!), has THE BEST sunset on the Island, and has a beautiful reef just offshore for snorkeling. The Beach house has boats for rental, as well as a whole host of activities they can arrange or lead around the island. For example. The Beach house has a 6 seater Viking UTV that you can hire to drive the family on a tour of the island. There is multiple fantastic cliff jumping spots within walking distance from The Beach House and in addition to The Beach House, there are few other options around interns of eating if you want to mix things up for lunch or dinner. The Rooms: Clean, comfortable, with a nice soft bed, AC, clean bathrooms, hot water showers, and several amenities like a mini-fridge, safe, TV, etc. We really appreciated that they offered us a crib for our son. Something that was hard to come in other places we looked at on Carabao. The Food: Made from near scratch, the food here is DELICIOUS and they have a wide variety menu. You can also special order items and/or they have will have regular specials. The food is delicious- try the special eggplant omelet and ask for some grilled Tuna at some point! Also - The Beach House has a special recipe for Spare Ribs! One suggestion I had for The Beach House was to have a KIDS MENU available. While Malu and her team were more than accommodating, having a simple list of suggestions and prices would be useful. I might recommend things like Jollibee Spaghetti (a kid favorite) Pancit Mac and Cheese Etc. Final Bits and Bobs… The wifi at the Beach House works ok, esp upstairs. Much better than other places on the Island. We had globe SIM cards and You can get a strong Data Signal at The Beach House. Much better than you can on either White Beach or upon Ocean’s edge where there isn’t really a signal for Globe. The Beach House is a PERFECT place for families looking for a someplace quiet, safe with a great beach, beautiful island, delicious food, and lots of fun! Its a special place and my family will definitely be going back!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive and helpful review!! We are so pleased that you enjoyed yourselves and that the staff are so good and child friendly. We are really trying to focus on families in the future, as you say the location is perfect for small children. We have now started to construct some bungalows which we think will be even better for families. Thank you for your suggestions to produce a kid's menu. We have already taken up your suggested list of items and added them in the menu in a kids section. The staff loved having you stay with us and playing with your son and we are all looking forward to you coming back to stay here! Best regards, David

Perfect place if your looking for a relaxing quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of Boracay without hords of people. Basic accommodation but with everything you need to relax and have a great break. Lovely spot to sit and watch the sunset without anyone else around. We had a 3 night stay and apart from the first night we had the place all to ourselves. Lovely meals at the beach house we enjoyed and on our last night Milou and the staff organised a lovely romantic beachside dinner with champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was paired with a perfect meal of fresh snapper, prawns, salad and rice with a chilled bottle of champagne and lovely romantic music playing. We had an island tour with them and swam over the otherside of the island as well as taken to some lovely lookout places around the island. If your looking for a great place to stay with staff that make you feel like your part of their family this is the spot. Thank you David, Milou, Vincent and the staff for making a wonderful relaxing few days for us. We will definately be back when next visiting the Phillipines 😊
