We booked our reservation through Hotels.com for our family of 5. The room online showed two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. When we got to our room it only had two beds and no sleeper sofa. We called the front desk and were told they can’t guarantee rooms booked through third party sites and couldn’t move us to a different room. So three of us had to sleep in one of the beds. The mattresses and pillows weren’t very comfortable and the air conditioner was very loud. Staff however was friendly and helpful.
The furniture in the lobby and my room was tired. Every piece seemed scuffed or chipped on the edges or worse. The bed pillows needed to be retired. The refrigerator didn't cool past about 50 degrees. I understand the pandemic hit the hospitality industry hard so I give them a little leeway when it comes to the furniture being past its prime. What I don't forgive is dirty, sloppy and rude. The sleeper sofa in my room was stained in several places. There was a large nail polish stain on the carpet that looked like no one had ever tried to clean it up. The extra outlets in the desk and the lamp bases didn't work. I unplugged the lamps so I could charge my phone and laptop. The top of the desk had a sticky film on it. A large area of the carpeting outside of the breakfast area was so sticky, I could feel and hear the bottoms of my shoes getting unstuck from the carpet as I walked. Gross. Every lamp shade in my room was so crooked it looked like someone bashed into it. How long does it take to straighten a lamp shade? Outside, the window trim is sagging and looks to be falling off the building. The front desk clerks only talked to me when I was checking in. They never said another word, not "Thanks for staying" or "Welcome back" or even "Hello". Exterior doors other than the main entrance were propped open. I understand if people were unloading their luggage, but I never saw anyone in the parking lot. Not safe. The only saving grace was the bathroom. It was clean. The towels were in good condition. That's the only reason for the second star in my review.…
Alanna, was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us with are travel booking, ( she is why I chose this hotel) I had called other nearby hotels and they were not as informative. We were pleasantly satisfied with how clean and comfortable our room was. ( I am picky, and honest as well) I would stay again on my travels back, plus they have a great spread for free breakfast.
Where to start. We have always had good experiences with County Inn & Suites but this was a disaster. Bottom line up front - we had prepaid online for a room and chose to forfeit our payment rather than stay in such a filthy place. It should NOT fly a Country Inn & Suites flag. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke and there were ashes all over the floor even though they made a big deal about it being a "smoke free" hotel. Our room smelled so strongly of mold it hit us through our "covid masks" as soon as we opened the door. We immediately returned to the front desk and complained and were met with overwhelming indifference by the desk clerk. She suggested we could wait until 10 the next morning to complain to a manager. Overall it looked like a set for a noir movie, wallpaper peeling off the walls, dingy doors and filthy carpets worn through to the backing in several places. We called the corporate number for customer service and the lady listened to our complaint and said she would call the hotel to try to work something out for us. We stayed on the line while she called the hotel. We heard the desk phone ring, the clerk picked it up and immediately hung up again. The customer service rep came back on our phone and said she was unable to reach the hotel so she would "file" our complaint and we should hear back from the corporate office in 3-4 business days. I expect nothing to come of this. We drove one block to a new Holiday Inn Express for only a little more than what Country Inn was charging and had an excellent stay. i would find sleeping in my car a more pleasant experience than this Country Inn - avoid at all costs.…
Oh my freaking good. This has been the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. IN MY LIFE. Now I don’t always expect 5 star hotels and I typically will stay in average hotels, but I have stayed in motels cleaner than this and with COVID I would assume that the quality of cleaning would be much better. And the night before we stayed at another country Inn that we absolutely loved, so we didn’t think that there would be a problem with the rest of them. However, as we were checking in there was a couple ahead of us who stormed out disgusted. They said that their room was also the grossest they have ever seen and quickly ran out in the hopes of finding anything better than this. They even said that they didn’t care if they got a refund because of how nasty it was. As we walked into our room. I understood why. This included but not limited to; poop and pee stains all over the toilet, hair covering the bathroom floor, literal dirt in the tub, and weird splatter marks in other areas of the bathroom. Now this is only from the bathroom area and the outside bedroom area was also appalling. There were white splatter spots covering the back of the bed frame. I could also tell that the sheets had not been washed and the bed had only been re-made. Additionally, it was not only the cleaning of the room that changed my mind about the quality of this hotel, but also the service. When we called we specifically asked if the pool was open. Traveling through COVID we understand that not all of the normal activités would be open, which is why we called ahead of time. The last Country Inn we stayed at the pool was open so when the lady at the front desk said that this pool was as well, we had no reason to believe that was untrue. But as soon as we walk in we see signs saying how the pool was in fact closed. We are a family with kids so finding stuff for us to do is also a priority, so we were very disappointed after we booked our room. I am complete dumfounded at the lack of cleanliness and arrive in this hotel. I took lots of pictures for proof and will be finding somewhere to put them online. For being a service industry they are severely lacking.…
