I am currently in town for the funeral of my grandmother and As I write this I am looking for a new hotel to stay in. Upon checking in the agent couldn’t find my room. Then when getting to my room the fridge was filled with old food. Around midnight I had two strangers come walking in my room. I immediately call the police because the strangers refused to leave. I then Called the front desk and they put me on hold and slammed the phone down. I go to the front desk and agent there greeted me and said “Are you the one that keeps calling about towels”? I said no I’m the person who room just got walked into. He’s like “oh yeah I was about to call you. The shift before me gave them your keys because you have the same last name. They are two dumb new people training each other”. I’m shocked that because someone had my VERY TRADITIONAL last name that they were given keys to my room. The agent even gave me the strangers FULL NAMES. I know things happen so I said it’s okay just deactivate the keys and please give me a new one. While making my keys THE STRANGERS who walked into my room comes back to say the seal on their door is broken and they didn’t go because the last time it was two people sleep (me and my boyfriend). Although I got there first the agent said “let me get them together and be back with you. The agent apologized to them and gave them new keys and offered them a suite upgrade and Hilton points if they wanted. At this point I haven’t been offered anything and not even a good apology. I asked the agent why are they getting the special treatment and I haven’t been offered anything when my room was access which is a security risk. His response was to reach out and talk to the general manager Dwight and he can do something. When I ask for the agent name and the general manager information he was super disrespectful, told me to get out the lobby before he calls the police and give somebody else my room. So not only did my room get accessed while I’m sleep, I was offered no compensation or resolution call mom the people that walked into my room was rewarded, the agent was super disrespectful towards me and threaten to call the police. This was a disgusting display from a Hilton employee.…
Great location, clean and friendly staff. Stopped here on trip from Ohio to Florida. Checked in on mobile but was able to get extra key quickly for spouse at front desk. Nice area with various food options. Easy to hop back on 77 in the morning. Would stay here again for sure!
I travel very often for work and personal things. I don’t like staying at hotels that are brown/neutral colored. I joined the rewards program years ago since I stay at the Hampton so much. Every time I walk in any of their establishments I’m greeted with a smile and manners from the staff. I will always stay at this brand of Hotel. The rooms are always so clean & neat. The linens and towels are fresh every time I go in. If I forget toothpaste, soap, or bathroom items, they always have me covered. No where else can satisfy me whenever I leave home.
I enjoyed my stay. I loved having the digital key so I did not have to stop by the front desk to check in. My room and bed were very comfortable. The staff was friendly. The only problem I had was the shower head was broken and it was challenging to set it to my desire.
This was an excellent hotel with very nice employees. They worked very well with me after extending my stay 3 times. I also would like to give thanks to the people that clean the rooms and change the towels and trash cans out everyday.
