Everything you expect for a 5-star hotel! The welcome cocktail was a perfects touch. The room needed a little bit more decor was absent. It's OK, but for such a beautiful lounge and bar area, the rooms should also include a touch of art.,

Hotel's Favorite
We were looking for a short isolation getaway to Charleston and this was our second stay at The Spectator Hotel. It did not disappoint. In addition to their already "over the top" service, the hotel and staff had implemented safely measures that made us feel very comfortable with our decision. Days before our arrival, I spoke with Nick, the concierge, to ask about the protocols. He was very helpful and professional. Everyone was masked up and you couldn't miss all the hand sanitizing stations and packets. Enough about Covid though. The Spectator has beautifully appointed rooms and I even inquired about the manufacturer of the mattress. It is so comfy, I think I just might have to have one. They have superb butlers (thanks David), great in-room breakfast options, and the Spectator bar is one of my favorites in all of Charleston. The ambience is very relaxing and the craft cocktails by Alan and his crew are top notch. The location is perfect for walking to all your favorite spots. I love this hotel and can't wait to return. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks to everyone for a memorable stay.

Loved our stay.- they go above and beyond. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. Enjoyed having breakfast brought to our room, and all the extra treats in the room amd downstairs, such a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

We were blown away by the beauty, generosity, and thoughtfulness of this hotel. While our room was in front of a construction project, we did not hear much thru the thick windows...So don’t let that stop you from experiencing this uniquely luxurious place. I’m recommending this place to everyone! It was above and beyond, from the complimentary cocktails at check-in to private butler service. Never before has a hotel made us feel this cared about and pampered. Rooms are large and gorgeous with local jazz playing. Snacks are complimentary, so was breakfast in bed. And service is top-notch. I rarely write reviews but this place is truly deserving of praise.

My fiancé and I have visited Charleston several times over the last five years and The Spectator is by far the loveliest place we’ve booked! I can’t rave enough about the outstanding service, complimentary food, location to everything in downtown and the beauty of this hotel. We will not only be recommending to everyone visiting the Charleston area but will be returning for all future visits to Charleston ourselves! Thank you for everything!!
