Our stay was a disappointment from the moment we checked in. We booked a 2br room at a PrePay , non refundable rate. We checked in and headed to our room. Upon entry, I noticed that the room and furniture was COVERED in dog hair! Disgusting!!! I called directly down to the front desk and asked if they had a room that was clean and not covered in dog hair. They did switch our room to another 2br room a floor below. Apparently there was no communication & I’m not sure our room was even clean completely!! Housekeeping walked in without knocking & the dishwasher was still running. When I went down to exchange keys, I asked for a pack & play for our 8 month old. I was told housekeeping was as on break & I could get one in later. Prior to our stay, I called the hotel directly to ensure pack & plays were available so we did not pack one . Before we left for dinner, I called back down to the front desk to ask for a pack & play. I was told at that time the hotel did not have them. Annoyed & frustrated, I had my boyfriend call down and he was also told that the hotel did not carry them. We then went to target and bought a $70 pack & play we did not need so our baby had a place to sleep. Upon return at around 9pm , I stopped at the front desk to again express my annoyance about having to go buy a pack & play. I was told that I should have never been told that there were pack & plays & that she would report it to the manager. (She doesn’t know Marriott policy) The next morning, I went to down get towels.. there were NO bath towels in the room, no dish soap, no dish towels, no dishwashing tabs, & the garbage disposal was not functioning. Only 2 burners on the stove worked. I was told maintenance was not on site & it would be fixed the next day... it was never fixed & the sink drained slow. At that time, I did speak to the manager, she did correct the pack and play issue— surprise — they had them all along & she did comp us one night but I still paid over $300 for 2 nights. No housekeeping- had to get our own towels/ wash clothes, no refill of toilet tissue, the body wash & conditioner pumps didn’t work- Oh.. and there is NO breakfast right now with Covid. Muffins & kids fruit cups. I have been to other hotels during Covid that offer prepackaged HOT breakfast. Marriott should take a hint & do the same. Pros- the area was convenient to everything. …
This hotel is in the best location!! Out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but a short drive to everything!!! The rooms were ok, but not as clean as I prefer. We had to ask for towels every day because there was no housekeeping due to Covid. Checking in was a disaster room was not ready when we arrived even though we had checked in early on the app. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. We were told breakfast was complementary but quickly found out that was just a “ muffin “ over all it was a nice place to sleep! Will probably stay here again for the rate and location!
We only had one towel in our room except for the raggedy faded green town that was hanging in the bathroom. No hand towels. No rags. The conditioner pump didn’t work or the conditioner was out. The bed had basically two sheets on it. No real heavy cover. The elevator was filthy. Stuff was poured all over the floor and trash was in the floor. The elevator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days but they had signs up everywhere to wear your mask to stop the spread of COVID.
Pros - quiet location, clean, kitchen with dishwasher, pans, plates, fridge, stovetop and microwave, well maintained outdoor pool and dining area, also front space has outdoor tables and chairs, friendly staff. Because of Covid breakfast is fruit cups, packaged muffins, juice and coffee, but it's sufficient. Also no maid service, but you can get anything you need from the front desk; lots of free parking. Cons - walls are thin; the suites are not separated as other Marriott suite hotels. couch is on opposite wall from the bed; room has too much furniture for smallness; if you plan to work and need space book another Marriott such as a Residence Inn.
The room was not as clean as it should have been. The dishes were dirty in the cabinets and the dishwasher had old food in it. The comforter had stains on it. When we requested another one we were given a blanket instead. We will not be staying here again.
