Let me start by saying my husband and I love doing the BnB route. We have stayed in many. I loved this property and the decor is like something you would see in mansions or museums. I was a tad disappointed on check in, calling Andrew, he gave us directions over the phone and what door to go through. We got in house and was instructed to go to kitchen and on the back of one of the doors were the keys to the different rooms. We stayed in the Scarlett Room, very nice however it never felt truly impeccably clean. I was kind of upset to come back late at night and found our room was not made up. I called Andy and he said ohhh you have to request that. How about putting the information in the room so guests can see it. The breakfasts were wonderful the chef Henry did a…
Great location 15 minute to Providence 45 to Newport.friendly staff, good food, beautiful house.Remember it's a old house, not a brand new hotel, considering that it is well maintained and the architecture is just beautiful. If you like Victorian b+b I would recommend TheEdgewood manner.
Great location close to local attractions such as the RW Zoo. Andrew was an awesome host and was happy to share the history of the property with us. There's a very classical, ornate vibe to the place that allows you to feel that rich history. Oh, and you can't go wrong with a jacuzzi! Definitely recommend.
The Manor is magnificent. Every room takes you back in time with all the beautiful antiques and fabulous workmanship in the wood in each room. We stayed in the Samuel Priest room. It was beautiful. It was nice to come back and relax in the jacuzzi each night. The host was awesome and attentive and very busy planning a wedding. What a luck couple. The grounds are beautifully taken care of. Breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely recommend staying here. OBTW did I say it’s in a very conversation location which is a plus for me.
Gorgeous and well maintained house; perfect for a night away or to host any event. I was immediately drawn to the ceiling in the foyer and then the library... and then the next room til I found myself peeking into every room I could. From the painted floors and ornate rugs to the carved ceilings; there is detail absolutely everywhere! Every room in the house deserves a look. As the owner says, this place really should be a museum. Breakfast was delicious, I normally don't care for home fries, but these were done perfectly. I only wish I was hungrier to enjoy more of the homemade meal. The room was elegant and very comfortable. The king size bed was perfect for sprawling in front of the relaxing fireplace and the jacuzzi tub for two was heavenly. Easy to find and onsite parking…
Truly a unique experience. We stayed in the Palladium room which was spacious, comfortable and inviting. Each room of the Manor offers several antiques and historical items to discover. You could spend the whole day in the Manor just looking around. Andrew was a great host and very accommodating. Nice to meet in the morning during breakfast and chat about the history of the place. Definitely worth a visit! Within was our first bed and breakfast experience and will try to come back again next year.
An exceptional stay in a home where you are surrounded by museum quality items. We've visited places around the world but have never seen something of this caliber with the stained glass. Tiffany lamps, furniture surrounding every room you visit. A memorable experience.
My husband and I have stayed here twice while visiting our daughter in Cranston. Love this place. Very interesting decor, clean and quiet. Beautiful neighborhood. The owners are very responsive. Highly recommend.
Spent a beautiful birthday night at our favorite Inn ! Elegant and romantic experience with my love .... Every room is beautifully furnished with nice classy antiques and big beds.then in the morning you are welcome to a nice brunch .
My husband and I did a quick trip for Rhode Island as a last-minute getaway. We booked this the day before. We ended up getting there unfortunately late for check in(9pm). The mansion was beautiful. And I wanted to explore but it was late at night so we ventured to our room, Scarlett‘s retreat. Not a typical bed-and-breakfast because the code was provided for access and the key was left for access. So it is a private experience coming into the mansion. Of course there are other rooms and common areas. The room was beautiful. It had a fireplace and marble shower. The next morning I want to get up early to explore the mansion. The owner who does not live on premise arrived to create a delicious well displayed breakfast. He spent time with us during the breakfast hour and we…
