My boyfriend and I were looking forward to experiencing "WaterFire" on 11/5/22 and searching for a romantic, yet reasonably priced place to stay. EDGEWOOD MANOR was one of the Most Amazing places we have ever stayed! It was beyond our expectations
I went there with 7 other guests so we had the run of the place to ourselves. Pics look good on the Internet, however stay away. Peeling paint, mold, prior guests clothing still in closet, I had an old broken AC stored in my closet. Owner does not live onsite so very little communication such as a simple sheet listing Internet password, emergence number, after-hours door entry code, etc. Breakfast is minimal - one scrambled egg, small portion of potatoes, one tiny frozen link sausage. No fruit, no nothing else. No ice available. (how hard is it to get a countertop ice maker?) It appears owner only interested in revenue without giving guests value.
I loved staying at Edgewood Manor. It is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent and Andy was very accommodating. There is beautiful Roger Williams park and Pawtuxet Village very close by. My husband and I would highly recommend!!!
I have to say that the house was absolutely beautiful. The furnishings were incredible. Breakfast was good. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon It was about 95ﾟ out. We went to the front door rang the bell but there was no answer. We went around to the back door knocked on the door again no answer. So we sat out front for a little bit then walked around the house again and finally the Housekeeper open the door. She asked us if we were expected? Well we said we do have a reservation At which time she made a phone call and was told by the owner that she could give us a key and show us our room. We were up on the 3rd floor and It was so hot that it took hours to cool the room down . It would have been nice if someone had put the air conditioning on earlier in the day. Remember it was a 95ﾟ that day. We hung out waiting for the innkeeper as we had some questions about the area and maybe some input on some good restaurants. We never saw him Until breakfast the next morning. Not only did we not see him but we did not see a single soul. So here we were alone in this giant beautiful home feeling like we were in an episode of a scary movie. We did come to find out that another couple did check in around 10 o'clock that night. Once Friday night came and there were other guests around the atmosphere was a little more welcoming. The question of would we go back again? If we did it would have to be on a weekend. I'm not going to say we had a bad time we did have a good time . It just didn't have the warmth of other b&b's that we have visited. I do have to say the place was beautiful and very clean which makes it inviting. Try it!…
This is a wonderful place full of antiques. Mansion built in 1905. Dark wood panelling, Tiffany-type lamps everywhere. Our bed in the Victorian Room was very large, well lit and comfortable. Andy is a affable innkeeper. Breakfast was excellent and it's not every day you can eat it sitting across from the Emperor Caracalla! Good parking lot in rear. Quiet with easy access to Roger Williams Park and highways.
This is a fantastic B&B, with gorgeous detailed victorian master craftsmanship, beautiful antiques, fireplaces adding charming ambience, and delicious breakfasts. It's like taking a trip back in time, but with all the modern amenities of a jacuzzi tub, super comfortable bed, and convenient city locale. What a gem!
Beautiful Bed and Breakfast... Took my future wife here for our one year and 11 month anniversary. If your looking for a nice and quiet place to relax with a great and old rusic atmosphere. This is the place, I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.. And p.s. please book direct with them. Thanks Jeremy Payne
What a venue to hold a baby shower!!! The Inn is gorgeous! The sunroom was beautiful. The food was delicious. A fantastic time was had by all. Andrew Lombardi, the owner, was extremely accommodating and helped me to plan this event with ease. I highly recommend Edgewood Manor Inn for an event. Check out the photos on the website the rooms are beautiful!!!
My boyfriend, and now fiancé and I, stayed at this B&B for my birthday this past week, it was an amazing experience. Perfect location for going into providence for dinner or just a night out. The manor is beautifully decorated and the rooms are outstanding. Andy gave us our keys upon arrival and we didn’t see much of him till the next morning at breakfast, when we came down the stairs we had orange juice waiting for us at the table. We stayed in the Samuel priest room and it was unbelievable; fireplace, jacuzzi, and huge comfortable bed. Everything got even better when my then boyfriend proposed while we were settling in after our night out. Andy made us an amazing breakfast the next morning to help us celebrate! We will absolutely be back to celebrate more of our engagement and future wedding!!…
I stayed for 11 days in this wonderful manor which is in a very safe area on the Cranston/Providence line in RI. I had such a hard time deciding which room I wanted as each had their own nuance within a comfortable setting w.some including fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. I stayed in the 'Colonial' room, but was tempted as well to try the 'Victorian' room. Nice, clean and quiet, spacious rooms, with a lovely living room and dining areas. There is parking on site(free) and a fridge in each room. You are provided with an easy door (access)code and keys that a 10 year old could figure out. The breakfasts were delicious served in a large Victorian style dining room, I will return, wonderful experience and Andrew was a friendly and kind host.
