What can I say? This was our first experience in a Bed & Breakfast and, to be honest, we will never stay in a hotel chain again. Chris & Jim welcomed us like family the moment we walked in the door. The property was so inviting, plenty of space to mingle or get away from it all. The room we stayed in was absolutely perfect with a super comfortable bed. Breakfast? WOW!!! A wonderful breakfast and we did not leave hungry. Chris & Jim did not just provide a breakfast meal, but a complete dining experience. Fruit course, local granola, main meal and delicious desserts. The only things missing from breakfast were Chris & Jim joining us at our table. They work hard to make all their guests feel welcome, and are attentive to any special dietary needs. There is no doubt that we will be back at the Churchtown Inn Bed & Breakfast the next time we are in the Lancaster, PA area. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend. Debbie & Michael (New York)

We just returned from a wonderful new stay In Amish Country which is so beautiful in its surrounding, As is this in.. just lovely, from the scenic view in back with relaxing chairs and plenty of areas to walk about & explore. We had our rescue with us so we had the cottage as you walked in off street also good was the parking right out your door. Owners were fabulous and friendly ..breakfast was very nice ours was a delish corn flake crumb topped quiche some banana muffins and a berry whipped little drink w/cream on top and granola was awesome. great breakfast but also i wished also for just a side of typical breakfast ie. eggs toast or bacon.. but then again u can get that anywhere or on the road.. this was very unique type & thoughtful morning taste..for breakfast. The area does not have a whole lot of options as to places for dinner though there are some within 5 miles or so or further..and also we also darnit always head to lancaster area on Sundays..when most places are closed..& we leave early & dont get to partake of sites. Also loved the room actually had three sleep options. the king bed, a side bed for one and also a day bed.. i mean if u have kids ..perfect.. was cool was pretty was immaculate and touches such as a radio & cds if u want to play.. and great stay for our little yorkie who had a maaavalous time meeting Gracie..and sniffing everything outdoors.. They also have little cookies snacks juices or soda in kitchen type area.. just all you need. We had a fridge to hold our lunch (left overs) though no microwave but can do in their kitchen area. All in all a peaceful (bit of traffic as our room is facing roadside ) but i'm heavy sleeper and honestly i hardly heard noise all that laud. Bed was very comfortable, Ty to Chris & Jim we will do our best to return maybe during week next time and with our Sweetie and maybe our other Yappy tea cup one will on trial .. if we take the monster..!! loved ms Gracie..by breakfast buddy :D

Jim & Chris, outdid themselves. They are very warm and inviting people, and gave us a tour and history of their place. All of the rooms were spotless, the breakfast was outstanding. We never had delicious warm bananas, mixed in something so mouth watering, and French Toast to die for!!! We also had homemade granola with milk and sausage on the side. Every room, was prettier than the next. We stayed in the James Griffin Room, which was so inviting. We highly recommend, staying at their Bed and Breakfast. You will NOT regret it. Can't wait to return!! Patti & Anthony - Wallington, NJ

What a beautiful bed and breakfast. Loved the rooms with all the beautiful hand stitched quilts on the beds. The bed was very comfortable, we slept like a dream. The breakfasts were delicious. Chris and Jim made us feel so welcome and provided us with a list of restaurants, attractions and shopping in the area. We would highly recommend this historic inn.

We had an outstanding stay at this B&B. My wife was running in the Garden Spot Half marathon and we chose the Inn as our home base for the weekend. It is a lovely, historic home away from home. We stayed in the Carriage House Suite which is like sort of having your own wing of the Inn. Chris and Jim are marvelous hosts. They were beyond accommodating to my wife’s pre-race needs. We returned from the race to a delicious four course breakfast/brunch that was deliciously prepared by Chris and served with class by Jim. An added bonus was Jana, a local massage therapist, who came to the Inn and provided a massage for my wife in our room. We can’t say enough good things about this B&B. We highly recommend a stay here for relaxation and peace. There are plenty of things to do in the area with some great examples listed right on their website. Including the chance to have dinner with a local Amish family. We love this place so much we plan a return in the fall. We enjoyed our stay and Chris and Jim’s company so much we felt like we were leaving family when it was time to check out. Stay here. You won’t regret a moment.

We needed a gateway and it was a last minute decision. We were looking for a nice place where we could stay with our dog while visiting the region...and we found this beautiful place. We were 3 (my husband, my son and myself + our dog) and we stayed at Carriage House. The room was very big, no problem to put our crate and an additional bed for our dog. Chris and Jim were the perfect hosts, giving us info and tips for our visits. One of the highlight of our stay was the breakfast prepared by Chris, it was wonderful, tasty and she really pampered us. My only reservation is that the room was close to the Main Street, it's just that I'm not used to it but my son slept like a baby and didn't notice anything. It's also Main Street but in a small village so it's not an highway. I went for a walk around the Inn at sunset and it was beautiful, historical church in front of the Inn

We stayed March 5-7 in the Farmview Cottage and we had such a great, relaxing time! This was a birthday celebration weekend for our sister and our niece joined us. We wanted to go just far enough away, and still have some interesting things to do. Finding the Inn and then the Cottage was a great decision. The cottage was IMMACULATE, well-heated, and the stocked full kitchen was just what we needed since we wanted to make a meal and breakfast together. And even though the country road was just outside, it was so quiet, especially at night. (And we enjoyed the horse and buggy parade on Sunday morning!) The weather was not the best (cold, but thank heavens, no snow!) but on Saturday we still had a great time shopping and a late lunch before coming back. And it was so nice to come back to a house. This was a unique way to spend our time together. There are so many things to do in the area and it is very easy to get around. Jim gave us an orientation (and a great map) that shows everything from stores, shopping, attractions and restaurants (and there are a lot of them). We are thinking we may want to book a stay later this year (maybe early fall) while it is still warm. We want to have breakfast at the Inn. AND that view from the deck and table/chairs are calling us!!!

What a memorable trip away from the city for my partner, dog, and myself. We stayed over Christmas in the detached Farmview cottage, which was clean, cute, and had everything you would need in the kitchen for a few days. We woke up every morning to the sound of horses clip clopping down the street and to beautiful sunrises over the land and farms. Our dog enjoyed the open land to run and play, though was skeptical of the horses trotting by! If you are you looking for a bucolic getaway, look no further! Owners are very responsive, friendly, and treat you like family. Will be back soon.

Thanks so much for choosing our cottage for your Christmas respite. We regret that we are in such times that we were not able to invite you to visit us here at the Inn for breakfast. We hope to see you again in the spring...you will really love it here then. It will be a great change from your day to day life. Warmest regards, Chris, Jim, and your bischon, Gracie

I have stayed with Gracie and her parents 3 years in a row. My friends and I have stayed in both cottages. Both are beautiful, comfy and cozy. Chris is an incredible chef! Her creative breakfasts are the tastiest food ever!!! The inn keepers are very knowledgeable about the area's culture, restaurants and local secret gems. The Inn is my happy place!!

October 25 years ago, we visited Lancaster County Pa. for our anniversary. We stayed at the Churchtown Inn. The owners were wonderful, served great food and offered amazing hospitality. Our stay at the Churchtown 25 years ago instigated our love of exploring B&B's and our continued stays at B&B's across the U.S. This past October we had the opportunity to return to Pennsylvania and of course, we absolutely wanted to see if the Churchtown Inn was still operating. We were so pleased to learn it was and we quickly booked two nights stay. Once AGAIN, the Churchtown Inn EXCEEDED ANY EXPECTATION. The new owners are as ever pleasant and welcoming as the prior. The accommodations this visit were again, comfortable, clean and absolutely cozy. Late night brandy in the parlor and earl morning coffee and tea in the parlor also were wonderful and a great way to meet the other guests. We can't even begin to describe how awesome the 4 course gourmet breakfasts were!! I already requested several of the recipes! The location is convenient to the area attractions, restaurants, and sights. The Inn keepers were happy to offer ideas of things to do and see. For this visit we brought friends along who had never experienced B&B's. They were so impressed with Churchtown Inn that they are now B&B converts. Thank you to Jim and Chris for making our 25 year return visit even better than our first. We absolutely enjoyed our stay--the Innkeepers made everyone comfortable even during these trying times. This Inn is one of the BEST!! Wish we lived closer (than Indiana) we would certainly visit more often. God Bless.

Hi folks, Sorry for just getting this out to say "Thank You." We thank you for your kind words, and they have certainly helped us "keep the faith" during these trying times. We are hoping that things will begin to normalize now that the vaccine is available. We hope you are well and continue to travel and stay and B&Bs when able. Happy New Year. Look for our Newsletter soon. Warmest regards, Chris
