Just arrived home from a three day break I have to say never have I stayed in such a warm and friendly hotel it was my partners 50th birthday and he was so spoilt by the staff off their own backs a lady in restaurant giving him a cake and candle at breakfast and one of the really helpful receptionists who bought in a fiftieth birthday ballon and left it on our room door Nothing was to much trouble for anyone the room was big and very clean and comfortable would highly recommend thank you for a fabulous stay😊 Anita and Rob
We booked to stay on the day we arrived! The staff at Hustyn's on the whole were a pleasure and went out of their way to make our weekend stay a pleasure. Pinka on breakfast duty on Saturday was lovely as was Sammy in the spa. The entrance to the hotel foyer, through the green house would be spectacular other than the windows are filthy and I've never seen cobwebs like them! Once in reception there is a welcoming atmosphere and the check-in was quick and easy. The bedroom itself was a good size, but it was tired and in need of a little love. The bathroom was a great size and in pretty good condition. The continental Breakfast on Saturday was ok.. not a great choice but ok. The cooked breakfast however was exceptional - perfect scrambled eggs. On Sunday however the breakfast 'chef' couldn't make an omelette for my husband as it wasn't on the menu! There were a total of 5 other people in the dining room at the time! It was little things like this which I feel really let the hotel down. On the whole the situation was lovely, the staff friendly and welcoming but the hotel and grounds are tired and need a little love!…
Very generous bedroom and bathroom in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the lake shown on the map is now inaccessible and the area is very overgrown. The restaurant service was poor and the food was not good value for the money. Access to the resort requires careful negotiation of the narrow, twisty lanes but Wadebridge is a lovely town, with easy access to Padstow and the beautiful beach of Polzeath
We are a family of 4 from Liverpool (kids aged 6 and 4). We spent a little over a week at one of the lodges which we rented through Original cottages. This review is about our experience with Hustyns resort. From our first call to reception speaking to Rochelle the day before to throughout our stay the staff were welcoming and made us feel like guests. The main activity for the kids was the swimming pool, which we used everyday! The booking system was simple and very well run - big thumbs up to the team who came up with the idea! The was also a jacuzzi, steam room and a sauna for the adults. The changing areas were clean and the showers worked well. We liked the mobile lockers! We also played mini golf a few times which is always fun. There was an Easter egg hunt which kept the kids occupied- a really nice thought! We felt that the resort was well looked after- gardens well maintained, all areas clean and you could tell that a lot of work was going on on a daily basis to keep the estate in a good state. We visited a couple of beaches- Rock and Newquay and the Camel cycle trail is not far away. We would definitely visit again if we lived closer! A big thank you to Rochelle, Emily, Kelly, Poppy, Debbie, Gareth, Adam & Paul. Sorry if we have missed any names, but all the staff are amazing and made our stay very enjoyable!…
Weekend getaway ruined thanks to poor staff. Rushed check in by Pinka, put in a dirty room and had to argue to get it out right. Charged for breakfast when it was included in the room rate. Only save was the evening meal, which was nice food but still bad service. We complained on check out only to be told how many happy guests they'd had this month.
