This hotel is getting very tired. Floors and stairs squeaky, all walls need repainting, restaurant doors, walls and ceilings need repainting. Slabs from hotel entrance to restaurant entrance all loose and wobble. WiFi was 0.1mbps so didn't bother using it (you can upgrade for £5 per person per day if you'd like faster). Was asked to restock our own toilet roll and hot drinks supplies when we asked if someone could come into our room and do it whilst we were out for the day. We could just about see the sea from our window. Parking is good (was able to park under cover). Access is easy from the main road. Breakfast quality is awful. Hot food was warm, not hot. No muffins as advertised. Coffee machine broke on one day. We actually cancelled our breakfast for the last morning because we really didn't want to eat it and got a McDonalds for half the price instead. Slept very well though and very nice douvet and mattress.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The check out process was swift and within no time we were in our room. Tea and coffee making facilities were ample and if you want more just go and ask at reception. Although there wasn't a fridge for storing my 2 year old sons milk, reception were very happy to store it in their fridge for us. The bed could have been comfier but that's the only complaint I have

A big thank you to all the staff who made us feel really welcome. A special thank you to Tracey and Lisa and all the girls on réception. The girls in housekeeping were also super. We enjoyed our visit and we recommend this hotel. We will stay here again.

Amazing service by reception and housekeeping. Phoned us to tell us room was ready meaning we could plan earlier. Great location for Eden sessions and plentiful, free parking. Food at pub next door was great value too. Thanks for making our trip effortless!

We arrived at the St Austell premier inn and it was clear there was a wedding party also arriving, so I asked if we could have a quiet room as we’d traveled a long way and were really tired. This was immediately sorted for us by the lovely Kate at the check in desk, she moved us to a different wing and the room was a bit of a trek but away from the crowds, which we really appreciated. The room was clean and tidy, very warm and there was no air con for some reason, the temperature control on the wall was blank, no display, but there was a fan so that was fine. We spent a comfortable night and went for breakfast in the morning. The restaurant was fairly busy but not too bad, and having stayed in Premier Inns before I knew they catered well for vegetarians like myself, so looked forward to a good meal. However the hot choices weren’t great, there was a bit of scrambled egg, one tomato that looked like it had been thrown against a wall, no vegetarian sausages, no mushrooms. When I asked the guy bringing the food out where these were, he just said they didn’t have any and rushed back into the kitchen. I realise there are other things to have, but when you pay for a hot breakfast, I’d expect the options listed to be available!
